I would avoid this body shop at all costs. They recently did body and paint work on my gf's bmw x3 and the work was so bad, I made them take the vehicle back to fix their horrible work. I literally had to spend an hour of my time wiping all the paint dust and overspray from the vehicle after they worked on it. They can't match mineral white metallic paint either as you can see from my photos. They also dinged the inner door sill area of our vehicle and won't take responsibility....not surprised. I'm being generous giving them two stars just because Austin who works there is a stand up guy and at least tried to make things right but sorry, your shop doesn't do quality work. read more

I'm not sure how I feel about my experience. Brought my car in that had been hit in an accident and when I came to pick it up after repairs and a new bumper, it was crooked. I had to ask them to at least fix the trunk lid so it wasn't crooked, which they did but the quarter panel and the new bumper don't line up perfectly. I was told that repair pieces like Honda bumpers are shipped in plastic bags so it must have gotten twisted...but really? I also noticed some scratches that I swear weren't there before. The guy disappeared and came back with some pics but how do I know those weren't taken after it happened?? Overall, it was ok but I'm really not sure I'd go back, but if I did I'd check more carefully for prior scratches so I know exactly what was on my car before hand. read more

I unfortunately had a pretty negative experience here despite the overwhelming positive reviews. The people were fairly decent to interact with but they sent an estimate of nearly $3,400 to fix a bent fender and rear bumper to the insurance company of the person who hit my truck parked in a parking lot causing the insurance to deem my truck a "total loss" I got them to send me an itemized estimate that was fluffed quite heavily. It seems that even though they are in network of the insurance company they are making up for the discounts they give them by tacking on tons of extras that don't need to be there & have nothing to do with the impact. There were several line items of "work" that had nothing to do with the collision and could have been completely avoided. The truck was pristine other than this minor incident and I now have to take my truck to other shops to get a more reasonable estimate or withdraw my claim entirely and fix everything out of pocket to untangle the mess they've caused. They returned my vehicle to me in the state shown below ( I taped my plate in the window & tucked the wires in) I understand the bumper being removed, I would have even understood the tow hitch assembly removed especially considering it was several hundred dollars factored into their estimate but what I don't understand is why the badges, bezels, and tailgate assembly were removed without anyone greenlighting any work? I asked why they removed them and after some pausing & stammering I was told it's part of the tear down process. Yes its part of the process when you're doing body work and paint but not when you're assessing damage. The damage was local to the bumper and the fender the tailgate was completely fine. I asked again why the estimate is $3400 they said "well there's some rusted bolts" Ok well its surface rust and I cant see how bolts would triple the amount this should actually cost. I'm glad most people have had a great experience with this place but from my perspective, the place is in Scottsdale so they're used to people having money to throw at problems they don't want/cant deal with and they are definitely taking insurance for a ride. Some more info some may find helpful, I dropped my vehicle off on a Monday, was told it may take 2 weeks, did not hear anything until Friday from the insurance company not Chapman collision that my truck was being totaled. When I came to pick my truck up after being called an hour earlier that it was " ready" I still waited in the lobby about 30-40 minutes, they said my battery died which was strange since the battery and alternator are new so unless doors & lights were left on I don't see why that would be happening. I am incredibly frustrated at the amount of unnecessary headache I have ahead of me to undo the mess they have now put me in from minor damage caused by someone else. My advice is if the damage is minor either live with it or pay another shop locally. Don't go through insurance and don't come here. read more

Absolutely terrible service and responsiveness. My car was towed there after an accident, since they are a Geico preferred repair center. My car has been there for six weeks, and neither the service contact (Gabriel) or manager (Daniel) have responded to repeated messages for an update. The original estimate they prepared failed to include items that were clearly damaged in the accident and need repair or replacement. Upon picking the vehicle up, I had my fingers crossed that Leo and Jose would take another look if I asked. Jose sat in the car with me and listened for the sound. My car was repaired - and it looks good. That is the only good thing I can say about my experience. I am left with the impression that this shop is indifferent to both the cars they service and their customers who drive them. The process took almost double the estimated time. Communication was sparse and lacked substance. I learned that my promise date would be missed by weeks after it was missed. I had concerns about suspension damage which were ignored until the car was completed. The car was returned to me dirty inside and out and smelling of the rags they left in the car. They have had my car since February and getting anybody to give me an update is frustrating to say the least. My insurance company calls every 2 weeks to follow up because there is no communication from them. Same response waiting on parts, I have called Mazda customer service and they said they have 2 week turn around on parts. Now I wonder where they are getting the parts for my car that had less then 10,000 miles when brought in after my accident. As far as my adjuster he should attend a customer service class as he never returns his calls. My 2016 Lexus RX350 was unfortunately hit on the Rear Passenger door by another driver who wasn't paying attention during lane change. I picked Chapman Collision because they were near my house, had Enterprise Car Rental Across the street and had solid reviews. Upon visiting the facility. The lobby was very nice, included drinks and coffee. I was greeted by the nice receptionist and the body shop estimator Gabriel. Both were extremely professional and a pleasure to work with. Got an estimate done, insurance approved got an appointment scheduled to turn in my car to the body shop. A week later, I got my car back and found some issues with the vehicle. 1) The Front Passenger Door and Rear Passenger doors do not close properly, in addition to this. The interior and exterior door handles was making loud popping noises. I immediately took it back to the body shop and they immediately took it to the back and made some adjustments. Door handle popping noise was resolved, The Rear door was able to be closed, the front door was not able to be closed. I had to take the car back 2 more times to resolve the door not closing properly. They were able to resolve the issue on the third try after speaking with the manager. 2) Exterior of the car when returned back to me was clean but the inside of the car was caked in dust all over. I was not expecting the car to be flawless but it was quite the amount of dust. 3) Rear tail lights, rear bumper, rear passenger door trim, front passenger door all have panel gaps now. When I shut the front passenger door, the entire front passenger door, including the side mirrors shakes loosely as if the door wasn't rebuilt back correctly. Overall, the body shop and the people are super nice and professional and a pleasure to work with but misses the home run with the quality of body work. This may be an isolated incident. The facility is super clean and since it's during Covid they had spaced out chairs for people to sit. I was seen right away. As a woman, it's frustrating dealing with auto companies and their lack of respect, and unfortunately this collision center was no exception. Without reason, one of the estimators, Adam, continued to speak to me rudely over the phone in ways that were void of any respect.
