The only easy part was scheduling. In the repair process they broke 3 new pieces of glass and took over three different visits and 3 different days to finally get it done. They left us without a usable vehicle one night, no glass in the windshield. Between having the wrong seals and breaking the new glass multiple times, it was not even close to a good a experience. The technician who came to my house this morning to replace the windshield on my Jeep. Wrangler was named Siji. He was prompt, very knowledgeable, helpful, and he accommodated some unusual needs regarding the placement of my vehicle. Siji was in some tight and possibly uncomfortable spaces, with no complaints. Once the job was completed, siji explained all of the post installation instructions Siji was the only interaction I had with any employees or Personnel from Safelite. however the online scheduling was simple. I highly recommend Safelite for any auto repairs and they repair more than just windshield FYI. read more

I had a family member schedule an appointment. i spent 30 minutes trying to reschedule or talk to a rep without any success. good luck trying to get it rescheduled they have a that automated voice helper that has turbo autism; so far on the spectrum that it will not help you with anything. Frauds!!! Don't advertise " warranty " " life long warranty " bs. I wish I never replaced the original glass windshield to begin with! Punctured damaged that happened within 30 days of replacement and agent told me will not be covered under warranty. Avoid safelight at all costs, they will replace your glass with a shitty one and will not even honor their 30 day policy. They claim warranty is only covered if it is a manufacturer issue. Obviously if you are sending out defected glass or have a tech not installing correctly they shouldn't be there in the first place! Warranty is a joke Next time I will go elsewhere read more

I was in yesterday, 1-22-2022 at 9am. I had a full window replacement and calibration. Where they pulled the seal off, is all detached and not on properly. My car is one year old and this is the first time it's been in the shop for a repair. I tried to call and leave a message however they do not have a messaging system. I will be calling them if not showing up right when they open tomorrow morning, Monday. This is inexcusable. It's my brand new car and I'm not gonna have leaks or damage because they were in a rush and had too many cars to fix. That's not fair. I will raise it to a five star if they complete the service by attaching the sealings properly. Update: 1/27/2022 - I have to go to Honda, have the bucket remove, go to Safelite once the sealings have arrived because yes, they broke them on reinstallation of a new windshield... after getting the sealings replaced, I have to go back to Honda and have them put the bucket back on. What a waste of time. I better not have to pay for any of this because this was not my doing. This is my brand new car :( Update: 2/3/2022 I just got off the phone with Honda who told me to remove the bucket it would be between $80 and $150 and then to replace it would be the same amount. This is absolutely not acceptable. This is such a waste of my time for some thing that should've been done right the first time. I should not have to pay those fees for Safelite having poor integrity. This is actually really stressful because the windshield makes a rattling noise on the left(drivers side). That is scary.. The fact Safelite-Tempe allowed me to drive off the lot with 8 moldings they broke and thought that was okay, is baffling.. on top of it being a safety hazard for me and of the long term effects on my car. I shouldn't have to pay for the bucket to be removed and replaced because I am sure this is not the first car they have had in their shop with a bucket. 2021 F150. Damaged Front Camera wiring which has triggered the Front Camera Fault Service required (impa module). safelite has attempted to fix the issue by replacing the glass 3xs and recalibrating has been unsuccessful. safelite had me take it to the Ford Dealership and safelite is now saying this is something that they would have not caused and requested proof. The dealer provided the timeline of when the Front camera Service alert was triggered and it shows the exact date and time when the my truck was worked on by Safelite and they still choose to ignore the report provide by the dealership. My truck is currently held by the dealership until invoice is paid. currently in the process of seeking legal actions against Safelite. public be extra caution with your newer vehicles with windshield technology, do not trust Safelite with your vehicle, take it to the dealer instead to ensure OEM quailty service. read more

