Had an appointment window from 8-12. Technician never showed up. Finally reached out to customer service and even the woman on the phone couldn't get ahold of the store. Eventually she called the manager and they informed her it should have been rescheduled...no one reached out to me or indicated in any way they wouldn't be able to make the appointment. Should have known this would happen after the 2 hour headache I spent trying to get the appointment and correct glass for my car anyways. first of all they didn't tell me about rust might be a problem, when the tech came out he pulled my windshield trim back and said oh there is too much rust, I wiped the powdered rust away and said I don't understand what's the problem? he said its policy we can't be liable, I said it's surface rust i will clean the whole thing for you, he said just can't do it.. then he couldn't get the trim back in place and just left it wide open and broken.. sooo I had to reglue the whole thing and its caused me way more work than it should have.. never again safelight read more

Replacement of driver's side back door window: Trying to set this appointment online is a joke. The first time, it asked me to go to may Cash app. When I came back, it told me I'd been logged out because of 30 SECONDS of inactivity. So I called CS and talked to "Precious", who assured me that it was all set, including the payment plan. The tech, Richard, showed up this morning, asking for the payment. I explained what happened, and he said "Try it again. The financing is done through a third party". I DID try it again, and bounced me COMPLETELY out! So I went to the nearest location, where my presence wasn't even acknowledged after I'd waited for 15 minutes because there was no one at the front desk. When "Chris" finally showed, I explained it all to him. He gave me the same excuse. I'll never go to them again, nor recommend anyone to them. read more

Insurance dictated where I went for a windshield replacement, so Safelite it was! I had an appointment scheduled but a few days prior Safelite called and said my windshield had not been delivered, so we rescheduled for a week later. No biggie. I'm thankful they didn't wait until the day of to reschedule. The installation took right around 3 hours which was exactly as quoted. I did have to take a star odd Becker during the removal of my rearview mirror part of the attachment was broken and they didn't have a replacement on hand so they had to order a replacement from Acura. It took 10 days for the replacement part to come in. I was pleased they came to my home to reinstall the rear view mirror so I didn't have to drive back to their shop. Overall, I am happy with the service and new windshield. read more

The auto inspection rules have changed. Now any crack longer than 6 inches will cause a failure. I needed it done within the week to be able to get the care re-inspected by the end of the month. The insurance company recommended them, but they were too busy, so I had to schedule for the next week. A little disappointing but good to know that they were good enough to be busy. The web-site allowed me to change dates and times easily. THey kept me well informed via text message. I was able to take my laptop in and use their free wi-fi to work while they were fixing my windshield. Starbucks is not too far to walk to for my morning coffee fix. They fixed and aligned it quicker than they estimated, so all in all, a good experience. read more

I've been trying to make an appointment with this company for some time. You're not allowed to speak on the phone with anyone and all appointments must be made online. I chatted with a rep who informed me my city was serviced by their mobile service. Found out that was incorrect. Tried to make an appt to go to their shop. No luck. For fun I went all the way to Sept and there wasn't an appt available at the two closest shops to me. My daughter's car was vandalized and she has no rear glass and no passenger or driver windows, both front or back. I'll keep looking for a reputable company to make the repairs. read more

Well... guess what? The repair didn't hold. First ever experience that happened. I finally am able to schedule a replacement WEEKS in advance at my nearest Safelite 90 mi away. Sit for 4 hours hearing everyone's horror stories as they come in and complain about all the problems THEY had with installation. When I'm finally done, the tech tells me he put a glass in WITH A LONG SCRATCH. I'll have to come back again to have it replaced. Again... WEEKS. In the meantime, good luck trying to call THAT shop again. Safelite DIES NOT ALLOW you to do that. You call an 800 # and get the run around. I finally sit through the installation experience again- while people come in constantly and complain about their poor service. When one customer who had problems politely asked the girl at the desk her name - she said, "I don't have a name." NEVER - EVER - UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE DEAL WITH SAFELITE!!!! read more

I got a Saturday appointment, which I was happy about. However, when I arrived, I was informed that the replacement of my windshield would take two hours. I want informed of that when I made my appointment, so I wasn't prepared with a ride. So, I had to sit in the waiting room for a bit over 2 hours on a Saturday, which sucked. The receptionist was not very personable, so I was stuck watching PBR Kids, because the other guy in the waiting room was offended by SVU. So tedious. Didnt even try to fix the chips in my windshield. Tried to tell me it had already been worked on, when it had only happened last friday afternoon. They put something called pit-fill in it, which did nothing to hide it, nor from what I can tell to actually repair it, only to make it smooth. I'm hoping that that stuff won't prevent it from being able to be worked on by someone else. And from what I can tell, didn't even do that to the smaller one above it. read more

The molding around my 2004 Ford Ranger windshield had come visibly loose, and I was hoping to replace that and not the entire windshield. Nope, that windshield comes with the molding attached, so I figured I'd be paying for a new one. BUT before going that route, the Tech - I believe his name is Brandon- took the time to clean up the molding and re-attach it, instead of just pulling it out and replacing. While he indicated this doesn't always work, the fact that they offered this solution, without my prompting... is exactly what I'd hope for from a business that's looking to build a relationship and not just a profit margin. Had a 1/4 diameter chip and had attempted to make an online appointment. The price was kind of high, so did not do it. I went in person and that was a totally different experience. Front desk cut the cost by 50% and gave me an appointment for next morning. Arrived to appointment next am and the service was friendly and I saw the tech working from the window. I was able to appreciate his dedication and attention to detail. He had all his tools perfectly organized. While he waited for the reagents to polymerize, he even vacuum the mats of my SUV! Got it fixed in less than 45 min. He took the time to explain the warranty before I left. Very pleased with their service. read more
