The windshield repair itself was fine. I had additionally paid about $45 for a rain treatment that, on the day of service the technician advised against because of the weather. I have been trying for over a month to have the $45 for services I did not receive refunded. The principle is every bit as important as the $45. I have emailed and called multiple times through the provided corporate channel. Every assurance that I will be re-contacted by the manager of the Raleigh location is unfulfilled. We're now in early January '26. Service was rendered prior to Thanksgiving '25. I cannot recommend doing business with any outfit that refuses to simply recontact a customer over an ongoing concern given that length of time to address the matter. I came here because I had a couple of chips in my windshield. I wanted to do it in a quicker fashion so I went to them instead of having them come to me. The facility is decent, and they do have a waiting room. The coffee machine was out of water, so I couldn't test it out. They do have bottled water, and some snacks while you wait. Don't recommend. The first windshield didn't work!! Then took literally the entire day to give me a new one. Not to mention there is no way to actually call and talk to anyone! So literally no way to speak to anyone without physically driving there. I would never use again. read more

Chipped/Cracked windshield needed replacing. The first appointment, dropped the car off and they kept it for over 6 hours before they told me they didn't have a windshield and I could come pick the car up. Of course, they had already billed my card. The second appointment, they didn't call me to tell me my car was ready. Which is tricky since they close at 5pm and it gets tricker to get an Uber the closer it gets to 5pm. Picked it up, thinking it was fixed, and drove home. The fact that they left it unlocked in their parking lot should have been a clue. Went to drive somewhere after dark a few hours later and hey, why are headlights set to off instead of auto? Let me turn that on... bong! "Automatic Headlight Failure!" WTF?! Get down the road a little ways with my now non-automatic headlights on.... Tried the cruise control, nope, not working. Big old orange light with an exclamation next to it. Lane keep, nope, totally blind. All that means that the collision avoidance system is offline too. Not sure what they test when they "certify" the system's calibration. But they do charge you an extra $600 to do it. So glad I paid for their required certified calibration that seems to have done nothing but break my car in a more serious and dangerous way than a chipped windshield. Take your business elsewhere. They have the customer service of a phone company in the 1980s. read more

Had service from Safelite for my vehicle that had a cracked windshield. Tech came out and mentioned he may not finish calibrating due to sunlight left in the day, this was 3 weeks ago. When I got in the car after he was finished I found his headlamp and 2 broken plastic clips. I sent in for warranty they sent the same tech out the following Friday. He then tried to cover his mistakes by using epoxy to attach the clips and did further damage to the plastic molding that sits behind the rear view mirror. Now a tech arrives today and shows me the damage the tech did and that he won't be able to fix it because they now need to order parts from the car manufacturer. So I have now sat at home on my time for hours for an appointment window and still do not have a car that is back to normal after the repair because the first tech when he screwed up was not honest. So I tried calling the branch to speak to a supervisor and have called several times only to get a voicemail that says no one is available to take my call and says "goodbye" and hangs up not allowing me to speak with a manager. I am beyond frustrated and this whole process has been awful. read more

Was an event trying to get the money back and even when corporate called the manager and district manager couldn't be bothered to answer their phones or call anyone back. Go elsewhere. I have used Safelite twice so far because it's who my insurance company works with.- The first time they came out to my house to replace my front windshield. The day was on and off rain, but the tech wanted to get the job done no matter. The next day when I drove my car in the rain the windshield leaked like crazy all over my dashboard. So I had to reschedule to have the whole job done all over again. What a waste of my time. Just recently my husband's car needed his front windshield replaced. They sent the same INCOMPETENT tech . This time he messed up the windshield wipers. When you turn the ignition in the wipers try to move. And when you actually turn them on they now extend WAY PAST THE WINDOW.-SO Once again we have to WASTE OUR TIME getting this fixed- BECAUSE Safelite CANNOT GET THE JOB DONE RIGHT TNE FIRST TIME! I can't imagine a worse experience from any company on the first visit (7am first appointment) the car isn't even started or any car for that matter until 8am. It takes three and a half hours. But wait it gets better. Allegedly they test drive the vehicles after service to make sure things are done properly, never done and proof in that is that inside the vehicle it sounds like a wind tunnel. Make a warranty appointment for 9am, the car again doesn't move for nearly an hour. One would think that after completing botching the job a manager/company would make the remedy a priority. WRONG! Not only was the vehicle ignored for 45 past the appointment time(that time would have been greater had I not complained) then the vehicle was merely parked in the bay. 9am appointment vehicle done at around 1:30pm. At around 11:20 they offered to uber me somewhere which was the only conciliation in this horrible experience. Bottom line is You have a choice even though your insurance may work directly with them, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. Sadly many won't see the many reviews like this one and the company will survive on large insurance companies sending them work. read more
