Service is good. Friendly environment and I would come back If I needed another windshield and would recommend to a friend. The only critiques I have are after the windshield was replaced the seal on the outside of the windshield (where it meets the molding) does not look like a factory seal on one side. That is probably my attention to detail and it doesn't appear to hurt anything. Drivers side is perfect, passenger side is not flush, and with a slight fold down by the wipers as well. Also, there was a slight noise vibration around where the dash connects connect to the interior trim by the windshield by the inside lower passenger side. For the record, that noise appears to have gotten better and no proof that had anything to do with the replacement windshield but had not noticed anything like that prior. I am 95% happy with the job and really like this shop and everyone I came into contact with. I made an appointment to have some windshield chips filled and ended up just going with a replacement. I previously had one or two chips filled last year and there ended up being around 5 more that needed to be done. Had a great consultation and realized it was the better option. Something I thought was really cool, the tech even placed my oil change reminder on the new windshield for me. I like that little detail and it was appreciated. I don't know everyone would have done that. Upon leaving I was told not to wash the car for 48 hours and they would call in a couple days and check in. The call or check in never happened but that is ok, I still recommend this business. In summary, the service was good, techs and representatives were friendly (the people make the difference there), and the replacement looks good, it works just fine. read more

I took my 2024 Acura Integra in for windshield replacement for a small crack in the bottom of the windshield. My insurance company directed me there. The process of scheduling was easy. However, while replacing the windshield, they chipped the paint around on the A-pillar at the top corner. They refuse to admit they did any damage. Their "before" pictures are blurry and do not show any damage. If they found damage before, I find it illogical that they would not document with clear pictures, that were timestamped. The customer service defers me to the store manager. They refuse to do anything or admit they did any damage. It is a 7 month old car, now with chips around the windshield. Had a rock, or some debris, hit my windshield as I was passing a truck on the highway. What was a small chip that could be covered up by a nickel, turned into a huge crack while my car was parked within the time my insurance could get someone to fill the chip. Made an appointment with Safelite, they were able to get me in after a couple of days, and the process was overall very seamless. It was easy to upload my insurance information, text messages kept me updated throughout the process, I was in and out for my appointment in less time than projected, and the work appears to be well done. Safelite replaced our windshields on August 11, 2023. I bring my car to the shop at 9:00 am, but they didn't start working on it until 2:30 pm. Safelite called at 4:00 pm to inform me that the vehicle was ready for pickup. In Safelite e-mail state "important things to know: "Please wait at least two hours before removing any tape from your auto glass." However, I did not see any tape on my windshield when I pick up my car. As soon as I got into the car, I noticed that the windshield was dusty and very dirty, the outer seals weren't properly installed, causing the windshield to not be waterproof. Inside, the car's headliner wasn't reattached correctly and was now hanging loosely from the ceiling. Additionally, there are wires sticking out from the casing behind the rearview mirror. When I pointed this out, to their manager. He said, "That's how it was before." Which is not true. I purchased a brand-new 2023 Toyota Sienna Hybrid Platinum edition on July 15, 2023. The ceiling on my car was not loose and I did not see the wire sticking outside. I only own this vehicle for less than one month. Now the outer seals weren't properly installed, headliners are hanging loose, and wires stick out after Safelite did the work. He claimed ignorance about the windshield situation, including why he even suggested that's how it's supposed to