Called my insurance company to have a broken passenger door window replaced. I selected and booked the work through Reliable Auto Glass (Safelite was actually one of the suggested companies from my insurance as well). The next week after the needed parts came in Safelite contacted me to schedule the repair stating that they had acquired Reliable Auto Glass (Uh-oh...). I was not thrilled with the development as I had heard not great things about them from friends and family. Now I regret not canceling the service and finding another company. After them telling me I had to drive my car to them with a broken window for the repair I pushed back and stated that when I booked the job initially it was agreed that the work could be completed at my residence. They agreed to have someone come out on the same day that they wanted me to come to them. Funny how that worked.... Fast forward to when the work was "completed". I went out to inspect and the first thing I noticed was little bits of glass on the ground in my driveway. Then I opened and closed the door which now was doing an impression of a supercharged maraca. I wouldn't have been surprised to hear a few bits to remain in the door but this was ridiculous! I made no bones about how the situation was unacceptable and the guy kept making one excuse after another. Instead of waiting for the glass to gradually work itself out as the installer suggested I was able to intentionally work out a ton of the glass myself (yes, I had to do it myself as the installer mostly watched and then stormed off in a fit when I wouldn't excuse his half-ass job). Attached is a picture of all the glass I was able to work out which as far as I can tell is 95-99% of what was left in there. And believe me, the picture doesn't do it justice, it's much more than it looks. These guys are awful. I didn't want to use them in the first place and will never again! They give you a 4 hour window, show up 20 minutes late. the tech told me he was scheduled between 10;30 and 11:00. He didn't understand (or care) about my frustration. Safelight should update you with the same schedule as the tech. Oh well. The tech can thank Safelight for that. Just don't put your day on hold waiting around. This review is both positive (installers and quality of product) and negative (customer service and scheduling, and cost). Used them before and in my experience, the work they do is quality work. Techs are professional, glass seems to be of high quality. No issues there. The downside is cost, customer service and scheduling. Twice they have completely botched my appt time costing me time and money. The CS rep gives you an appt time but in their system she's actually typing "all day dropoff". So I show up for my early morn appt and they tell me ok, so you're dropping off... it'll be done later this afternoon. Not cool. I was planning on waiting and being outta there 2 hrs later to head to work. When I explain this was an appt, they of course say, well our system shows all day so we can't complete it right now...we have other people with appts we have to take care of first. WHAT THE ****! So why do I choose Safelite? I don't, my insurance company strongly directs me to Safelite. Agreements are already in-place, faster service, no extra paperwork or out of pocket costs other than my deductible. So not using them will take longer and you may have to pay full price then request reimbursement (he** no). Then there's cost. They are one of the most expensive...by a lot! I got quotes from $350 to $500 from other companies. Safelite cost: $875. Anyhow, that's my 2 cents. Hope it helps someone. read more

This location GLUED MY CAR BACK TOGETHER. The moldings that cover the sides of the windshield. I am currently waiting for PARTS (not a windshield PARTS) so they can fix my car because it's a year later and I need a new windshield. So I have a smart car, the most expensive Prius you can get $42k off the lot with msrp. It's not a regular Prius, it can drive itself and has many sensors. The windshield is $600 alone the calibration is more. It's not cheap to get any smart car windshield replaced. Anyways these are top of the line experts right? They glued my fucking car back together. I waited for multiple hours in safelight for them to even tell me they can't replace my windshield because they glued my car, now it's 7 days later and they still don't have the part! I could have got the part myself. My windshield is all the way cracked, 12 inches per crack, there's 2 cracks and they get bigger every day. Not happy. But insurance sends me here right... now my insurance is going to go up so they can recoup the funds they spend fixing safelight mistakes. read more

My insurance company contracts with Safelite to manage all of their glass repair administration. I called my insurance and they transferred me to Safelite. The rep opened a claim and made an appointment the same day. This was at 11 am. At 11:46 am, I receive an email that says "Sorry to see you go. We've cancelled your appointment." I then tried call their toll free number selecting the option to speak about a current appointment. It then said " We're sorry, we are currently not taking any calls at this time" and then hung up on me. This is at noon on a Friday. I ended up texting them only to be told they do not do same day appointments. Their own employee scheduled it over the phone!! I ended up calling my insurance company back who sent me back to Safelite and I updated my claim to another shop. Arizona State Law allows consumers to select ANY glass repair shop for insurance work. highly recommend that you exercise your right under state law and pick another glass repair shop. Just read the reviews on here and you can tell why. Just because Safelite is "preferred" with your insurance company (Safelite pays for this), doesn't mean you can go anywhere you want. read more

