Got my driver side windshield sprayer fixed. The mechanic said "the guy who replaced the windshield pinched the sprayer hose in the process!" So, dropping the rating. Scheduled my windshield replacement and all I had to do was drop off my vehicle and pick it up when it was done. The front desk was so kind and the lobby was very clean along with the restrooms. Safelite was to replace our windshield today 03/23/2016. They brought the new glass covered in scratches. Driver told me that was the second one that day. So that tells me they don't inspect it until they get to the customer. Does not seem like a good plan. Now I get to set aside another day to wait on them since they have to reorder and re-schedule my appointment. That will be 03/25/2026. Exactly how I wanted to spend my birthday. I've used Safelite many times over the years to repair or replace my windshield, which is covered through my insurance. Very simple process when scheduling an appointment through their website. They text me just enough in regard to appointment reminders, arrival ETA, and post-completion check. Just remember to use the notes section and put OEM during a replacement so that Safelite and your insurance are on the same page. read more

I had my appt scheduled 12-5, the installer arrived but thee was a problem with the glass so we rescheduled. A few days later another installer came out.....they had given him the same windshield. I was frustrated since you cannot speak to a human, there toll free is all automated, no live human. I asked to speak to his manager....never happened. The silver lining was the driver Alan, called his office after he left and they actually had my size windshield on hand. Someone had cancelled that day. Alan called me, came back out and made the situation right. He didn't have to, could have just gone home, but he saved the day! Thank you Alan! read more

I just called Safelite auto glass to ask to speak to a representative. I gave them all my information, but they hung up on me. If they are unwilling to answer the phone, they should not have a phone number. If they only want us to do things online, again, they should not have a phone number. I truly can't express how disgusting I find the fact that they can't even talk to you a person for five minutes. read more

