I just picked up my SUV from Gerber Collision and Glass on Olentangy Rd in Powell. They did an AWESOME job! They even cleaned my interior windows and console. Vince is the new manager since the Winter of 2024. He brought a team of experienced guys, including a trusted painter with over 25 years' experience! The previous team was a nightmare! I had been going to Gerbers for 20 years and never had a problem until about a year ago, when I took it to the former management. The Lexus I drive has a white pearlized paint, which is a bit tricky to handle. They had a new guy painting who messed it up no less than 4 times! Each time it was a different problem, first it was a hair in the paint, then the tape pulled the paint off, etc., etc., it took WEEKS to get it back and it stil wasn't right. The new manager, Vince, an experienced manager, knew what had to be done. He had to correct some mistakes made on the front end, caused by the previous team, and got it done beautifully in a WEEK! If you had a bad experience before winter of 2024, try Gerbers again! I promise, you will be thrilled with the results! read more

Got my car repaired for minor hit from a garage parking spot and I'll tell ya, these guys fixed my car within a week when quoted 2 weeks. They even got it so nice that it made my car look brand new. On top of that, my interior of my car was super clean and they even buffed out the mess up i made on my hood and it looks brand new too! To top it off, the staff is super friendly and they treat you like family. I would always recommend anyone to come to this collision center. My car was towed here after a bad accident. After going thru my vehicle after it was towed again I noticed that some items in my vehicle had been stolen, including ray bans. Of course when I cal they tell me they do not have security cameras and they are not responsible for any items missing from the vehicle. How convenient. Thanks for kicking someone while they were down. Enjoy my belongings. Update** nothing was ever done. They ever replaced or called to apologize. They contacted my husband and apologized-still doesn't make it right. I was out $300 in ray bans! read more

And so the crap continues. I will post pictures later. I was asked to bring my car to the Grandview location for them to look at. And what a joke that was. The "manager" had an excuse for everything. The spots on the doors and on the trunk, where the paint was missing, were caused by rocks. And the spots on the front of the car were from rocks or debris. Interesting FACT, my mom has a Toyota Camry that is older than my Corolla, and guess what...she doesn't have one mark on the hood, and she doesn't have ONE spot on her car where there is paint that is missing. As for the taillight that now has water in it, he blamed me! Seriously, he said that the slight bump that I took in the rear of the car is the cause of the water in my taillight. Yeah, right. Then we got to the rust around my left rear tire, which has now taken over a third to a half of the rim, was caused by Toyota. Yes, it was a Toyota design flaw. Hmmmm, my mom's Toyota has NO RUST on it all. He said it was because Toyota has a lip on the inside of the rim that collects salt and then causes rust. Lastly, he promised I would get a call back within 48 hours. Ummmm...it's been a month now. No call back! They don't guarantee their work at all. They just find excuses to not fix their mistakes. read more

I have taken my 2015 mustang here several times and they always do b excellent work and it's guaranteed for the life of the vehicle. My mustang was spray painted on every surface and they got it looking like new, my dad backed into my mustang and they fixed the passenger side headlight and quarter panel, I hit a deer, and most recently an anonymous person put a huge dent in my driver side door and you can't tell that there has been any damage to my vehicle. I got hit by a semi that fled the scene. It was traumatic. It was expensive. But all things considered, Gerber Collision was a dream come true. Expensive only because the driver that hit me left and I lacked hit skip coverage. The repairs took a bit longer than expected, but that's car repair biz, baby, and I have no doubt that they worked as quickly as possible. They were accommodating when I needed my car back, even though there were some minor imperfections that they wanted to address - they let me have my car and bring it in at a later date for the final touch up. After receiving my car, the body looked good as new and the interior had been cleaned and was spotless to boot. I couldn't be happier with my experience at Gerber Collision. Hopefully I won't have to work with them again, but if I do, I know my car will be taken care of and I'll receive friendly, compassionate service all the while. read more

