We have used this location numerous times. A couple weeks ago my father-in-law took his car in and it took about six hours before they called us and told us there was a problem with the new windshield and the car would have to stay overnight so a new windshield could be replace. Odd but it is what it is. About three weeks later, I took my car in and six hours later we called and they stated they had issues with calibrating the car. My car wasn't ready until closing when I picked up my NEW 2025 Honda Pilot above the mirror was nothing but grimy handprints where they had to disconnect my camera. I wanted to provide some details of my recent windshield repair experience. I originally scheduled an appointment for a windshield repair on 11/15. At the appointment, I was told my car was not showing the correct model for repair and they didn't have the part/glass. They told me that they would reach out to the dealer to verify and obtain the correct glass/windshield. This all seemed reasonable. I also called State Farm and to make sure the year/make/model was correctly submitted, since this seemed like the insurance's fault. I was told to wait until at least 11/17 to call back. I called on 11/19, and they told me that everything was set and they could send a mobile technician on 11/20. I get a call on 11/20 from the technician saying that they should not have scheduled me for an appointment since they didn't have the part and to call back in around 2 days. Unexpectedly I get a call around 8 am on 11/21 saying a technician is on their way, and I ask specifically if it's the correct year/make/model and he says the appointment was set likely because the windshield had arrived. He arrives and says that the glass is for the incorrect car. I wait until 11/24 to call again, I am told everything is ready and scheduled for the technician to come on 11/25. He starts the repair process and the windshield is apparently for an incorrect year, so it couldn't be completed. This should have been verified first. I'm just frustrated that I've been getting these appointments, and there's no communication or coordination among their team members. I've been on strings of night shifts for work and it's really difficult to be staying up for the appointments and I'm just trying to get this repair in a timely manner. I ultimately decided to call my insurance and requested a different autoglass repair company. read more

The initial repair was not good. In fact it was terrible. Plus, the tech broke a part of my car. He admitted it, but when added to the poor repair, it was a bad day for me. BUT, when the store manager, Tyson Jenson heard about the issues, he stepped in and made it right. They said they calibrated my cars windshield and they never did? They said I needed to to take it to the dealership because it was the vehicle. I had a very disappointing experience with the Safelite located at 2405 W. University Dr. in Tempe on September 20, 2025. I dropped off my car early in the day for a windshield replacement, but no one called me to pick it up until right before closing. When I finally got my car back, I noticed the new windshield had a 6-inch scratch running across the middle. Additionally, the interior was left dirty--my headliner and seats had black marks on them that were previously not there, and there was broken glass left on the door sill. For a company that specializes in auto glass, this level of carelessness and lack of communication is unacceptable. Getting crack in your windshield is one of those things nobody wants. But if you do succumb to this misery, Safelite is there to help you out. My car had a fairly large crack in the windshield requiring full repair, and fortunately insurance paid for all of it except $50. Couple of hours later I rolled out with a new windshield. The windshield replacement went well, but the technician put on my emergency brake and failed to release it. He never told me that the brake was put on and I had no reason to suspect he did because you would not normally do that with a windshield replacement on level pavement. I took off after work and noticed immediately something was wrong. When I got to my destination, Home Depot, I smelled a burning oder. It still didn't dawn on me what was going on. When I got home, the brakes made a squeaking noise, that's when I looked under the dash and saw the emergency brake on. I called Safelite to report the damage, but if you use their system to report a problem, you can never reach a human. I had to call back and say I wanted to schedule a new appointment with the AI Robot. Eventually I got a human, but they finally told me that they don't put on emergency brakes and there was nothing they could do. I'll have to go to small claims court to get it resolved. Love this safelite location! The young ladies that work the front desk area are so polite, friendly and kind. They are quick and helpful and super accommodating! I had to leave my car during my work day since we only have one vehicle, and they were totally okay with that! The mechanics are quick, professional & do a great clean job. Would not recommend! My back windshield was installed crooked. There was still left over glass which I found out by trying to install my son car seat and cutting myself. They never once mentioned that they don't do tinted windshields. My leather will now get more damaged. This is all Unacceptable! UPDATE: I have an appointment to solve the issue. How ever upon cleaning my car, there was more glass on the back and on the back seats and a lot MORE in my trunk! I didn't expect a 5 star deep vacuum clean but how do you miss big chunks of glass! I scheduled to have the windshield to be replaced, they came and replaced it. After the replacement my A/c wasn't working, reverse camera did not work and electrical issues. My car was perfectly find prior to the replacement. I have a sensor on my rearview mirror and after looking at the way the mirror was attached to the new window it looked like a botched job. After speaking with safelite and going to their shop they said they did everything right. I highly DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!! They basically messed up somewhere and did not bother taking care of the error. The insurance recommended Safelite as a preferred provider for replacing a windshield. Scheduling the appointment was easy, however what came after that was a disappointment. In short, a day before said appointment, they texted me it will take about 6 hours to replace the glass and calibrate the sensors. That is nonsense, as the Tesla dealership stated it takes about 45 to 60 mins for the replacement and maybe an extra hour to go through everything else like sensors and making sure the adhesive cured correctly, etc. Nevertheless, I cancelled the appointment and will have it done at the dealer. What Safelite is doing looks very much like padding the insurance bill. read more

This is a go-to place for windshield replacement with my insurance. Unfortunately, I usually have to schedule two appointments because the first time the windshield is fixed, it is not really fixed. Typically this means the windshield is not sealed properly so it whistles and the last time they didn't replace my windshield wipers, so I had to go back and have them replace them. read more