This is from my google review: Final verdict 17 Oct 2024: I called the help that left a comment on this post. The person on the phone didn't let me talk, made assumptions on the issue. I literally had to raise my voice and tell the person to stop talking, so I can tell him what the real issue was. They got me scheduled to come back in. I showed up and the notes that was left with the technician was the assumption and not what I addressed. Didn't matter anyways because that location said they couldn't help me anyways. Very poor customer service at all levels, at location, and the main customer service help line. I really hate to say this because I used Safelite as my main place but beg all of you to avoid this company at all costs. They are not the same like they used to be. I have a coworker with a BMW that has been in an ongoing battle with them for the last six months... not the best way to support the stakeholders. New edit: Safelite has nice people but still issues. They will replace the trim on the windshield but won't do anything with the sound. The sound is in the dash and they claim that they didn't cause it. However, this rubbing sound happened after this appointment. They are trying to claim it's the compressor, it's not. They are trying their best to put the responsibility somewhere else. I have an outside source saying that they have dropped something round the blower. So now I have an appointment with the dealer (24 Sep 2024), just for them to tell me what I already know and prove that Safelite made a mistake. Also, my HUD is really blurry now and hurts my head when I look at it, I'm assuming another mistake that they would put the blame elsewhere. Be warned, save yourself the drama, save yourself the headache, save yourself acquisitions, and just go somewhere else. Both panel trim that rests on the windshield is sticking out and loose. The people were nice in person but the non-user friendly computer phone call is really distasteful. Telephone customer service was excellent. But, customer service at the actual location was lacking. Joe at this location on Kolb Rd canceled the appointment saying they received incorrect windshield. And, the job would take an entire day Instead of the 3-4 hours originally quoted. I needed my windshield replace, I hesitated for months to get it replaced. I finally decided to get it done. Made an appointment to have it replaced on site. A simple windshield replacement with tint strip is all that was required. They showed up and the windshield did not have the window tint strip. The tech said he was not informed that it was to have the tint strip. The windshield did not get replaced because they needed to reschedule the appointment so they could add the tint strip. The second attempt was a repeat of the first attempt. As some time has passed we now make the third attempt. Guess what! Same thing again. I was upset and said go ahead and replace the windshield it needs to be replaced. They tried to place a small nut under my wipers and told me that's why my windshield got cracked. I just got done detailing my vehicle. Really! Then they poor placed protective equipment at the base of the windshield on the inside. As the removed the windshield I see that they cut the foam insulation at the base of the windshield inside. See picture. They immediately picked up the foam pieces that where cut. The tech tried to say my windshield has been replaced before. It has never been replaced. it was the OEM windshield From Jeep. It has been months of trying to get this fixed. What a complete waste of time. it has cost me more money to take the time away from work to continue to get what they damaged fixed. I'm going to contact the CEO Renee Cacchillo. We had a chip in our windshield and this dude walked up and said that it was all our fault and he couldn't do anything. He was RUDE and CONDESCENDING. Absolutely awful service. I couldn't believe it. He managed to yell at me for five minutes straight and refused to help. I asked one final time if he could fix it and he screamed "NO" in my face and walked off. Had to replace my passenger side window. Scheduled Monday for Wednesday, apt was between 8-12. Peter (PJ) came out, was super friendly, and professional. Window was done perfectly. Now the downside. First is safelight is a lot more than almost every other company, but insurance helped with reimbursement so it helped me, out of pocket, shop around. Second a 4 hour window is a little much these days. With today's tech, you can let them know it's between 8 and 12, but twll.us how many are before us so we can gage it better. That's just laziness on the company, esp with how much they charge. All in all work.was great, and great quality. Set up an appointment after my insurance company recommended them. I received a confirmation email stating that the repair would take 2-3 hours. I went down and checked in. The receptionist was on the phone so I had to wait 5 minutes for her. When she finally got to me I was told it would take 3-4 hours and not 2-3. I then sat around and waited an hour only to notice they hadn't even started working on my car so I cancelled my appointment and left . Complete waste of my time and utter incompetence. Told Rd. office--within a 6 month window that began on 21 JAN 2021. On 21 JAN 2021 the Safelite technician informed me that in the process of him removing the damaged windshield, he cracked the window frame. He sincerely apologized numerous times. Both he, and Michelle, told me that they were going to tow my van to their shop for repair, and that they would order the VIN. When it arrived within 6 months, they would contact me to return to remove the windshield again, replace the VIN, then replace the windshield, thus finalizing the claim and the work. I handed my keys to the towing service man, and watched my van leave. Then, the rain began coming down very, very hard. 1 week later, (28 JAN 2021), I picked my van up at the Kolb Rd. location, and realized that the windshield and visor area were completely soaked and moist. I spoke with Michelle and she told me to bring my van in again, as she assumed that my sunroof was leaking. On SAT 30 JAN, her technician did not find any leaking when he used a water hose to check the sunroof. There are still water damage stains in my vehicle. After this, on 2 or 3 separate occasions I have called the Kolb Rd. Office and the office ladies always tell me that she is not available for me and she never takes, nor returns my calls. I have called USAA to inform them about this grievance on 2 or 3 separate occasions, and they have told me to call the Safelite Customer Service line, or they transferred me. I have been told on 2 or 3 occasions by the Customer Service members of Safelite that they would call that office location, and then contact me about the status of the VIN and the lack of action about the water damage. On 24 NOV 2021 I tried calling the 800-800-2727 line and the message that I heard was; "No one can take my call." While the @safelite S. Kolb location is not directly responsible for the water damage, they have not been a proactive, transparent, professional team at all! And I'm tired of all of the dodging and unprofessionalism from all of the employees and companies that I have been trying to deal with to finish the work that has already been paid to complete the damage! I am a Middle School teacher, and unfortunately, I do not have time to pursue this problem as required, thus, it has been beneficial to Safelite and USAA to continue ignoring my substandard quality of work and customer service. The vehicle sensors require windshield replacement to be done in-shop due to calibration requirements. After the new windshield was installed and during pickup, the technician informed me of a manufacturer "blemish" in the glass. It appeared to be a deep scratch directly within the driver's view. The scratch was then made worse when the technician attempted to buff the scratch out. The result was a scratch with a larger blurred circle surrounding it. I was offered new glass or I could accept the windshield as it was. I believed the blemish and attempted repair now presented a safety issue, so opted to have new glass installed. I was informed a new windshield could be ordered and another appointment could be scheduled the same week. Although the scenario was not ideal, I realized I did not have another option so proceeded with making a second appointment. Today I arrived early to the second appointment and was told the current glass was too new and if they tried to replace the windshield it may cause damage to the headliner and/or the dashboard. I inquired as to why I wasn't informed of this during my first appointment and taken into consideration when the second appointment was scheduled. "They should have told you", was the response I received. Being that my home is 20 miles away and I had already visited the location twice within the week, I considered having the new windshield replaced despite the warning I was given. After I posed a few more questions to clearly understand the risk, the attendant asked me to wait a moment and walked into the garage. A couple of minutes later, he returned and informed me that they did not have glass for my vehicle. I then began to question why I was not informed prior to the appointment which would have prevented me from having to drive back into town. Again, no clear answer, and attributed it to the unpredictability of the supply chain deliveries. I now have a third appointment scheduled for next week, a busy holiday week which I had planned to have the broken windshield taken care of prior to. We had a cracked windshield that needed replacing, so we took it to this location. It was easy to book the appointment online, and they were excellent with reminders of the appointment via email. Fast and friendly service when we took it in. Our appointment was at 4:00 and they stayed a little late to finish it, get us called, and allow us time to drive back to pick it up that night. They were very accommodating and didn't complain at all about having to stay late. It looks like they did a great job with the windshield and everything seems to be working properly. read more