Not only does this location exhibit disorganization and horrible customer service, but it does not complete repairs properly and refuses to take responsibility for unfinished work. In addition, they have no regard for the personal time of their customers and will try to overcharge you and hope you overlook their mistakes. This place is the definition of a scam artist. Wish I would've read the reviews online before choosing to get my "repairs" completed here. Unfortunately, the pressure of insurance guided me in their direction and I was not only unimpressed, but also left with more problems than I had when I took my car in. Don't make the same mistake I did! Take your car anywhere but here! Update: after getting my trunk lid "repaired" my interior trunk light AND my rear defrost are inoperable. The wiring all goes directly under the insulation of the trunk lid yet I have been told it's not possible that this happened as a result of the work done at Gerber. I assured the manager, Kellea Wyatt that it was in working order after my accident and before my repairs. She originally suggested I commit insurance fraud by opening a new claim with my insurance company (even though both parts were working perfectly post accident until I retrieved my car from Gerber). Now it appears as if she has quit responding altogether to my questions and concerns about their repair process and how this may have happened. read more

My 2008 Pilot had some front end damage, took to Gerber on a recommendation. It was around Christmas, so everything was delayed by quite a bit, but of all the shops anywhere close to me, they were the quickest. That alone is not too important to me, but it was very nice. They were able to put OEM parts on the car, and kept me up to date on its progress. I picked it up and immediately drove it for a while, about 150 miles. There was a small rattle, but the car had absolutely zero performance issues. I let them know the next business day. They took it that day and took care of the rattle. A couple of weeks ago, I was in my first car accident as an adult. I got rear-ended in late rush hour traffic. Luckily no one was injured. The other driver's insurance recommended this repair shop, and as it's only a few minutes from where I work and a few more from where I live, I decided to just go with their recommendation. I took my car in for an estimate, and everyone was very nice. Bill is the man who looked over my car and pointed out damage I hadn't even noticed. Once he'd photographed it and documented the needed repairs, he got on the phone and arranged to get the parts. This was on a Thursday afternoon. He told me the car would be done on Monday or Tuesday. The girl at the desk arranged my rental car for me, and it appeared within minutes. This is probably thanks in large part to Nationwide Insurance's network, but it was very nice nonetheless. I got a phone call from Bill on Tuesday saying one of the parts had come in later than expected, so my car wouldn't be done when he'd estimated, but should be completed by Thursday. Thursday morning I got a call saying it was completed. I drove my rental over there after work, exchanged its keys for my own keys, signed one form, and was able to drive away in a car with a shiny new bumper and exhaust. When I got in the car, I noticed that they had vacuumed and dusted the interior as well. All in all, the whole process was a lot less of a hassle than I'd expected, and I have nothing but good things to say about Bill and the people at True 2 Form. read more

This place does good collision work but we had to come back a few days later bc our radio doesn't work. We called they told us to look it up in the owner manual. We couldnt figure it out so this Saturday we came to get it fixed but when walking in the only woman working was looking at a car next to us. I stood inside for a few minutes and came back out asked the woman if she was the only one working. She said yes. I thought was kind of rude not to acknowledge me knowing this as I came in. So we walked into lobby to wait instead of the heat. Then she came in to greet the only other customer. Walked her out with the employees 9 yr oldish daughter attached to her hip. She then greets us when she comes back with her child. She should have came back with better customer service. read more

When I was sideswiped a couple of months ago, I was more annoyed that I was going to have to get my car repainted than anything. The last time I had my car repaired, it took the company (not this one) three times before it was an acceptable paint color match. I didn't have the patience to go through that again. Gerber was a pleasure to work with. The estimate was done pretty quickly, and I took my car back a few weeks later. It was done a day early, but as I was doing my inspection I noticed the underside of the mirror had not been repaired. When I brought this up, I was told they would fix it right away and I could come back the next day (which was okay with me). I returned the following day, and everything was done to my acceptable standards (which are pretty high). The paint job looked great, and the inside of my car was spotless. I made sure to tell the guy who cleaned the inside of my car that he did a great job. Windows were washed, seats/floors were vacuumed, and the interior was dusted. Hopefully I'll never have a reason to deal with Gerber again, but I would definitely recommend them to others! read more

