Amanuel has the title of "Master Technician" for a reason! My windshield was cracked when a semi hit a rock on the road and it hit my windshield. They go me in right away and despite a delay on my appointment was still way sooner than the competition and far more convenient. He was super friendly and got it done way sooner than we expected. My appointment was 10am-2pm (not a normal appointment time but they squeezed me in due to my windshield being delayed but weather happens) and he finished at 10:50, quick and easy! He was cracking jokes and gave me his card in case anything happens too. Super nice guy and I will be coming back but hopefully not for a while! read more

Updated to my post on Nov 11, 2025: Got an email from Customer care to call in. All they wanted to do was setup another appointment which I already stated that fixed in my original email to them. However, I told the CSR that my Lane Tracing Assist is not functioning correctly after they did their calibration. I plan to take it to LEXUS and have them fix but give the bill to Safelite. The CSR said she can just reschedule otherwise taking it to Lexus would void the their warranty and they would need to look at it. I told her why would take it back to the company that messed it up in the first place. Paid $850 for a windshield replacement and calibration. I have to fix the noise and now the calibration myself. Stay away and go else where is my advice. read more

You see the ads on TV/PC, don't waste your time. No attention to details. Took my car in on Sat at 9:30AM and got it back at 5PM. I noticed a whistling noise on the HWY. Called them back on Mon and it was a 9 days out until someone can look at it. I wasn't going to wait 9 days as I driver everyday. So I found the issue and fixed it myself. When they reinstalled the trim around the windshield they never snap it into the clips. Only some of the trim was actually snapped in. This was on BOTH side of the windshield! How does someone do this for a living and can't snap in a trim? Never again. read more

They replaced my windshield at their shop. Two days later when I had a passenger for the first time, she noticed a large distorted area in her field of vision. The installer should have easily seen this during installation. Their automated phone system is terrible if you try to talk to a human and it hung up on me when I tried to use the automated option. I scheduled a windshield replacement for my work van, but the appointment was first canceled half an hour before the scheduled time due to weather. I was then asked to reschedule, only for that appointment to be canceled again due to weather half an hour prior. Afterward, I was instructed to bring the vehicle to the shop on a Saturday. Upon arrival, I waited an hour for them to remove the old windshield, only to be told they couldn't install the new one or reinstall the old due to rust mitigation work that had been done around the windshield in the past. This is a 20-year-old vehicle with 250,000 miles of Minnesota driving, and it seems no one considered checking beforehand if any prior work had been performed. To make matters worse, I was handed my work vehicle back without a windshield, left in the middle of January in Minnesota, and no information was provided on a towing service or a shop that could assist. I was only told it was "always a bummer when this happens", I'm not the first, probably not the last. This entire experience has been incredibly frustrating and inconvenient, and I am left with an unusable vehicle essential for my business in harsh winter conditions without any clear next steps. read more

Customer service was fine, the whole experience itself was rather annoying. Lobby has no air conditioning, no sound or white noise, and listened to the receptionist smack her gum for 90 minutes. Also, ceiling tiles were mold infested. Place needs an upgrade to even be on-par with a business that provides an average environment. read more

I was driving behind a truck on 394 and sure enough, rock + windshield = trip to Safelite. I arranged to go to my appointment at their shop vs having them come to my location. I drove up and will say my only issue was that they really need a sign telling you where to park if you are there for an appointment. It's super unclear about whether you are supposed to park in front of the door to the lobby or around the back by the garage. I drove around back and the guys working there instructed me to park anywhere. I parked in an available spot and then had to walk in the building to go into the lobby. Not a huge deal but could be solved with a clear sign. At any rate, my appointment took less than an hour, and when the gentleman came out to get me, I said, "That was quick!" and he said, "Oh, I thought we could've been a little quicker!" He did a good job of explaining everything to me, gave me literature to take home and answered my questions. A+ service. And the lady at the front desk was awe-inspiring. She must have been juggling 20 different things and did it all really masterfully. If we ever have another need, I'd definitely come back. read more

I called in and was told that I can just go to any Safelite location and ask someone/anyone there to see if they can help. Worst service. High quotes. Go elsewhere. Technicians "first time repairing tempered side window," is NOT what a customer wants to hear. It's bad when the service tech. has to call two other installers and the office to figure out how to do install. Probably better off watching YouTube video. Tech schmech my 10 year old neice could have done a better job and would have complained less. I helped 'cus I didn't want my vehicle completely ruined. Never the less, paint was still scratched from lack of experience. I'm not a window installer. Who knows if it is installed properly, waiting for it to crumble like a sugar cookie. We used Safelite for our Daughter's vehicle. The car was broken into and the driver's side rear window had to be replaced. We had Kent as our Safelite Technician. This guy is amazing! He offers the old fashioned kind of customer service that you used to get back in the "Good ole Days!" He is very professional, extremely friendly and a strong communicator. This was not an easy job and Kent had to travel through a significant snow storm to get here. He was here on time and completed the job with precision. While getting my windshield replaced, the tech dropped my review mirror causing the mirror's electronics inside to rattle. Through this process I had been understanding and willing to work with the location which I had the issues... until they used scotch tape to fix what they broke in a 70,000$ vehicle. Safelight damaged my mirror while replacing the windshield and not only made the damage worse, but offended me when they used scotch tape to "resolve" the issue. To summarize: there are multiple pry marks around the mirror, the buttons are all loose, the buttons have been scotch taped to the mirror, and the electronic part of the mirror is no longer working. Pictures speak more, If I could post a pic of the Scotch Tape holding down all my buttons and the mirror together its almost laughable how offensive this was. DONT USE THEM GO ELSEWHERE. read more

In the space of two months, my husband needed his windshield replaced (insurance) and I needed my windshield repaired (out of pocket). Based on my husband's great experience, I went there too. I can't recommend it highly enough. From the ease of making an online appointment, to the friendly receptionist and the friendly and professional technician, we were both really impressed. My technician was clear that there was a small chance during my repair, the windshield could crack and need to be replaced. That didn't happen and the repair was perfect. The waiting room had lots of magazines and a TV. My repair was done in less than half an hour and I was prepared to be there at least an hour. The prices were fair and again, I wouldn't have needed to feel more than fine about getting my windshield repaired, but my experience was super positive and they deserve a great review. read more

The service was EXCELLENT Fast, thorough, kind. Our driver window had been smashed out by thieves; there was glass everywhere! I felt Safelite people went the mile by vacuuming up the whole car in an effort to get the glass cleaned up. I would use this location again. First off, I'd like to thank the customer service department of this location, for being so very accommodating and professional. The three people that I spoke to on the phone during that time to reschedule my appointment did a great job. The technician on the other hand was lacking a bit, but he did do his job and installed my window. I just was missing a rear view mirror and there was scraps in the back of my car. Though that got taken cared of within an hour after informing Safelite. So far the the Windshield that was installed has held up quite well the past few days. I don't recommend this location though, because of the tech that attend to my vehicle. I do recommend the Minneapolis location. The tech there on the other hand was honest, informed and professional. He let me know why and how my windshield was damaged and explained about rust damage and repair, the adhesives Safelite uses to adhere the windows to the vehicle, and the danger of just installing the widow without taking care of the rust around the frame of the Windshield.
