The only reason we went with safe light was so we can get it done during a work day and in the end, we had to leave work in order to go to to the shop. One week later I have a notice from a collection agency. I will never let this company touch one of my cars again. I ended up dropping my car off early, and they ended up taking it earlier, so I was out of there in a good amount of time. It took about an hour for it to be replaced, and re-calibrated. I took on a rock while driving the other day. It put a big crack across my windscreen. After calling my insurance company to find out the procedure for scheduling the needed repair/replacement (and what my deductible was), I had an appointment with Safelite to have it replaced Saturday at my home. Technician (William) was prompt, courteous, professional & pretty darn good on how to replace the old windscreen. The whole process took a little over two (2) hours, only because my Mini Coper was being fussy over having the windscreen removed. Once it was removed, William said it would take about 20 minutes to complete & it did... Everything looks great and looks almost like a new car. This is the second time in my driving life that I had to replace a windscreen. (1st time was about 20 years ago or so, also with Safelite.). I contacted R & I because they said they guaranteed a lower price and are minutes away from my residence, which is more convenient for me. I rarely leave poor reviews but after today I have no choice. I scheduled an appointment through my insurance for 7:30 am. This was a scheduled appointment NOT a "drop and go". After 2 1/2 hours I assumed my car would be finished. called the customer service line only to he informed that my car was considered a "drop and go" and would be finished by 5pm. Evidently any appointment before 8am is a glitch in their system.... No, I was not informed by the front desk that this was what my "appointment" was considered nor did my appointment state that it was a "drop and go". If I would have been told that this was the kind of appointment I was having I would have been okay with it. Communication is key. Let your customers know their appointment status is changed to "drop and go" before assuming. read more

So how we all know how bad i95 is when it comes to flying objects coming out of the construction vehicles, few weeks ago had a flying stone flew out of a truck and hit my window, so decided to call my insurance company, they connected me over to Safelite, The guy on the phone from Safelite ask me how bad the window was, I told him it has a chip that is smaller then a DIME, he tells me it can be fix in 20 min, and will look like new. So I had appointment the same day, went up walked in to Safelite, told the guy what I was there for. He looked at it and told me something different then what I was told on the phone. I was told it can be fixed, but it will not look perfect, he will do the best he can. The only way it will look like new is if I got a new window. So after 40 min, the work was done. It looked a little better, the cobwebs are out, the chip is still there. not what I was told on the phone. Then the person there said was going to email me my receipt, never got it. Could have Atleast print that out for me and hand it to me. That's why I'm only giving 4 stars. read more

My windshield was cracked from a rock flying into my windshield on the highway. A tech came to my driveway to install the new window. Pleasant, quick service. The new windshield unfortunately cracked out in the installation, which was a bummer but out of my techs control. He scheduled another appointment right there and then for it to be replaced at the service center. My second appointment only took 45 minutes for installation and the tech was friendly and super thorough with my wants/needs. (He even helped install my dashcam wires into the windshield liner). Windshield on Land Rover is not cheap or easy thing to replace due to the embedded heater and sensors behind it. Satellite did great job. The second time they proceeded to bring out the same wrong windshield with no knowledge that they had already fucked up once before. After this time no one called me or let me know what was going on, they proceeded to just book another appointment without asking me or confirming with me that I'd be available. Three days off of work because of their inadequate management, terrible nonexistent customer service, & lack of any sort of communication. I was compelled to leave this review in response to a simple phone call answered by a female rep on the 28th of May 2019 at approximately 11:43, The time is merely provided to hopefully give the owner/manager the ability to identify the individual that lost my business forever. I have a fleet serviced by Safelite and always had a good experience. Today I dropped off a personal vehicle that had a big rock chip in the windshield. I was trying to set up a ride to pick the car up and when I inquired a ballpark time I was told "the car is worked on between other cars" and no estimate could be given. My reply was "seriously"? She then said "it's an all day appointment". It would have taken no effort for her to be polite or at least give me a rough idea.