I was in a incident here recently. I told the insurance to tow my truck there. I'm not from around here so I heard of Gerber so I said take it there. Well the problem is they did an estimate on my truck at 20k and it took frame damage they told insurance it could be repaired. But let me remind you they was wanting to put aftermarket parts on a 2017 Ford I hadn't even had a year. Plus I wasn't the one at fault. So what I'm saying is if you have a new car take it to a dealership cause Gerber will say anything can be repaired and they don't care about you the customer which makes them a company they just care about pleasing the insurance so they will tell you to take your car there. Be smart and don't take your car there they will try and put cheap aftermarket parts on your car to make it cheaper on the insurance read more

June this year my '14 Jeep Wrangler was subject to some 'carved deeply into the sides of it' hate speech while parked in The Short North in broad daylight. Situations beyond anyone's control kept me from getting the body repairs completed until mid August. Setting things up seemed ok. I didn't know anything might be an indicator to future issues. I proceeded with the repairs at the Grandview location but the Jeep was transported you the Grove City location. I had zero contact with that shop other than they left a voice mail indicating progress status. I went to pick it up from the Grandview location where I dropped it off when I was notified it wss ready for pick up. I was angry....it didn't look like much had been done so I refused to take possession. There was excuses made my the lady that I was working with amass I don't care....I wanted it to be looking better than they had it. They didn't do the repairs there so contact had to be made with the Grove City shop. Pieces I pointed out she couldn't address. It was frustrating to say the least. I was called to pick it up a few days later. I went right away to get it....again excuses, again what I was pointing out wasn't in the contact for repairs.....a sad situation. How could the area where carving occurred in my Jeep that still has evidence not be in the contact. She was again very excuse based. I just took it and left. I believe I might have handled my frustration differently had I been treated with a real customer focus. The work was not done completely or totally in my opinion but I gave up. Gerber has had my motorhome for 5+ months beginning August 21 and have done nothing to it except remove the front cap and radiator. The motorhome was promised in November. The excuse is that they can't get parts. The parts weren't ordered until October even though the major parts were clearly destroyed. and I have easily found the parts online with a little effort. If I had known they were going to sit on it I would have taken it elsewhere. Now it cannot be transported. The damage is e. Gerber has not inspected to roof which is probably damaged also. I do not trust their finished work at this point if it ever gets fixed at all. I expect I won't get it back for months as the excuses continue. Frustrated, disappointed and fed up. read more

First, take pix of your odometer and interior. There apparently are elves that mess with your vehicle and leave beveridge messes. Second, drop your vehicle off with an almost empty gas tank. This will prevent the mysterious evaporation of your gasoline. It will also ensure return of your vehicle at the earliest date. If you have tools or any equipment or supplies, remove them. Drop the vehicle off as empty as possible. Don't expect any answers on return date. You'll get your car back when your gasoline is almost gone. Take pix of all damage, even the smallest. You are going to have to live with what is missed or what is poorly repaired. (My driver window used to lower or raise with a touch but doesn't anymore.) If your insurance company suggests you return the vehicle to Gerber, DO NOT DO THAT. If your insurance company makes you pick this place, you are stuck. If you have any other choice, choose it! read more

Brought my car in on a Monday morning and it was ready by Tuesday afternoon! Extremely friendly staff; did not expect my car to be cleaned by Gerber (inside and outside), but it looked like new! I would NOT recommend this organization. My car was side swiped, and brought here for repair on recommendation of my insurance company. Car was brought back to repair center 5 times with differing problems. Here's the list of issues upon each pickup: -Driver side doors not adjusted properly upon reinstall. Could hear wind coming through door when driving. -Improper reassembly of rear suspension/under carriage causing knocking noise. -Additional dent found that they had failed to repair. -Some type of 'debris' left in frame that would rattle back and forth when turning. -Burn marks in rear seat belt (they had to replace) -Clear coat was splattered on and was rough to touch -Rear passenger door leaking (continuing to be an issue) After the 5th trip back to Gerber, only to pick up the car with continued leaking rear door, I had had enough and asked for a refund. To date I have not received a call back from their upper management, as requested. Next step is complaint to the better business bureau and possible legal action. (on a side note, I was the good guy here. Was courteous and patient each time I brought it back and had to wait for enterprise to come pick me up. Did not go irate and start screaming and yelling. Apparently the good guys get taken advantage of here. I have been dealing with this for 5 months now as of 7/15/13) read more

