If it were possible to rate this service a zero, I would do so. Understanding these are challenging times, and unsafe, especially for the elderly, I placed an order for my 84 year old friend ten days ago . The order was to be delivered in the morning tomorrow. This evening, I was emailed, my order had been completely cancelled. Unhappy indeed, I personally went to the store, and was able to purchase 90 % of the list I had submitted 10 days ago which was to be delivered tomorrow. Do not trust this service. Further checking resulted in this ugly fact, it is not an isolated incident. Terrible, especially for our most vulnerable, helpless seniors. If I hadn't stepped in, this little man would of not had food in his home. Shame on you!!! read more

This Safeway is closer to our house then the one on Dunne but I only come here in a pinch. They usually are out of the lunch meat in the deli that we like. The "fresh" bread from the bakery is hardly ever fresh. The bakery in the Dunne store is always putting out warm fresh loaves of bread and they don't run out of our favorite meats. Plus we use the Wells Fargo in the Dunne store. I don't use US Bank, which is what is in this store. read more

Two and a half stars because of the variety of low sodium food. Customer service was garbage tonight but I don't expect anything different from this location. There was no hello and definitely not a thank you have a good night. Employees try to dodge you instead of help you. Not like much can be expected though because management here is just as crappy until you call corporate on them. I rarely visit this location because it's a waste of time! This had to be the absolute WORST experience EVER. So it's Saturday April 25th about 8pm and we wanted some dinner, but just didn't want fast food and neither of us wanted to cook after working all day. So we decided the fried chicken and Caesar salad on display would be good. The employee that acted like she was being punished by helping us was so dam rude and her entire demeanor was just horrible. It was an older Caucasian woman and I only say this to help management figure out who it was because she wasn't wearing a name badge either. She sighed and would look at us in disbelief every time we said, "yes we would like one more thing.." It really was just terrible the attitude she had. I almost wanted to apologize for wanting anything. I thought maybe I had offended her? I don't know. As if this wasn't enough, we get home and dig in because we were pretty hungry. My chicken was bloody, funky tasting, and clearly uncooked in 3 of the 4 large pieces. The salad was grossly soggy and there were so many pieces of lettuce that were brown and tasted rotten!! The croutons were soggy as heck and it was just DISGUSTING. How in the world is it ok to sell food in this condition to the public?? I think we should be refunded but we've already tossed it in the trash. Come on Safeway, there's no excuse for any of this-especially the way the employee treated us. read more

This is my favorite Safeway in the area. It's always well-stocked and the products I need are easy to find. There's a good selection of fresh produce. They have the best cuts of filet mignon I've seen, and for $13.99/lb. One criticism is that the restrooms could use more regular cleaning. Overall, I would recommend this Safeway location. read more

Had a horrible experience this morning . Called the night before to order 20 breakfast burritos from the deli. The deli people told me they were going to be ready. Not only were they not done when we're set to pick them up but they didn't have the order information and they are all cold. Tried to call supervisor but I was placed on hold for 10-15 minutes. Very strange experience. 2 people making sushi in front of the sandwich station, heads down, facing us but completely ignoring us. I asked if I was in the right place to order a sandwich, and the girl just says "yes", nothing else. I asked if anyone is working. The other guy says "we only make sushi". Been coming to this Safeway for 12 years now, but I think I'm done. I asked 3 different clerks for help in finding an item. In fact two clerks kind of argued with each other as to where my item lived. But no one offered to go find it. Finally went to the front and asked the only person available, the checker at the self-checkout. He told me I needed to find someone to show me where my item is located! Wow! I asked him if he could get me some help. He literally mumbled for help into the intercom. No one would know what he asked for from what he said. So I waited, and continued to wait, until I had enough. I told him I'm done waiting and he said whatever!!! I was furious when I left. Went to Nob Hill, got immediate help finding the same item, and noticed that the other 5 items I had in my cart at Safeway were all cheaper at Nob! Yay! read more

If I could do a negative 1 I would... whoever runs the butcher department at Safeway on Tennant obviously doesn't care about his job and it's sad that the store's management hasn't done anything about it yet. In the last month 5 out of 5 times that I've come the butcher is nowhere to be found... sadly I just need a few pieces of fish and they don't have it out on the floor... I waited 20 minutes even though some of the employees said he was on his 10 minute break yeah right this happens every time I go in it says someone is supposed to be there till 8 PM yet his coworkers say that he goes home at 6:30 every night hello does anyone care about this management anyone?? I would love to go to the Safeway on East Dunne that one is much better but my son is karate is right behind the store on Tennant so sadly I've had to go there instead... I really hope someone sees this review because I know I'm not the only one that has gone there I've ran into other customers that have said the same thing this person needs to be fired and they need to find someone who actually wants to work and make a buck!!! read more

