The center of my windshield got hit by a rock that came off of a large dump truck on the Gulf Freeway. My visit to Safelite was easy to setup and they got me in early and did the epoxy injection repair to help stop the impact star from spreading. Everyone was super friendly and the shop was very clean and orderly. I even had them replace the wipers while they were at it with a good quality set at a low cost. The Webster Safelite is a well run place with friendly staff doing quality repairs. Definitely would recommend them. read more

Really can't recommend these guys. The tech who replaced my windshield was kind and courteous but they were not able to re-attach my rear-view mirror and its been over a week now. Apparently its some issue with Subaru combined with the Subaru-factory installed rear-view mirror I have. It doesn't matter though, there's no way Safelite in its ubiquity hasn't ran into this issue before, and no excuse for not being prepared for it. Anyway now I am waiting on Safelite, who is waiting on Subaru, for a part to reattach an essential safety feature of the car while my wife drives around with our two small kids in the back. Maybe bad luck, but in the future I'll be trying someplace else. read more

Terrible experience here, DO NOT RECOMMEND. I had my windshield replaced, and as soon as I drove away there were loud wind and vibration noises. I returned for a warranty appointment and was told the issue was fixed by a manager Tony. It was not fixed, and still had the issue. I returned again for another warranty appointment. Same thing, same run around again. I was told it was fixed and it was not. I immediately returned, and the store manager now told me the issue was preexisting damage to the seal. He said this part normally wears out on my type of vehicle and it was probably already damaged before they worked on my vehicle. There was absolutely no issue with this seal until they touched it! He then offered to pay for 1/2 of the cost of replacing the seal that THEY DAMAGED while servicing my vehicle. Half was $140. Poor workmanship, poor communication to customers, and terrible management. read more

The Safellite Auto Glass facility on Bay Area Blvd., Webster, TX was really great with customer service. I had to go into the facility because my windshield had something that had to be calibrated in the facility. The people who greeted and scheduled appointments were very, very good as I had to reschedule several times with school starting and my grandson needing pickups etc. The facility itself was so comfortable ~ coffee, water, soda, crackers, cookies, etc. ~ with a clean restroom close by. The work was excellent and the technician was careful to explain what I needed to do/and not do after the work was done. Everyone associated with this business was very professional. I went there a few weeks ago to get a new windshield. They didn't have the correct one for my car. They were supposed to call me within 3 days when they found the correct windshield. I never heard from them. You can't call the store directly either, you get routed to the generic 800 number. read more

Called to make an appointment for rock chip repair after being referred to this company by my insurance company. The person that answered the phone seemed very uninterested and was frankly quite rude. He did not want to answer any questions he seemed put out that I called. This review is for the Webster, TX location. I had to schedule 3 appointments. Each time they came out with a defective windshield. The third time they came out with the same windshield as the second time and installed the defective windshield anyway! They said they would call to reschedule a 4th appointment but 4 days passed and they never called. I went ahead and scheduled a replacement with another company. Obviously this location does not care about their clients' time. They offered no compenstaion for the inconvenience and the manager seemed upset at me for scheduling a replacement with another company. Unless you want to waste your time, avoid this company. read more

This is one of the most inefficient office I have had to deal with from the receptionist to the store manager. I had an appointment initially to have my windshield replaced due to a crack that had expanded over a few days. I went to Safelite at Webster and left my vehicle (MB GLS 450 )there and was advised that it would take a few hours.On reaching home I received a call that they did not have the right windshield that they would have to order the windshield which would take another week. Anyway accepted their explanations picked up my vehicle returned home. After a week I received no call about my appointment or whether the windshield was available - called in and they confirmed that windshield was available. Took my vehicle and dropped it off - got a ride back home and then received a call after a few hours that my vehicle was ready. I arranged another ride back to their store, and when I got there I was in a state of shock - the windshield that they replaced with, had an extremely large crack extending almost from top to bottom of the new windshield. I first spoke with the employee who claimed that the windshield was not a genuine MB windshield and hence cracked easily. I then met with the Receptionist who quickly directed me to the store manager who was quite dismissive - stating that these things do happen and that my insurance would not pay for a new genuine MB windshield.I mentioned to him that my insurance would pay for the windshield once I met my deductible or even then I would have paid for it myself. He did not seem to care or suggested any remedy - so I had to leave with a terrible bitter feeling of having to return home with a worse and badly damage windshield. I waited all morning for my 8-12 appointment and nobody arrived. I called at 12 and they tried calling the technician but she didn't answer. They assured me she would be calling back within 5 minutes. 20 minutes later and still no call so I called customer service back. At this point they proceeded to tell me my technician would not be coming due to the fact she didn't feel well and had went home. They offered to give me another appointment for tomorrow morning. Ummm no! I'm not waiting another 4 hours for a company that does not value their customers enough to call them and let them know the service wouldn't be preformed. I had to use Safelight because my truck was broken into (not a good experience). I needed service ASAP as I was leaving town, the technician on the phone searched the availability of my glass and shop schedule at every business location they had between League City and New Orleans(my final destination). My glass wasn't available, but I understood, you can't have every window for every car just hanging around. The fact that he searched as extensively as he did is what mattered to me. He made me an appointment first thing for the morning I arrived back home at a location I didn't even know about that was just a few blocks from my house (I thought I was going to have to drive much further). As soon as I showed up the tech at the front desk greeted me, let me know they were waiting for me and offered me some coffee. Not even two minutes after I arrived his guys already had my truck in the service bay getting things taken care of. As one of the techs was washing all of my windows he noticed a small chip in the windshield, he let me know and the customer service tech did some research and found out that my insurance would cover it with no cost to me. He did all the leg work with the insurance and had it repaired at the same time my other window was being replaced. As I did a walk around when all work was done I noticed the guys went the extra mile to clean inside and outside of all of my windows, and not only vacuum up the broken glass inside, but vacuumed the entire interior. Everyone one was very friendly and professional, the shop was spotless inside, and they finished all work, both scheduled and added on, in less than an hour with very high quality finish. Hell, even the free coffee was pretty good. I will highly recommend this shop to everyone I know!!!! read more