I've had two very positive experiences at this location. The employees and staff at Gerber have always been extremely courteous and professional. They have excellent communication regarding updates, insurance, rentals and other transportation needs. They go out of their way to repair anything that may be affected by the collision (external and internal damage), and take the time to do it right with authentic parts and paints. They are willing to work with you if something's not completely satisfactory, so I would communicate with them before taking it out on here. I personally requested them for the second incident, and I was very happy with the result for a second time: They really helped take the stress off during a potentially stressful event. I've never had auto body work done to any car I've ever owned so I didn't know where to go or who to talk to or how the entire process worked. They were astoundingly helpful with all of that. They answered all of my questions quickly and accurately, the explained the entire process to me from my rental car, to what they were going to do, to how long they estimated it would take (my insurance adjustor estimated 4 days, but they estimated 12-14 days based on my damage and paint needs - the repair took 15 days but one of those days was a holiday). I had 2 separate claims: a great deal of hail damage all over my car and somebody ran into my drivers side door so i had a big dent and scratch there too. I got a phone call updating me on my car's progress every other day at least including text message alerts when certain parts were completed on my car. It was awesome! I felt like I was involved in every aspect and kept completely in the loop. The girl at the front desk was very friendly and knew exactly what she was doing, despite still being in the late stages of training. The guy in charge spoke to me directly both when I dropped off my car and when I picked it up and he remembered me! Even the guy who was buffing my car was friendly and professional. I HIGHLY recommend this company based both on the completed product (my Subaru looks brand new again!) and because of the excellent customer service! read more

So just a quick update. Kelly and her team replaced our drivers seat and we picked up our vehicle today. She made sure we had a rental car for the couple days it took to replace the seat. When we picked up the vehicle we noticed our tires were shiny and that really gave us the WOW factor. Not only was the seat replaced but the team took the time to do a little extra. I have to say working in customer service for 21 years really makes you look at how you're treated as a customer at places. Our expectations were exceeded and then some. Don't ever go to gerber collision. I had my envoy repaired by them 6 yrs ago. When i got my vehicle back it wasn't vacuum and left a piece of trim on my seat. 2 months later i saw that the fan blade for cooling the radiator was wobbling and that should been something they should had inspected right before releasing the vehicle. I bought it back and they denie me fixing it. I had to call insurance to fix the problem. And now 6 yrs later the radiator is leaking coolant and they don't want to fix it. They say it has lifetime warranty but its not true. The transmission was flushed about 2 yrs ago and there is some markings on the fitting of the cooling line and now gerber saying that it was tempered with. The manager or the girls on the front desk don't have no knowledge on what parts are called on a vehicle. I had to actually explain to the the part name etc. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place at all cost. They only friendly when they going get your money. But when its a warranty job they turn their back on you. Its sad that their customer service is horrible. Their managers and workers need training on automotive. read more