My windshield needed replacement. The staff at satellite were very courteous and attentive. I didn't wait in line long to be checked in. The place looked very busy, cars in all the bays as well as in the parkinglot. I was in and out within the hour. The waiting room had plenty of snacks and water for customers. There even was a play area for children. The waiting area was spacious as well. The only hiccup I heard was for a customer with a newer model car and we all know newer model cars have smart windshields. The customer had to do something with the dealer before replacement. Had an appointment scheduled through my insurance/a Safelight representative for 11am on 4/8/19. Showed up a few minutes early and spoke with the lady at the front who informed me she'd get the technician to come out to review the damage with me to begin getting the front windshield replaced. After 25 minutes, I went back up to her (I had just been sitting in the lobby) to ask where the tech was only to find out he was sitting waiting for me too--the front desk lady never told him I arrived. After the nearly half hour, I reviewed the damage with the technician and he then searched for a windshield replacement for my Toyota Corolla. He quickly got back to me to say that they don't have my windshield in stock despite their inventory saying so, which is why my insurance scheduled the appointment for today. Overall, I had been here for longer than 30 minutes only to find out my part isn't even in store. However, when getting in the car the next day with the sun hitting at a different angle, regular v-shaped scratches were all over the clearcoat of my hood. I called and they claimed that they didnt do it. No way for me to prove they did. Bad experience. So many other options. Go somewhere else. Well, lookey here. Customer service has graciously offered to help?! It was customer service that refused to acknowledge the problem! Was unable to calibrate cameras after installing new glass. Required I sign a waiver acknowledging safety features that I paid a lot of money for would not work until calibration was done and they couldn't do until the next day. Drove across town the next day for calibration and Safelite was still unable to do calibration, awaiting another appointment. They continue to waist my time that I have to keep leaving work for and I prepaid so I feel like they don't care at this point on completing my job. Don't bother taking your Tesla to them. read more

My windshield needed to be completely replaced. I was told that it would be $250 to replace the windshield plus $30 for mobile service plus taxes when I called through the Esurance Safelite line. I repeated the prices back to the rep I was talking to and they confirmed. The technician was easy to work with, let me know when he was on his way and did a great job. I have no complaints at all about the actual service. Professional all the way. When the bill was generated through the system, I was charged $340 for the windshield + $10 for molding + $30 for mobile service + taxes. Overall, it cost $100 more than what I was told. I called in and was put on an endless treadmill of representatives that did nothing to help me. I asked to have the call recording reviewed last week, because all calls with clients are recorded. They have not got back to me yet. They could easily do what's right: Review the call, charge me what they said they were going to charge, and I would be satisfied. read more

This place is absolutely trash. I will never bring another car here. Brought my girlfriend's Audi here (Progressive's preferred vendor) and they completely botched the job. First trip in they installed a non OEM glass ,and then tried to calibrate the cameras for hours and couldn't get it right. Made me sign a waiver and said that an OEM glass would have to be ordered. Brought back in for the OEM glass a few days later, they called me around closing time and told me the car was good and emailed me a certificate of calibration. Jumped in the car to leave and the cameras still weren't right (got safety features disabled light on the dash as soon as we started the car) Had to take my car to Audi ,and Audi informed me that Safelight reused and non reusable silicone pad in the car! When I called the manager out on this he claimed "That pad is not needed and can be removed and thrown away". Completely unacceptable. Had to pay for a new windshield out of pocket to make sure everything was installed correctly, and when I asked Safelight to pay for the job at the dealership, they refused. Had to get Progressive involved to make them pay the money back. Took Audi over 8 hours to align my cameras because this place had them so out of wack. Most incompetent windshield place in town. Not happy. First try at window replacement they ordered wrong window. Second time they came to work and did it. 4 months later tmy rock shattered glass.
