I own a semi truck tractor. It is one of the smaller, lesser-known brands in North America. Road…read morehazards abound and my left windshield took a hit from a bouncing stone, leaving a sizable star shaped crack at the left edge, a little bigger than a ping-pong ball. At first, if you didn't know where to look, you wouldn't know it was there. It took a couple of months, but eventually one of the cracks started creeping out into my field of vision I scheduled an appointment for a replacement windshield. The earliest I could get in was a Saturday. I arrived on Saturday morning and parked in the street. Figuring it wouldn't take long, I opted to spend my down time in the waiting area. It wasn't long before the window tech informed me that they had ordered the wrong glass and I would have to reschedule my appointment. Upon arrival for my 2nd appointment, I left the truck and walked down the street to a Mom -n- Pop restaurant for breakfast. A little while later, I returned and the new windshield was in place. Unfortunately, they didn't have the correct rubber trim to finish the job. At that point, I couldn't wait and needed to put the truck back on the road. They knocked a few bucks off the final bill to compensate for the missing trim. It was a little disappointing that upon my 2nd visit, the truck wasn't serviced completely. I ended up having another Safelite location finish the job at no cost when my truck was at the dealership for repairs.

I took him the windshield frame only with broken glass in it. I had taken the car up there a few days earlier so he could look at the job before saying yes or no. He said he could do it. He said 3 -5 business day and we agreed on a fair price. 3 business days later he calls and it's done. I pick it up and take it home, I figure I should be able to put it right back on the car. NOPE. 2 screws that hold the top part of the frame together have their nuts missing, he filled the holes with sealant to keep them in. 1 of the 4 side screws that help keep the frame rigid is in crooked possibility cross threaded. Then there is sealant spread randomly around the glass. As I'm scraping this off with a razor blade I see the glass is barely in the frame at the bottom corners, it looks like he cut the radius too big and then tried to cover it up with excess sealant. The sealant is not uniformed at all. All across the bottom it's high and low and smeared. My thought is that if you can't do the job admit it. This should have been install ready when I got it back. I should have taken pictures, but unfortunately I didn't. They did a terrible terrible job and I'm so disappointed. I thought using the Local guy was the good thing to do. This time I was way way wrong. DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS FOR YOUR GLASS NEEDS.