This was my first time working with an Auto Body shop after someone hit my parked car. Tasha at the front office was a huge help in answering all of my questions and walking me through everything. After the insurance company refused to pay for the Factory replacement parts (they wanted to use cheap "off-brand" parts), it looked like I would have to pay money out of pocket to get my vehicle repaired to its previous condition. Tasha took the time to call around to suppliers and find one that was willing to match the price of the Factory part with the cheaper aftermarket part. Not only did I get the repairs I wanted, despite losing a fight with the insurance company, I didn't have to pay anything extra. They did a great job matching the paint colors and my vehicle looks like it did before the accident. Not only that, they cleaned, washed, and vacuumed out my car before giving it back to me. Every employee I interacted with was friendly and professional and made sure I was happy with the work and informed on what was happening and why. My car's passenger door mirror was hit in a parking lot, knocking it out of place. I had a $500 deductible and was anticipating paying out of pocket to get it fixed. First off their commercials about their turn around time and satisfaction, a complete joke. They have had my truck for 2 1/2 months so far. They have tried to release my truck to me twice so far each time with issues. The first time I was missing parts had a factory hose clamp behind a Gerber installed hose clamp not a half inch away from the old hose clamp on my water pump restricting flow of coolant. Took it upon themselves to remove the $200 worth of aftermarket headlight bulbs and install poor light quality bulbs. Damaged my frame during repair resulting in a total frame replacement. Fluid all over every component that holds fluid. As soon as I open the door to my truck the door panel had a half inch gap between the door and the panel itself. Grease all over the door handle and seat. The stability track traction control and ABS lights were all on all of which weren't even on after the accident. The individual dealing with my claim ( Derek Snyder ) tried to convince me that those lights were on prior to their visit and that the codes were stored in the system. If they were on prior to the visit wouldn't it be in the estimated cost of repairing the vehicle because I know if it were my buddy shop a truck would not leave there was anything wrong with it after that extensive repair. My inner tie rod boot was completely twisted in a bind to where it was so tight that turning the wheel may have caused it to rip. Pointed out and emailed list to the claims adjuster ( Derek Snyder ) at Gerber so that he did not forget anything and still ended up not installing a splashguard that protects the ECU to my engine. During the second occasion I attempted to start my truck and it made a high-pitched squealing noise along with several grinding noises when the starter engaged. Keep in mind this is after all issues should have been fixed and each time the vehicle was inspected prior to release by management. The splashguard was still not installed I attempted to test drive my vehicle as I was driving down the road and I noticed that it Felt unstable while driving in a straight line like something was pulling me in either direction which tells me that the alignment was not correct. On the way back to the shop with the role of the road tipping my truck to the right it was wanting to pull me to the left. As I approached the shop parking lot my brakes were virtually nonexistent and extremely spongy, prior to leaving I heard a clunking noise in the front left suspension when applying the brakes. As I pulled into the parking lot with the rotation of driveshaft and wheels something would make a ticking noise like a 10 speed bicycle sprocket. Since all of this I have filed a complaint with their corporate call center twice each time I was told that I would be contacted by someone, on the first occasion it was the branch manager on the second occasion I was told I would be contacted by the Indiana state manager, none which have happened. As far as my experience is concerned there people seem to be completely clueless about anything in the way of customer satisfaction or quality of work. The communication with the shop is almost nonexistent. I have to contact them asking what is going on with my vehicle before any updates are given. Managements response to me on the last occasion was that he had been there for one week and he is not familiar with my vehicle. In my eyes any management position in an auto body facility should be familiar with how a vehicle should leave their shop after repairs have been completed whether they have been at that shop for a week or 20 years. There seems to be no knowledge amongst mechanics whatsoever. It's almost as if they have taken people straight out of school and thrown them directly in their shop with no prior experience whatsoever. There is no quality of work at all. I expressed my concerns with management during the entire process and let them know several times that I would not be accepting my vehicle if it was not done correctly, yet they called me to pick up a vehicle with grease in the seat missing parts and repairs done in a poor shoddy fashion. If I was anyone associated with this branch of Gerber collision I would be completely embarrassed to wear anything with their name on it or be affiliated with their company in anyway shape or form. I hope many people read this review and take away from it what they should. I would not recommend Gerber to a single soul not even for a scratch on a bicycle. During one of my visits I even overheard a conversation between the lady and the same individual in regards to a leak on a car that was returned to her. read more

My window was busted at the gym the thief was attracted to a glasses case in the backseat. I didnt see anything right off the back til I opened the case and some of the glasses were missing.I called the police and insurance company nothing they could do. The insirance company estimated cost of repairs at 275. Everyone suggested safelite 275 was their estimate. I shopped and google some more and found Gerber. The estimate for mobile was 175 so I requested t make an appt and I spoke to a wonderful lady who verified my estimate to be correct and they had the glass for my car. They did have the glass and the estimate of 175 was correct however not including tax she gave me a coupon which brought my total down to 166.96. My technician Jake called today was very timely and fixed my window quickly. I hope to never be in this position again but if I do I will definitely use Gerber again. I feel like this company really cares. read more
