***Beware*** Horrible experience! just picked up my vehicle and discovered great scratches to my vehicle. front desk and tech denied causing any damage initially! this is a new vehicle! Finally after I explained how upset I was and the fact that the vehicle did not come in with this damage, he said we will have a manager in to it. ZERO accountability whatsoever! I asked what documentation I need to fill out? Employee said, nothing. I am very concerned about the service and level of care this business has towards customers vehicles. In addition, the vehicle is an EV, I brought vehicle in at 86% charge. When I picked up the vehicle, it shows 75% battery level. Where did the tech drive my vehicle to drain 11% percent? Dangerous improper or lack of eyesight calibration. I had my Subaru vehicle windshield replaced here. It was supposed to include recalibration of eyesight system. However, I suspect they never recalibrated eyesight. Here's why. The lane departure warning light came on and I had to search the manual to find out how to address the warning. So I enabled lane departure function. Warning light went away. However when driving, I notice very scary movement of the car which I believe is eyesight making correction to avoid departing lane. It is very unsafe and left me concerned that Safelight ruined my car. I disabled the auto correction feature to address. My suggestion is to just replace windshield at safelight and have the Subaru dealer do the calibration. I'm surprised that CSAA wouldn't already be recommending this be done for safety reasons. read more

I came here to get a BB-gun bullet hole repair on my windshield. (Don't you wish you knew me personally so you could get the tea?) Basically, my insurance recommended this, which seemed better than going to Tesla for a $1,500 windshield replacement. I was able to set up an appointment online. My insurance sent me a link to the appointment portal. I came onsite to Safelite. They opted to fill in the windshield hole, and the repair was flush to the existing windshield. All this was done in the span of 30-45 minutes. I think the actual repair time was 20 minutes. After the repair, the technician took me out to my car to show me the job and get my approval. And, while I waited, there was a reception waiting area inside. (I don't recall plush seats, snacks or drinks, so you're really just getting convenience and weather control.) Since the wait period was under an hour, I sucked it up and wasn't excessively wishing for free internet. All-in-all, it was convenient, low priced, and got the job done. read more

Our windshield was not installed correctly. There was this piece that was broken, did not replace the part and used glue to put it back together. How did I know? I had to do another windshield replacement on the same car& since Safelite autoglass was closed on weekends, I went with another shop and told me that the windshield on my car was not installed correctly! Dropped off car at 745 as they said they had me drop off... they don't. And they don't open until 8. They didn't communicate with us all day. I called trying to get status updates but the location didn't answer. They said they would call when ready. They never did so I showed up at closing time anyway and it still wasn't ready. Kevin was the advisor that checked me in. Dropped my car off at 9:30- and got it before 3pm. Fast and courteous. Only issue I had was a small scratch on the glass but my car always has dirt due to me going to my property in Redding or the birds that reside in a tree in front of my home. I got an appt via AAA insurance for Safelite to come fix a small crack on my windshield. From calling in to get an appointment till my appt time was about a little over a week. The customer service rep who took my call couldn't help me make an appointment at first due to the Microsoft global outage but they did call me back as promised to schedule an appointment. The technician, Willie came to the appointment on time and fixed within 20min. After the repair, the crack is almost invisible to me. He was very professional. I am very happy with the result. My insurance covered as well. read more

UPDATE: Thank you for responding to my review and offering a refund. However, a simple refund for the repair fee does not address the real issue. When I came to Safelite, I had a small chip about the size of a nickel. After your repair, that chip turned into a 1.5-inch crack, which now requires a full windshield replacement. If the repair had been done correctly, my windshield would likely still be intact. To make matters worse, my insurance covers 100% of a repair but only 50% of a replacement, meaning I now have to pay out of pocket due to Safelite's poor workmanship. I consulted another auto glass shop, showed them photos of the original chip, and they confirmed that it was repairable without causing further damage. This makes me seriously question the skill level of your technician. A refund for the repair fee does not resolve the financial burden your service has caused me. I believe Safelite should take full responsibility and cover the cost of my windshield replacement. I would appreciate a response on how you plan to make this right. Really bad experience. After they repaired my windshield chip, there was a huge crack. Now I had to replace the whole windshield. And they won't cover any additional charges. They made it *extremely* difficult to schedule service. I tried via the online portal and it only gave me one day and time option, which didn't work for me. So I tried the chat feature, and that person was useless in helping me either. She did give me an 888 number to call, so I did that, and the person there was only able to put a note on my account regarding the scheduling. So then someone from Safelite texted me, but just as we were setting the date and time, that person quit responding. I *was* finally able to get service at a date and time that worked for me, but it shouldn't be that difficult. If you're going to offer "mobile service" then have real options for that. The only reason I'm giving four stars is because Jonathan was great and worked with me on scheduling. Also, my husband has had good experiences with the Dublin location in the past. And I do like how easy it is to input the insurance and have Safelite manage that aspect. read more