look. It's concerning that a Safelite manager doesn't seem familiar with proper windshield installation, especially for a new car where the headliner should definitely not be hanging precariously. I wonder if this is because I'm a female, making him think he can deceive me about their mistake. Safelite didn't admit that their installation was faulty, but I requested them to fix it. After some back and forth, he finally agreed for me to bring the car back for re-inspection, but they asked me to wait for 10 days. Given that the mistake was due to Safelite's installation error, it's frustrating to have to wait another 10 days for them to fix their own error. Moreover, they asked for full payment on 8/11 before rectifying their mistake. There's a forecast for heavy rain in the next ten days. I shouldn't have to drive around with duct tape on my new car's windshield, hoping that the electronics don't get damaged if rain enters the car. Had I known about Safelite's approach, I would have preferred to keep the original cracked windshield. My car would have been better off without Safelite touching it. Welp, after living downtown for three years, my car window was finally bashed in. I knew it was likely to happen with crime increasing in my neighborhood and I even added window replacement to my car insurance coverage a few months back. It's a bummer, but it happens. After filing the claim with my insurance they dispatched me to Safelite to get the damage repaired/replaced. The soonest they could get me in was 5 days later. As it turns out, someone took a stroll down my street and hit up about 10 cars so their schedule was rather tight. This happened on a Thursday night and they arrived on Tuesday right at the beginning of the time frame they advised me of. I appreciated the timeliness of my tech, Jason. He was super professional from start to finish. Also, very respectful of health and safety measures. Wore his mask, gloves, wiped down my car after being in it, etc. I actually ended up getting my front windshield replaced as well. Due to an accident that happened like 2 years ago, I figured why not get both fixed at the same time. I turned an unfortunate event into what I call a "peak adulting" opportunity. They gave me a good discount for adding on the service and I threw in new windshield wipers due to another good deal they had going on. Contacted them, gave them my email, set up 2 phone calls for both associates to lazily tell me the exact same thing the person who told me the warranty does not cover the damage. So I went to a local replacement business and they took care of me for less than half of what safelite charged me. Its been some time since the replacement and the new windshield holds up. I had a very small front windshield crack for which I had Safelite (Harmon Rd. Columbus, Ohio) to repair approximately 30 days ago. Shortly after leaving the repair shop, (on a very rainy day) I noticed the crack was still quite visible and the repair was a sloppy job. I have been trying unsuccessfully to reach this location to do a follow up "warranty inspection and redo" on the aforementioned crack. This has been one of the most frustrating encounters I've ever experienced with trying to find resolution. I have called at least 10 times, only to be rerouted via computer voice commands with no luck. I emailed safelite 3 days ago and still have not had a reply. This place was great. From the moment I walked in I felt welcomed and appreciated. Service was friendly and fast. I was able to wait inside. They had kcups and water available and the guy at the desk was watching Masters of the universe :) Haha why aren't all car shops like this. Very pleased with my experience. Highly recommend. Don't risk it!! Had a small chip on a brand new 2023 car. Took it in for repair (paid $150 online before I even took it in) and they told me there was very, very small chance that it could get worse. He came back in and told me it cracked worse. Now I have a huge crack along my whole windshield and they can't find a replacement because it's a new car. I called the dealership and the replacements are on back order so they can't give me an ETA but they did give me a quote of $1,597. So I had a small chip that is now a $1,597 replacement thanks to Safelite! Oh and they have to "submit a reimbursement" for the $150 so who knows how long that will take. read more