AWFUL SERVICE AND TERRIBLE INSTALLATION- I chose this business because my insurance had it as in-home installation... FALSE!!! A tech comes to your house to say he can't do it at the house, that the vehicle needs to be taken to their shop... TOTAL inconvenience as Safelite was chosen for the in-home installation. They took longer than they said they would and when the car was delivered (had to speak with a manager to get that done as it was a total inconvenience for me) the entire area around the glass had gunk and the glue they use to hold the glass. The install of that glass looked like someone with absolutely NO KNOWLEDGE did it and the fact they dont have anyone supervising the work before returning the car to the owner is incredible. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, they have an agreement with your insurance and they do not do quality work, go with another company that will care! read more

One of the most disappointing experiences I can ever recall in a long life of auto service experiences. While it started out well, it ended terribly. Arranged to have my windshield replaced, (I've used Safelite before!) and a very nice guy came to my work the next day to replace the windshield. After an hour of working I was called back out to the car and he filled me in that the windshield he installed cracked. Ok. So we'll get a new one. It seems you can only have one replaced 1x per week as the adhesive is 'wet'. okay Service guy says call me on the cell phone.. I'll follow up with you, I won't charge your credit card and we'll set up a replacement in a week. So 1 day later my card is charged, I can't reach him on the phone as "not set up for voicemail..." and then go online to report to customer service. 24-48 hour later no word from Safelite customer service (I sent a detailed email with photos).. and I have now since had my credit card company stop payment. Scheesh. Really? I know accidents happen, it's not a perfect world.. but no response, no follow up, no acknowledgment? They should have been calling me the next day. Poor. Will NEVER use Safelite again. So sad, and overall just a big disappointment. It could have been resolved so nicely but no one felt the need to give me the time of day after they fell short of providing service. Tsk, tsk, tsk. Shame on you. Follow up 1 week later 6-19-21: No contact from Safelite. New Auto glass company came out to replace the work they could not complete or didn't have the courtesy to follow up on: Windshield wipers were put in backwards! AND he broke the upper lip and bracket that runs across the top of the windshield. So that will need to be purchased separately from a dealer and installed in addition to the new window. Scheesh. Well, it seemed like it was going well until they said "our calibration "tool" isn't working so you will have to go to the dealer to fix it"... this is after I was assured they can do it, so I didn't have to go to the dealer. Then, next day on the freeway my A pillar plastic cover popped off, but secured enough by one bolt. After checking, a smaller piece of the plastic cover blew off and is gone. Next day at the dealer, it seems the other side pillar plastic is not secured correctly either and lucky that it's still there. There is noticeable damage to my car wrap where they pried off a plastic cover. So - what I was hoping to avoid (having to set an appointment at the dealer and spend a few hours there) has ultimately been unavoidable. Ugg.. read more

I called to have a windshield replaced, I paid cash. The tech came out and replaced window. I luckily came home before he left and found that my dash had been damaged more than it was. I had a small crack in my dash originally and had planned to do a repair from under by taking out the cluster. The damage was a large area that looked to have had something dropped or maybe fell into it. When I pointed it out the tech said that damage was there when he started. I asked him if he had pictures and if he would send them to me. Upon receiving the pictures I could tell he was living to me and was trying to avoid taking blame. I told him that they needed to make good on this so he called the office. They offered me 50 off my window, I told them not to insult me. They then offered a dash cover, I told them I already own one. They then agreed to have it repaired. I found out they planned on putting an after market skin over the top. I explained to them that I did not want this type of repair. I told them that I would pay for half since the dash had a Crack and was not perfect, and that I would get estimates for the repair. I received an email from the locations manager who told me he would pay 300 as that's what his repair guy was going to charge. I got the estimates for the repair and called to speak with the replacing maker of the location who told me 300 is all they would pay and they didn't have to pay that because it had prior damage. The dealer estimates the replacement at 2600. On top of all of this the window they installed cracked before the vehicle was even driven. They did come back out to replace it and found the window had damage on the edge before install. If you own an older truck or care be cautious of any damage they cause as they will try to find any way not to pay for it. Take before pictures before they show up to do repairs. I will leave pictures of before and pictures of the new damage. Now that it has been driven after the damage the dash has a big hole and i will include those pictures as well. read more

Safelite sent out one of their technicians approximately 2 months ago to replace my windshield and side window. I gave them a low rating because of two different factors. The first being that the technician that came out left a black residue on my white car. I've had my car washed several times since and the residue will not come off. I've also scrubbed only to have the same outcome. The second reason I am leaving such a poor rating is because of the quality of the job. I was driving on the 101 two days ago and I didn't have any music playing. I could hear air coming in.
