When my last vehicle got total lost, they don't even have a available date for pick up after three months

Gerber collision has been nothing but a nightmare handling my insurance claim. first it took them more than a month beyond when they were supposed to be done with the work. the work was terribl! they couldn't even do the lettering on the car right with both the front and rear lettering being done incorrectly ( entire rear is off center and the front letter is raised to the right!). they will do you not one favor and will help your insurance out by saving them any money possible and leaving you out of pocket. Gerbers work is sub par and don't expect any help from your insurance. dont expect to get anything taken care of when you see that the work they completed was below average. Go to Gerber to get your body work done but I would bring a lawyer with you. you're gonna need one when you are done dealing with them. read more

So I never do reviews. But my experience here was so terrible I had to. If I could give ZERO stars I would. I went to Gerber because my insurance suggested them for a repair after hitting a deer. To start, my car took way longer than they claimed it would to repair. I was understanding, as I know it takes time to get parts and paint. But also...if you had to replace my hood, my passenger side light, passenger side door, and passenger side fender...why are you not replacing the bumper, but instead "painting over it"?? If you're going to replace my right fender, right light, right passenger door, and hood...why not replace the bumper?? And can someone tell me why I got charged extra money for "COVID". When I got my car back everything looked alright...until I drove it home. Once I started driving the vehicle the passenger side of the front bumper (the side that was "repaired") started popping out of place. I didn't think it was a big deal so I would pop it back into place. This happened nearly every time I drove. Then a few days ago it would not pop back in place. I secured it with zip ties so it was drive-able. Then I called Gerber to try and get the issue resolved. They never called me back. So I emailed James Hess, who handled my repair. We met today (Friday) and he looked at my car. James spent no more than 2 minutes looking at my vehicle. I showed him my bumper and the fact that it pops out and is not secured. Just by looking you can clearly see the bumper is not in place. He felt under the bumper and looked at the plastic covering underneath. James then claimed that my damage was new, that I must have hit something, and therefore my warranty is void. What he was claiming new damage you ask? A scuff and a scratch. (But wait it gets better). I looked at the scuff and scratch. Pointed out that I could rub off whatever he was claiming to be a scuff. Then I actually rubbed off whatever he thought was a scuff, revealing no damage. James proceeded to say "well you can tell you hit something because where we painted over your bumper the paint is gone". I got down on the ground to look at this scratch and as anyone with vision can tell, THE PAINT IS STILL INTACT. I pointed this out to him, and I also mentioned the fact that had I hit something, there would be damage to the plastic and other parts of my vehicle. Instead of taking a second look, James said "Well you had to have hit something and that voids your warranty". I was then told they wouldn't be doing anything to help me. I have attached pictures of the issue they are refusing to fix as well as the scratch they claim is missing paint...you be the judge. Luckily my insurance agent is great and has contacted my adjuster for the claim, and said he will be contacting the Nationwide manager and Gerber to handle the issue. 0/10 WOULD NOT recommend taking your vehicle here. Take it to that guy down the street who uses YouTube videos to weld his differential before you go here. I Promise you will get better customer service and get your vehicle truly fixed better than Gerber ever could. read more

When I picked up my car on October 3 my seat adjustments weren't working. I took it to my Lexus dealer and they pointed out 5 things that were wrong with my repairs (and my seats weren't working because they had not been connected after my door was put back on for painting the front fender). My car went back to Gerber on October 16. Back to Lexus on October 23. 4 of the 5 things that were wrong (according to Lexus and State Farm) were still not fixed. State Farm gave direction to take my car somewhere else Wednesday of this week. I still do not have my car back. read more

My entire experience with Gerber Collision was excellent and they far exceeded my expectations I brought my new Lexus in for an estimate ( I stupidly tore the left side bumper off backing out of my garage). Neil took his time and carefully looked over my car. He listened, he was appreciative of my budget and attempt to repair well without breaking my bank. I was paying out of pocket and he took the time to give me a detailed and fair estimate. I went to a collision center next door and they were horrible - didn't talk to me and just threw out a huge number They arranged service quickly - I was able to drop keys off in their overnight box and much to my surprise received texts updating me at least twice a day. They finished in half the time they estimated ( just a few days) My car was spotless when I got it back and they did an amazing job. read more

Our Insurance agent recommended them for repair after being in an accident. Very negative experience. I refused to pick up my vehicle twice due to shoddy workmanship. They had my front bumper aligned on an angle where there was a 1/2" gap on one side and flush to quarter panel on other side of vehicle. They did not place gasket correctly on fog lamp and it filled with rain water. My vehicle was on only two years old at time of service. You should get back vehicle you had before accident not a revised and secondary version. Would definitely not recommend them at all. No pride in work at all. I had a bad wheel bearing as a result of accident that I did not catch immediately. I thought it was tread sound of new tire that had to be replaced. read more

Our car door on our 2011 Dodge was severely dented and we decided to take it to Gerber Collision &Glass. During the time it was at the shop, Gerber staff called, emailed AND sent texts to inform us of their progress. When we had questions, the VERY friendly and helpful staff always took the time to answer. Because of this AND the EXCEPTIONAL work they did, we took our car back there when it was involved in an accident several months later. There was a lot of damage, but Gerber took the time that was needed to fix the car right right (a lifetime guarantee!). We received the same great customer service as we did the first time and we are EXTREMELY satisfied with all of the repairs. I had my car taken there after I hit a deer this past winter. The initial service was acceptable. They returned the car in good time and the bodywork is of acceptable condition, however after a few months I have had an issue with my check engine light coming on. I took it back to them and they spent less than five minutes looking at it and told me it was fine. The check engine light came on again and I took it to the ford dealership who proceeded to tell me that not only was the code was able to be pulled up to 100 key turns after it goes off, but that there were multiple other issues that were done incorrectly. I am thoroughly disappointed in the long term quality of the service. read more