One month and three appointments and my windshield is still not repaired. Two times, technicians arrive without the correct part (despite knowing the make and model and year of my car). Once, they cancelled because the part was lost. If there is a mistake, be prepared to call them b/c no one will call you to reschedule (despite what the technician says). I was the unfortunate recipient of a small rock chip in windshield from a lawnmower as I was driving down the road a few weeks ago. I was going to let it go bc it was so little, but I plan on keeping my truck for awhile and mostly for to Safelites commercials stating that a chip in a windshield will most likely spread, I decided to call them and have the resin put into the chip thinking it would make my windshield look new. The online set up made it really easy to schedule, but I found out my insurance doesn't cover the chip repair. The repair was scheduled a few days out at my convenience and the gentleman who came out was extremely friendly and knowledgeable while he explained the process. The job took maybe 35 minutes and the resin was applied. Unfortunately the chip looks the same and I'm out $55. Hopefully it doesn't spread. I'm not the most impressed. read more

$240 to replace a back driver's side window that was broken into. Expensive. Yes. But they clean all the glass, vacuum, etc. So you don't have to worry. My wife brought the car back home after this shop replaced the rear window. Small pieces of glass on the seat and on the drivers seat below the headrest. After being on hold 10 minutes, the manager finally comes on. He was apologetic. Said we could bring it back in or they would stop back out and clean it up properly free of charge. So $240. 1 1/2 hours of my time, and now I either have to make the trip again (and probably wait 30 minutes before they actually come get my car like the first time) or wait around at my house for a 4 hour window of when they might arrive to complete the job they didn't finish right the first time. I was skeptical, thinking there's no way it's a simple as the commercials make it look, but it really was. It took me about 5 minutes to enter my information from my phone and they took care of everything from figuring out the insurance, to an immediate reasonable quote, and a convenient appointment time. Our car window was broken while parked overnight at the Columbus Convention Center East Lot. We were in town for a work convention, and unfortunately had to deal with this while also running a booth at the GCCC. Safelite got us scheduled for repair the next day, and Scott, who came to do the repairs onsite, was very nice, helpful, and informative. He worked with my schedule and called me 15 minutes before he got there so I could have time to head out from the depths of the convention center to meet him. He then let me go back to work while he worked, and called me again 15 minutes before he was done. In addition to fixing the window, he vacuumed up the mess, and cleaned all the windows. We are a small business that depends on our vehicles to keep our drivers working and revenue coming in. I ordered a replacement windshield online using the vehicle VIN to ensure the correct windshield was ordered. I was told the balance due was $618.13 - via email. A tech arrived a few days later for the install and after about 30 minutes he stated he had the wrong part and would return later that afternoon. 3-4 days later, after not hearing anything I contacted Safelite again and was told they apologize and would send a tech out the next day. I again received an email saying the balance due was $618.13. The next tech arrived and promptly told me that he was unable to replace the windshield that day. Fast forward another couple days (without hearing anything) and I receive an email stating meet my tech, Peyton. Peyton was great, courteous and professional. However he informed me that the price had increased to over $730. I inquired why and he directed me to contact the shop directly or call customer care. I called customer care and was repeatedly told by the representative that I had selected the wrong part while ordering online. I replicated the steps while on the phone with her and confirmed there are no different parts or options to order. The options are only to replace the windshield or repair the windshield. Even after doing this the rep began raising her voice stating I selected the wrong part. She informed me she has worked there for 25+ years and knows that I selected the wrong part. I finally asked for another rep or a manager. She transferred me to the shop instead. The shop told me what was due and that was all. They offered a few discounts, but the total was still considerably higher than the original amount. The man then recommended I call customer care again... So I did. Again I was told I ordered the wrong part and it was my fault. So, now with my windshield removed I'm being told I have no option but to pay the higher amount. Even after as a small business we have been unable to use the vehicle for nearly two weeks. Poor customer service. read more

My windshield had cracked all the way across, safelite came out and replaced the windshield in the middle of January and with the car out in the cold uncovered. Turns out the damaged windshield had already been replaced once (possibly at the dealership) and had not been installed properly. It took the technician a bit longer to remove the old windshield, but he still did it with care. The new windshield looks great and I can confidently say is installed much better than the previous glass. read more

Don't walk away from this company- RUN- I used Safelite in Virginia for replacement windshield in Feb and within two weeks I had thousands of micro chips in the glass. They refused to correct the mistake and told me it was normal "wear and tear". Obviously it was defective glass and probably sub-standard materials used. I have a brand new car & you can imagine the frustration when I got a big chip in my windshield while driving to work. The same night, I went online & was able to make an appointment with Safelite on the spot, for the same day! They're available to book through their website 24/7 and you get an appointment option (in shop or at home) as well as an appointment time option! I was scheptical about using my insurance since I didn't want to use my deductible, but as it turns out, most major insurance companies cover windshield and window damages as long as the whole windshield doesn't need replaced through Safelite. Less than 14 hrs. after it happened, I pulled in the the Safelite Repair location near my work (I chose this over the "at home" service since I was in the area and they had an early morning appointment available). They were very courteous, already had my information from my appointment online & I ended up using my insurance with NO MONEY out of pocket! The tech explained the service to me, took the car in their service bay, fixed my windshield chip, vaccuumed my car & cleaned all my windows! Super friendly, fast service & lifetime warranty on the work they performed! It doesn't get easier than that! Unprofessional, disrespectful and incompetent! My insurance company had Safelite replace my Corvette windshield after a truck rock broke it. During the 3 1/2 hour replacement process, they destroyed the dashboard in my car! I took the car to the Safelite shop on Harmon Avenue where "Ryan" looked at it and then told me that his 'expert' would have to look at it. I drove 50 miles to meet the 'expert' who agreed that the dash could not be repaired and would have to be replaced. After another 2 weeks of stalling and avoiding me, "Ryan" at Safelite finally agreed to the replacement and instructed me to take it to the Chevy dealer. The dealer had the car for a full week before calling me to come pick it up. He said that Safelite told him 6 days earlier that they changed their mind and would not fix the damage even though their people caused it. No one from Safelite ever called me to tell me that they had reneged and I still can't get a coherent person on the phone. Now I have a damaged Corvette dash and a big bill to fix it. My advice is to stay as far as possible from Safelite - especially from "Ryan" and the entire Harmon Avenue store! read more