Quick and easy. I had a tiny rock chip on my windshield and didn't want it to spread. The repair was free through my insurance, Geico. Repair tech came to my work and fixed it within a half hour and the best part is that the chip is gone! GONE! I was not expecting that... I thought they would just seal it to keep it from spreading, but it's visibly gone. Amazing. read more

Have used safelite for years and multiple times with great results. In 2016 we had 3 rock chips repaired by the safelite mobile service. The lady that did the job was nice but new to safelite. Over time the repair started to grow and I took the SUV (my wife drives this vehicle) to repair a couple of new chips. The technician stated the big chip could not be repaired as it had previously been repaired and that whoever did the repair did not do it properly. I told him and the service coordinator that the repair was done by safelite. The service coordinator stated manager was not in and to check back later and he could look up the prior invoice. I called back a couple of days later and they looked up the invoice and said to bring the car back in. I brought the car back in and the desk person looked up the prior invoice and said the prior repair person was no longer with safelite. Another technician stated they could not do anything other than replace the windshield at my cost. The prior technician and service coordinator had stated they may be able to chip out the prior repair and redo their repair. Sounds like everyone has a different story! ALso sounds like their prior employee did not know how to properly repair the windshield. Also sounds like they do not stand behind their work! read more

Wish I could give less than 1 star. The people who work for the Galveston, TX area are horrible. An old roommate called to make an appt (he broke the window and said he would pay; card was put on the record) It took 3 weeks to get the appt; I wasted a whole day off waiting for someone to come. Never did. Rescheduled the appt; took another 2 weeks. The tech gets there, looks at the parts I have, tells me I can throw a piece away because it is not needed (becomes important later in review) then says payment needs to happen after job is complete. I explained the situation. I was then told card numbers are not kept on file. He took my information down so Safelite could contact me to set up another appt. Never heard anything for over a month. I called to make another appt, which was set for 10 days later. I wanted to verify that my rooommate could call to put his card on file; they said yes. I called 2 days before the scheduled appt to see if there was a card on file. They told me there was a credit card number on file. Also, I was told that they only get rid of credit card info if the appt was canceled (which it was not for any of the appt times made). Funny because, the morning of my appt, that roommate sent me a text message saying he was not able to call and gave me his card number (meaning they had his credit card info the entire time and the job could have been completed). At 8am, the morning of the appt, the tech calls. I did not answer because I did not recognize the number, and no voice message was left. The same number called back, I did not answer, but as the tech was hanging up the phone, I realized who it was because I could hear him talking about the window. (BUT he did not leave a real voice mail saying who he was and what the call was about). I called back, he said he would be coming at some point in the day, and that he had a few other stops, but he was calling to make sure I have a payment method, because he talked to the original tech that came out the 2nd time and he told him, that I could not pay. He also kept telling me he would not pay this much for the glass I was getting, it is a ridiculous amount, and that I could find it cheaper somewhere else. Later, I take my dog out to pee and whatnot, come back in to a missed call and a voicemail (about an hour and a half later) They told me that they did not have the glass for my jeep and they need to reschedule. I called back and was told that they have been trying to get in touch with me all week....I never got any voicemail saying this in the previous days. They continued to argue with me saying they had....I also told her I talked to the tech that was supposed to come out and he never mentioned not having the glass. I was told the glass would not be in until next week and the earliest appt would be the next week (7 days later). So I rescheduled yet again. I called back making sure they would keep the card number they had on file. Later I called another glass company to get a quote. I was quoted 3x less than Safelite. So I called this other company on Monday, they told me it will take ONE day to get the glass in, and set up an appt. I then CANCELED Safelite. So when I took my jeep to get the glass installed, they asked me about this part they needed that holds the glass in place while driving. YES, the part the Safelite tech told me I did not need and I threw away, I did, indeed need it. So, yet again, I have to pay for a part, I would have had prior to the ignorance of Safelite. I have sent 2 different request emails to Safelite and still have not heard from anyone. I WILL NEVER, EVER USE THIS COMPANY OR RECOMMEND TO ANYONE EVER. read more