A rock hit my windshield and made a sizeable chip in my windshield. When I contacted my insurance company, they put me in touch with Safelite. A technician came to my house the next day to see if it could be repaired. Our original appointment was from 2 - 5. The tech texted me to tell me he had a cancellation and was I available earlier. I was. The tech kept me informed by text of his arrival time, which was appreciated. While the chip could be repaired, he told me it would show and the repair equipment could make the chip spread, so we decided to replace the windshield. When I contacted the Dublin office, they offered me to drop the car off in the morning and it would be repaired by 5 pm. It was actually repaired by 11. The communication from all of the Safelite employees we dealt with was exceptional and timely. Everyone was professional and polite. My windshield looks perfect and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Safelite in Dublin! read more

Made an appointment a week before, had weekend appointments available which is nice. Email and text reminders prior to the appointment was helpful. Dropped off my car at 2 and was able to pick up before they closed. Took a little longer because they needed to calibrate my windshield which was out of their control. Tech Bobby was very informative, very nice, great communication. Let me know they needed more time, let me know when they are done. Receipt sent to my email- very convenient. They let me know here was no cost for my deductible since I filed an instance claim. Front desk person was very quick and nice to get my technician to get my key and return my vehicle. I hate dealing related to my car- they made it such a pleasant experience. Hopefully I don't need to turn but if I need to, I'd return to this location. Safelite in Dublin had plenty of times to choose from to bring my car in making it easy to choose a slot that worked for my schedule. Upon arrival, the two people sitting at the front desk were welcoming and nice. What really stood out to me was the tech working on my car, Jose. He met me before and after my appointment to talk about the windshield, safety features my car has and how the sensors work with the new windshield. He communicated what would happen before, during and after with such great customer service. A plus to all this is that I saved thousands from not going to the dealership, received great service from start to finish and was able to get my car a few short hours after dropping off. On time with my appointment the young man Joesph extremely kind and respectful has a lot of manors. Deanna make sure everything was enter in the system correctly friendly face in the front of office. They originally said that it would be 3 1/2 hours and that turned into 2 hours which was awesome. They have a restroom and coffee. My insurance covered most of it. Made an appointment on-line to get our windshield replaced as it was hit by what appeared to be a golf ball on Hwy 101 while in vacation. Reservation was easy and follow up communications via email was great. Check in was easy appt day with friendly staff. Did everything they suggested before appointment including arriving early and I met the tech Adam 10 minutes later. Reviewed the damage with me and ADAM stated should have car back in about 1.5 to 2 hours. Website said account for 3 hours. Waiting room is large, clean and fairly comfortable. They have coffee, tea, hot chocolate and water for those that need it. Car was ready in about 1.75 hours and Adam gave me care instructions for next couple of days. They are officially 0 for 2 with our cars. Two years ago, they replaced our windshield and severely damaged the dashboard. After MONTHS of back and forth, they stopped accepting our calls and the dash was never replaced. They took no ownership, eventhough their employee SAT on the dashboard and it shattered under his weight. Fast forward to June 2024, our other car needed the windshield replaced. It's pretty slim pickings for companies, so we gave Safelite another chance (bad move). While coming home, we notice our car PARKED ON THE SIDE OF 680. Turns out, the technician left the keys on the hood of the car and they flew off on to the road. The keys are shattered. Will safelite replace our key?? Doubtful. I brought my car here for a windshield replacement under my insurance on 4/30/2024 I dropped off the car in the morning and returned at 4:15PM, before closing. The forward collision detection still required recalibration, which I was told would be done in half an hour. At 5:30PM, I was told that they couldn't get it to recalibrate and that I would get a call the next day from the manager to discuss a follow-up appointment or having a different windshield installed instead if that was the cause, since they used some no name replacement. I received no phone calls and instead I just received a calibration certificate time-stamped hours after I picked up the car. In fact they made me sign a waiver that I was notified that the system wasn't calibrated. I'm pretty sure that the State DOT and Federal DOT would be pretty interested in this kind of behavior. I had a wonderful experience with Olivia! I had a later standing appointment, but due to some cancelations, she had an opening to fit me in earlier. When I arrived, she had the glass ready to show me and told me what to expect. She explained how long the turnover will take (replacing and calibrating the windshield) and answered all my questions. I felt comfortable immediately! She was very accommodating - as I still was working, she walked me to the front, showed me the how to connect to the wifi, and to help myself to coffee. They ordered new windshield and we took car in for appointment. 2 hours later they said new windshield was defective so we picked up car. they ordered another and it came in much later, also defective. They they said a new order would be arrive in over a week and they would schedule a time when it came in, but they are backed up with business and could not set a date for replacement install. Car is dangerous to drive as crack is growing across field of vision. It is nearly impossible to talk to a human and all calls go to a national call center, if you can even get through, and there is no way to talk to anyone at the local shop. It was hard to cancel order via national phone number. They had taken our credit card for the deductible and we envision having a problem with getting a refund of the deductible. I called Safelite AutoGlass in Dublin California yesterday morning to get a quote for replacing the windshield on my 2000 BMW Z3 roadster. I was given a quote of $504 to replace the windshield. This morning, about an hour before the scheduled appointment window I received a call from Safelite AutoGlass telling me, that there was going to be an additional charge of $400 because they didn't include the cost of replacing the molding required to do the windshield replacement. Replacing car windows is what they do how so can they make a mistake like that on a quote? I'll try to find another car window replacement company that is competen. read more

