If I could rate 0 stars I would. They came to do my windshield because that is who my insurance requires for covered glass work. The technician who completed my windshield installed my windshield wipers wrong and now it's impossible to drive when it snows or rains due to the 16 inches it doesn't cover on the drivers side. Contacting the repair shop is nearly impossible and when scheduling with safelite the soonest they have to fix their mistake is 14 days later. They want you to wait 14 days for poor work causing a safety issue with your vehicle? I've just switched insurance companies to ensure I never have to deal with safelite again. Anyone forced to use safelite, may the odds be ever in your favor. If you choose safelite, you deserve what you get. read more

My insurance didn't cover this, but that's not on Safelite. I dragged my feet on getting it fixed and should've earlier. The new windshield is great and was worth the cost for me! Had an appointment set up, put in that I did not have a covered space. I paid the full amount. The forecast predicted lite snow. Safelite called me and demanded a covered space. I agreed to figure it out. I cleaned out my storage area/ lean to and got that driveway cleaned out. Service tech called trying to convince me to go into the shop, even though I paid extra to have them come out first thing in the morning. Told them I had everything in place. I took measurements to ensure clearances were enough( 6ft on all sides and 8ft above window. They then outright refused to come out because now they needed a full barn or garage not a covered space anymore. Called to talk to a manager who was unavailable. Safelite now has my money and I don't have a fixed window. I spent my whole Saturday morning working to make sure they could be set up for success and I won't get that time back. Called around and got a better deal for middle of next week for $80 less then Safelite. read more

I set up an appointment with Safelite on a Sunday through their website after I noticed a 6 inch crack on my windshield. Estimate was $120. Brought my car in on Monday and they attempted a repair but the Tech (Chip) warned me that due to the size, it would probably spread. As warned, the crack ended up spreading out, but they credited my repair fee towards the replacement fee, so it was only an added $200 on top of the $120, which is a typical cost in my experience. Went back into the shop on Wednesday. Tech (Nathan) had mentioned that because my Honda Fit has custom molding, Safelite's would look different but should still be nice. Nobody is excited about having to get their windshield replaced, but if you have to have it done, this place is great. They came out to repair the crack but weren't able to do so because of the location of the crack, so they rescheduled for the following week to do a full replacement. A week later they came to replace it but couldn't fit in the parking ramp (it was raining and needed to be done in a covered location ). They got me in that Saturday for me to come by the physical location and get it replaced. The manager Toccara was friendly and informative. She gave me an estimated time (1.5 hours) and everything was done and ready by the time I got back. Great customer service and that made the process easy! Definitely had a good experience! read more

The windshield had a small nick due to a pebble kicked up by the car in front. It was less than the size of a dime so my insurance company said to take it to Safelite for repair at no cost to me. Scheduling was easy. A few weeks after the repair I drove my wife's car only to see that the fix was not a fix! Light was refracting through the so called fix right at my eye level. The manager acknowledged that it was a very poor repair job but said nothing could be done about it. He said they may be able to give a credit of $100 towards a new windshield which would cost over $1000. read more

Wow what a nice experience at this Safelite location . I was greeted with a warm welcome from Michael. He is clearly driven and committed to providing excellent customer service. It never fails if there is a rock on the highway it's going to find my windshield. After our trip out west I had 3 chips to repair on my windshield. I got in the same day I called. It only took 45 minutes to repair. I was charged for just 2, the 3rd chip was tiny. They filled it without charge. Before they returned the car to me, they cleaned all the windows and vacuumed the car. The young man that helped Michael was also very nice. Got everything scheduled, they called me the day before and tried to charged me an extra $30 for the "wrong VIN number." I went somewhere else where they didn't even need my VIN number and got it all fixed up for over HALF the price. saved $215 by not using them, according to the guy who worked on my windshield they wouldn't have even fixed it in the first place due to a rust hole I had. read more

You can tell a lot about a place just from walking through the front door. The lobby was neat and clean, and the magazines for waiting customers were neatly spread out and the newspapers stacked. It was quiet, and there was no television blaring (though you could turn it on if you really wanted to) It's little things like this that shows someone there really cares. Anywho, the guy behind the counter mentions that there's pop, snacks and coffee around the side. I take a seat and start flipping through one of the carefully placed magazines. I decide to check out the vending machine, or maybe grab a cup of burnt coffee or what not. Except there's no vending machine or burnt coffee- There's a Keurig machine with a good selection of K-cups to choose from, a basket full of free prepackaged chips, and a mini fridge stuffed with free cans of pop!!! It was like I hit a gold mine! I grab a bag of chips and make a good cup of hot coffee and settle back in. Before I know it, my car's ready and the guy's talking to me about my interest in mushroom hunting while getting my paperwork together. My windshield looks great; they even vacuumed my car out and gave me a free Febreze car freshener. I mean, okay, I get that I'm geeking out about my waiting experience here, but I never knew that waiting around for a car repair could be such a relaxing and easy experience. This place embodies a great customer service! Came here in the winter time to replace my windshield (paid the deductible) with no issue. Recently, I had to come back here to repair a chip on my windshield (gotta 'love' Michigan's crappy roads and highways). My insurance wont cover the repair cost!!! It was a struggle just to get an answer from my insurance broker whether or not it would be covered. At the end, I had to pay for the cost myself. I told Safelite crew what happened and they gave me 50% discount! They were professional, understanding and sympathetic. When Mr. MVP was driving on I94 the windshield of the VW really took a beating from rocks and debris. We procrastinated and two small chips suddenly started to crack into larger problems when Michigan's weather heated up. We called Safelite and were told that if the cracks were larger than six inches we would need to replace the whole windshield. We got two quotes - cash and insurance and decided to file an insurance claim. The whole process was super easy. We had a couple issues with the scheduler not understanding what year and model car we have, so the wrong windshield was ordered, but that only set us back by 24 hours. We had procrastinated about this windshield for a good seven months so a day was not going to matter one way or another. Safelite made the appointment and appeared at Mr. MVP's work on time, which is very important. They replaced the windshield very quickly and our VW now looks brand new. I have no idea why we dragged our feet for so long. The whole process was really pain free. With insurance the new windshield was just $100. If we ever have any problems in the future we will positively call Safelite. read more

George Ruiz is the best! Didn't know that I apparently ordered the wrong windshield until their tech tried to put it in and was the wrong one. George called me and explained and I told him we had to leave out very early in the morning and didn't know what we were going to do. He explained that after calling all around he found one in Grand Rapids and it wouldn't get there until around 8. He said he would go home and then come back to receive my windshield and install it for us. This was on our semi truck and raining out. Talk about your customer service. The technician, Justin, was very efficient and knowledgeable! Justin called me in the morning, confirming his time of arrival (home appointment) and also called 30 minutes before my appointment. I had three different chips in my window - he was able to fill them within 30 minutes and replace my windshield wiper blades. He even explained to me the different types of chips, how he is able to fill them, and risk factors involved if he is unable to fill them all the way. Justin was able to fill each of them so i can hardly see their existence. Would definitely recommend to anyone needing windshield repair or a new windshield! read more

I under stood the first time computer error the second waited 30mins to find out my insurance somehow sent the worng info that #progressive fault which I'm looking for new company now, but still upset that I waited that long to find out. But they didnt even call me the day of the third time to let me know it wasnt in yet I did! They said they'd call me when it came in so Friday Saturday Sunday pass still no call.