I'm having the worst experience ever dealing with Safelite auto glass in Chandler 6625 w Chandler Blvd Chandler 85226 I got my windshield replaced with them on June 27th & they broke my side windshield moldings , the replacement tech came to my door once completed & handed me the broken windshield moldings & told me they was brittle & breaking , I told him those was in great shape & please show me where they was breaking & brittle , all he could do is show me the part where he broke it , so I asked him to call his manager b4 he left so we can get these replaced , he said ok I'll call now & starting walking to the van , He got in the van & left !!!!! so now I'm stuck calling to get these replaced & contacted the store above ( address ) & talked to Mark ( supervisor ) & he told me they was obligated to replace them since his tech broke them ( the tech never called his supervisor ) he said he was gonna start calling dealerships to see if they had a replacement for me , long story short 2 weeks go by wothout a call from Mark & without me driving my car & I called back like 15x's & now mark is on vacation , so I called customer care again & they told the check was being issued & I can pick it up from the store above , I got to the store & talked to the store manager Juan ( POS ) & he acts like he don't know what's going on , telling no check is issued to me & he would have to call & it would take a week @ the earliest , so I replaced my own windshield moldings & still haven't got a refund , let alone I haven't even got a phone call back after calling corporate & customer care over 20x's , they was $400 ( $375 ) to replace & I needed to drive my car to work , that's our only car besides 3 SUV's & I live 45mins from work each way , the gas was killing me for 2 weeks , so I had to buy those windshield moldings to drive may car & save gas money , now I'm stuck without a refund , please avoid this store is possible 6625 w Chandler Blvd Chandler 85226 Don't deal with Mark or Juan !!!!!! read more

I have two chips in my windshield. Each is about the size of a quarter. SafeLite says my Progressive insurance will only cover repair and not replace due to the size. I wasted my day waiting to have my windshield replaced after scheduling it a week before. They showed up to do the job and brought out the wrong glass. When I asked if they could bring out the glass and do it that day they said that they don't have the glass in stock and that it would be 4 days before they could come back-very frustrating. Excellent customer service. Appointment was honored and wait time/ completion was about 30 minutes. The waiting area was clean, provided coffee, snacks and water. Staff were polite and professional. This was the absolute worst place I have ever visited. The smell was off putting, but the lack of education from the employees was so beyond pathetic. I booked an appointment for my jeep's window to get fixed and called ahead of time clarifying the part that needed to be replaced. When I showed up they not only didn't have the part, but they tried to tell me that they ordered a glass piece for the side of my trunk instead (I have a soft top). They clearly never ordered the part even though my appointment was made weeks in advance. Let's just say I will never be going back there ever again. read more

Ty staff was very friendly and professional. The service did take over 2 hours but was still within the time quoted. My only complaints are that they took my membership car wash sticker off the inside of my windshield without telling me or giving it back, and the tape used on the windshield left a horrible residue that I'm struggling to get off. If you believe American craftsmanship and work ethic is dead, go here for confirmation. We've brought our car in twice, over a span of two years, and they've bungled the job twice. The first time, they "forgot" to calibrate the smart systems necessitating a return visit at great inconvenience. Yesterday, the oh-so diligent tech sent my wife on her way with a wobbly rear-view mirror and apparently didn't notice the broken bracket (or perhaps he broke it, who knows) necessitating a return. We now have the pleasure of waiting 7 days for another windshield. And this morning, oh joy, upon inspection of her car this Cletus got black adhesive all over our paint and never removed such. It is abundantly clear to me their quality assurance is non-existent. I surely hope this review sends a wake-up call to this place. I got my windshield replaced in April 2023. The guy replacing my windshield said that there was a crack in my windshield wiper arm and he needed to glue it together before being able to put the arm back on my car. He let the windshield wiper arm sit outside for a few hours after he finished my windshield and then he came back to see if he could put it back on. It wasn't dry, so he said he would come back tomorrow. He never came back, taking the bolt and cover that attached the wiper to my car with him. That took 10 dollars and 3 weeks of shipping to replace. Then, when I was trying to reattach my windshield wiper arm, it completely snapped in the area that had the glue all over it. That costs 50 dollars to replace! I believe that he probably broke my windshield wiper arm but instead told me that there was a crack in it and he glued it together just to be nice. Why else would he glue it together? Why wouldn't he just have warned me that my windshield wiper was cracked? There was no need to have him glue it together unless something had happened while he was changing my windshield. I will never visit Safelite Autoglass again and I will warn everyone I know to avoid this company if they need their windshield replaced. read more

To be clear, I've no problem with the Tempe, AZ. Facility. Took my vehicle in for windshield replacement after my insurance company recommended and facilitated my initial appt. Dropped off car, left and returned in a couple hours to pick it up. The people at the facility were timely, and courteous. However, in the coming days I noticed a vibrating whistle coming from one corner of the windshield. I tried contacting the only numbers I had for Safelite which apparently is their corporate office in the Eastern time zone which is closed by the time I get home from work. After their version of voice mail hell and chat bot unhelpful-ness I was finally able to leave a message. In this message I did include the problem, the facility where service was performed and INVOICE number. Three days later, I get an email from some corporate lackey to provide a little more info and the invoice number that I already provided, which if this person had done their job would have provided all the additional info requested and a solution rendered. I responded to that email within 30 minutes of receipt. After waiting 4 more days and not hearing back from Safelite, I drove to the facility to voice my problem in person with a live body. After getting the expected insincere apologies etc, set an appointment for the next day and redid the window installation, no problems so far. This time I was given a phone number for the actual facility. So again, allowing that the initial installation may not have worked out as hoped, not a big issue, it happens every once in awhile but my big issue is with customer service from their corporate office. And because of that, I will never use Safelite again, nor will I recommend them to anyone else. In AZ, can be pretty sure of one windshield replacement per year. read more