Do yourself a favor and call just about anyone else. I needed my driver side window replaced and called them as they were approved by my insurance company. They canceled my appt the night before saying that the glass didn't come in. They they princesses to tell me different stories... that it didn't come in and that it actually did but that it was damaged. I was told that the glass wasn't in the US (anywhere) and it would be several more weeks. Then days later, to my surprise, they rescheduled for today. I even received a reminder email on Friday. Today when I arrived, they said that my insurance company canceled my appointment Friday?! I asked for a confirmation or referral number and they didn't have any. Worst part is that they said that they no longer had the glass and that they would have to try to relocate it. They never called or emailed to inquire or inform me that my appt was canceled. And when I called my insurance company, they said that there's no way for them to possibly cancel the appointment in their system. They are a bunch of liars! They cannot replace a windshield if you have after market tires and they do not disclose this information until they have been prepaid by the insurance company (which closes your claim) and you prepay your deductible, make you drop off the car at their site before they open and then they refuse to do the work they have already been paid for out of "safety concerns". DO NOT USE THEM! Low Price Auto Glass and Tint took me in right away, no issues with the after market tires and calibrations and are willing to work with the insurance company. My technician Rasaki did a phenomenal job replacing my windshield and was able to do it before the targeted 2 hour window I was told it would take! recommended by my insurance company. had to wait a week to get an appointment. They said it would take 2 to 3 hours to replace the windshield. I arrived about a half hour early and I was told that they would start in about 15 minutes. I waited in the waiting room for 1 and a half hours and was told that they would start on it next. I asked why are you starting on it now. They said the car before took longer than expected. I asked them whats the sense of making an appointment and couldn't someone else have started on it because they had other employees working there. That's no way to run a business . I spent two hours waiting for the worst service. I called another glass company and they said they could do it a couple of hours. I took my car and got it fixed some where else. read more

I wasted two hours and gas. My insurance company recommended this shop. I was told to report at 2:30 P.M. for a 3:00 P.M. appointment. When I checked in at 2:15 P.M., the receptionist told me that it would be done around 5 P.M. Later I found out that the cars were back up. A little notice would have been nice. I waited at the shop, and at 4 (an hour later than my appointment), my car went in for a service. After about 20 minutes, the technician came out and told me that there were chips on my NEW windshield and asked me if I wanted to install it. I told him why would I pay and install a defective windshield. He then told me this happens often. If this happens often, why did you not check it when received?
