One Star Is Too Generous - Worst Experience Ever I brought my 2024 Kia Seltos (16K miles) to Gerber Collision & Glass on Lakeside Pkwy for a small quarter panel repair after someone backed into me. After waiting two full weeks, Gerber quoted me $13,000 to fix what other shops offered to do for around $2,000. Because of that ridiculous estimate, the other driver's insurance walked away, and my own insurance totaled the car. No one from Gerber ever called to discuss options -- not once. When I finally went to pick up my vehicle after deciding to keep it, I found it dirty, dusty, and reeking of cigarette smoke. The camel-colored seats were stained, parts were left loose, and there were ketchup packets left in my trunk. This shop showed a complete lack of respect for my property and for me as a customer. If you value your car and your sanity, stay far away from this Gerber location. read more

Needed to get a car fixed after a break in- just glass and door trim. The receptionist was talking to herself when she answered the phone and when I asked her questions she would whisper to someone in the background. It was extremely awkward. The owner told me that "he could fit me in if necessary but that he was busy and I should go somewhere else." Wtf Weirdest interaction ever. read more

I needed some work done and Gerber took the time to listen to what we wanted, communicated clearly and did a superb job. They used high quality parts, buffed the back bumper (at their suggestion) :-). The color on the front bumper matched the rest of the car. And the car was washed! I'm hoping I won't need additional body work on my car but I would return to Gerber without any reservations. read more

Made promises to buff scratches, and other blemishes. Was not done. Car was dirty at pickup even though major front end repair was performed. Disappointed in quality of work, paint match was sub-standard. Felt ripped off and I am considering letting my insurer know since they are supposed to be a USAA Gold provider. *Update Manager followed-up once yelp review was posted. Manager expressed genuine concern with making things right. Shows genuine concern wit customer satisfaction. Offered to make it right. Felt appropriate to revise review as such service and what felt like genuine customer concern is rare. read more

My experience with Gerber has been horrible. My insurance directed me to them. After having my car for a week the car came back with discoloration all over the hood. The Assistant Manager (Megan) very rudely told me just to buff it out. I tried and it did nothing. So I brought it in for them to attempt to 'buff it out'. Sent me on my way and after getting home saw it was all still there. Sent info and pics to my insurance company and they demanded they repaint the whole hood. After having my car for another 6 days they told me 'every person in this place checked the quality including my manager", and sent me on my way. Once I got home I saw there is a nick in the paint, scratches ALL over (even on adjacent areas of the hood that werent to be painted) and scratches and or residue along crease at top of hood. So apparently EVERY SINGLE PERSON INCLUDING THE MANAGER has horrible quality standards. I would NEVER deal with this place again. read more

We brought our car in for an estimate. The woman helping us was unsure of what exactly needed to be repaired so she asked that we wait for her repair tech to assess it. After waiting about 10 minutes another woman came out and added additional repairs that the first woman had missed. We were then told that it would take an additional 30 minutes to complete the estimate. We agreed to wait and she proceeded to take photos of the vehicle. Once she finished 10 minutes later she proceeded to tell us that even if we decided to go with them they would not even begin the repair for 2 weeks. Why didn't she tell us that up-front before essentially wasted an hour of our day? read more

My truck and I were in an accident and my insurance company recommended Gerber. They were great and had the truck repairs completed before the anticipated date because they knew I needed it quickly. Communication and service was excellent. The truck looks new. read more

I didn't have the very best of service in the beginning because I felt that all accident related problems were not addressed or fixed. Then I called my insurance company again and received an email to return in order to inspect my vehicle again. When I did, they were very professional and polite about everything. I've been to Gerber twice for my car. Both times they did an excellent job. They kept me informed of how the progress was going. Although I went through insurance, I needed extra work done. They gave me an excellent price on the extra work since I was doing it at the same time. The only reason they did not get 5 stars was because I needed to take it back for a couple of details I was not happy with. They fixed the problems without question, and I got my car back the next day. I would highly recommend Gerber. They seem to take pride in their work. read more

Gerber Tucson, AZ Shoddy workmanship, After two attempts to repair the leaks in my trunk, it still leaks real bad and will be very costly to repair now. Someone at Gerber Collision used a grinder and sprayed my car with the cuttings. The steel bits from the grinder are imbedded in the paint and the steel cuttings now have rusted. There is not enough room here to list all of the other problems. I am extremely disappointed with the workmanship performed on my car. I received a Credit Card receipt dated 4/14/10 and the Gerber brochure from them but no other paper work. The only name I remember was Martin. ,Ralph read more

First off, Holy Cow!!! After I had someone knock big chunks of paint off my BMW 5 series, I called these guys to see if they could help out. As soon as I pulled up into the parking lot, I could see this wasn't one of those "yeah, I paint cars in my lean-to garage" places. This was completely professional from the exterior to the interior. I walked through the door and was greeted by an amazing receptionist and then met by my evaluator, Sam, who took the time to explain to me the entire process. Sam gave me a quote that was far less than what I was expecting to pay. Two days later, I had my car back and it looked amazing. They had matched the paint perfectly and it honestly looked like a bran new car again. I can not speak more highly of this company. I will never go anywhere else or recommend anywhere else ever again. This is the palace to go! read more

I was at fault in a side-swipe accident a few weeks ago that caused damage to one of my headlights and my front bumper/fender area. Gerber is just a few minutes from my house and they were listed through USAA as a trusted repair shop. I took my car in on a Monday morning for repairs and it was ready by Friday afternoon! They called to give me updates on the status of repairs and coordinated with Enterprise for my rental car -- I was picked up from Gerber and was able to leave my rental there when I took my car home. The quality of the work was very good and my car was clean and beautiful when I got it back. They even touched up a few non-related scratches for me at no charge! Though I only needed to pay my $500 deductible, they were upfront with all of the charges for the repairs and gave me a detailed estimate. They even offered to repair the clear coat on my roof (which unfortunately I could not afford at the time). I would go there again and will recommend them to my friends and family. read more

Terrible facility and even worse staff and customer service. Took my car in for repairs through my fleet company and they refused the business because they had 18 cars on the lot, which is apparently too busy for a collision center that is nationwide. There wasn't a single smile from the staff from the moment i walked in. They refused to look at the damage to even know what's wrong, but immediately knew they didn't have the parts. Needless to say I left there and took my business to Jim click, who were more than happy to take my business because that's what they're in the business for, to repair vehicles. Will never take my car to gerber collision again or recommend to anyone. read more

I highly recommend this shop on 7940 E. Lakeside Parkway here in Tucson. Sam, the estimator was great as were the Staff. Sam would call me every two days and give me an update. When I picked up the car, it looked like it had been detailed and looked like a new car. I never met anyone from the shop, but what they did was perfect! Paint matched, parts all matched and the finish was amazing. Great people, great work and great job. Thanks Gerber!!! read more

Horrible place to go. My car experienced a hit and run in a parking lot and no note was left. On top of that I trusted Gerber Auto to fix my car in a timely manner. Unfortunately, that didn't happen...my car was supposed to be done in 6 days-it turned into 2 and a half weeks. Everytime I got a call from them, my car was pushed back. When I finally got it back there were buff marks and bumps still left in the "new" bumper. The manager explained how it wasn't their fault, it was the manufacturers fault. The communication between Gerber and myself was lost at that point as I contacted my insurance adjuster to let them know how Gerber rushed my vehicle and didn't not fix it. The manager was very rude because she didn't take responsibility for anything and treated me awful as a customer. Please go somewhere else because you will spend more time and money getting your car back. read more