I live a few hours away, but I was planning a very special occasion​ in Morgan Hill, WHERE I GREW UP. I tried to order a full sheet cake several times but the Bakery Department never picked up my call. I figured they were just really busy. When I finally got someone on the phone (she said her name was Tatiana) to place my order, she interrupted me while I was trying to explain what I wanted several times and was extremely rude. She claimed they could not take a phone order for a full sheet cake without a deposit. I told her I would happily give her my credit card number to charge the deposit​ since I live a few HOURS away. She said absolutely not and told me that they could not take the order unless I came down to the store in person. I asked if I could speak to a manager​ because the party was to honor someone in the Chamber of Commerce, she said there was no manager available. I tried to call back to speak to the store manager and was left on hold for eight minutes before I hung up. I called Nob Hill at Vineyard Town Center and spoke with Susie in their bakery department. Within three minutes she very politely took my order and was so sweet and friendly. She said a deposit was not necessary and she'd have my beautiful cake ready for our party. I am giving 1 star for the service at the deli. I went in today to order what I have ordered at every Safeway I have gone to from Morgan Hill to Saratoga. Never have I had an issue until now. I order a Chicken Chipotle Wrap customized to the way I like it. I order it with just the sauce, crispy chicken tenders and cheddar cheese. I like it warmed up and cut in half. Doesn't seem like a big deal am I right? Well this older lady decides that she should have it her way and not mine and give me a hard time about it. If you don't like your job I am sure there are people lining up that would gladly take it! First of all I am being extremely polite and saying please and thank you. I don't deserve to be treated this way. I asked for a chicken chipotle wrap and that I would like it with crispy chicken tenders. This woman already doesn't seem happy to help. She grabs the tenders and doesn't even cut them up! EVERY Safeway cuts them up before placing them in the wrap. Before I could say anything she is already placing pepper jack cheese on top! I have ALWAYS been asked what kind of cheese I would like and what else that's a part of the combo to add on. I say I am sorry but I don't want that cheese I would like cheddar cheese and to have the strips cut up as well. She decides to tell me off and say that I asked for a chipotle wrap and that's how the chipotle wrap goes!....ohh I'm sorry isn't it the customers choice? Isn't the customer always right? And what if I had certain allergies?!?! Anyways she does what I asked and then tried to add bacon. I say I don't want bacon I would just like it how it is and baked. She then tries to fight with me and says ok what are we making here then because this is how the chipotle wrap goes. Well I am not an idiot but that's bad customer service because I AM allowed to customize my meals! Then she had the audacity to say that what I made was a quesadilla!!!!! Are you kidding me?! I say uhhh that is not a quesadilla! She says ohh yes it is. So I tell her that I have always ordered it this way from every Safeway and that's what they call it. A CHICKEN CHIPOTLE WRAP. And I am here thinking that I know I am a white washed Mexican but hell I know how to make a quesadilla and that in no way is a quesadilla. How insulting! I think she needs some retraining on customer service! I have had some of the worst days in my life and I still came in with a smile and was extremely polite even when I was making my point. So I don't care what she's got up her butt! You don't need to treat your customers that way! I will never order from this location again because of her. Unlike most Starbucks, this one is unbelievably slow. I understand it is inside of Safeway, but this is unreal. The girl at the counter was so busy visiting with the person in front of us that we literally have already been waiting 10min. At the front of the line!!! For a cup of coffee!!!! I get being friendly, but this is ridiculous. There is another coffee shop in the parking lot that is far more efficient and the quality is on par with what you would expect. They never open enough checkstands in the evening. On Friday night I asked and they said they can only open 2 checkstands, no matter how many people are in line, no matter how many checkers (or managers) they have on staff. CRAZY. This Safeway has the worst produce. Every shopping trip I come home to find out that something was moldy, rotten on the inside or several days past it's prime. The other issue I have is that the baggers constantly put raw meat in the same bags with produce, which then contaminates the fruit or veggies that would be eaten raw. They also never have enough registers open so you can wait in line for 20 minutes. Every time I go in there I am disappointed, I have taken back so much produce and items where the expiration date has already passed. It's a shame because it is very close to my house but I will no longer shop there. read more

Safeway on Tenant Ave., Morgan Hill, Ca. Granddaughter in Play today and stopped here (not going to Nob Hill was my first mistake) to purchase doz of Pink Roses for her after play event. Pre bagged roses labeled 12 stems were selected, my 2nd mistake as I was in a hurry was not checking # of flowers in bag. At home preparing the Roses I noted there were only 9 stems with flowers plus 2 stems cut off and missing their flowers. Call to Safeway, they offered to replace the bunch. Explaining time was a factor and could not do this and wanted someway to have a refund for missing flowers when I came in again. Told to bring back the flowers for exchange. Not a satisfactory answer so my actions will be to shop at Safeway in the Almaden Valley as I routinely am in that area. Approx. money spent at this Safeway weekly is at least $50. I will increase my purchases at Nob Hill (their Gluten Free inventory and quality is far superior to Safe Way!!!!!). read more

love dis safeway. the workers there are so nice it makes me all happy inside. i shop there every day and i love it. whenever i go in theres this one girl. i wish i knew her name. shes mexican and on the shorter side but shes so adorable. shes so nice and very helpful. when i go in at night theres this one courtesy clerk that you can tell works hard and he is just so funny. these two workers are the reason i go back. five stars for being an awesome place to shop. read more
