Service with a smile, not here. The Produce seems to be hit and miss as far as freshness and quality. The Meat department is alright, but the fish department is hit and miss just like the produce dept. If they would educate their cashiers on how to be social and friendly that would improve the score. Finding assistance can be a nightmare, I feel like they have cut back on staffing. read more

The meat dept had NY strips bone-in on sale this last week. If you can find any in the tiny designated area your lucky. This last week I tried three times midday and found the spot empty, full of other cuts or wafer thin, and finally the last try they were there but had 1.5" of fat around the outside. So ridiculous I had to take pictures. Must not have a proper butcher on hand. It was full because nobody would buy such a ridiculous deal. They also don't properly place the sale signs with the products. Sloppy marketing and poor service from this department. Tried to get the two guys attention for several minutes. Sorry guys for interrupting your conversation. Sam's just lowered their beef prices so it's now worth the drive. read more

The team here is always super helpful and really seem to go the extra mile to either find something, make sure you get the best price or make recommendations. Random side note: I have noticed that their milk has a much longer expiration date than other stores which allows me to save money and get the 1 gallon. read more

I have been going to this pharmacy for the past 16 years. Their high quality and fast service is consistent. Additionally they are very courteous and friendly. Whenever I have a script that I need to fill for my boys, whether it be for their wisdom teeth removal, or when they were much younger, for maybe an ear infection, they answered any questions I had no matter how wacky they were (e.g. I'll go ahead and fill the prescription, but once I get home, do they *really* have to take the drugs?). They also recently have been doing some remodeling. I didn't take the time to check out the specifics, but it looks like they are expanding the area to maybe be able to provide some additional health services there. Will update it whenever I get a chance to get more details. :) In the meantime, happy script filling! read more

One of the worst grocery stores of all time - always buy fruit, milk or bread that goes bad within a day and they NEVER have stuff in stock. Cheerios? Nope. Asparagus? Nope. Blue Cheese Crumbles? Sometimes if you ask they have them in the back, but not always. Get a new manager or owner. read more

I have been a loyal customer of this pharmacy for over 10 years. In the past they have been great. Now, I would give this pharmacy a 0 if I could. They have been shorting me on my medications for months. When I called them on it they acted like I was taking too many. Finally I figured out they were only giving me 24 tablets instead of 45 for each month. When I called to point out the discrepancy- again they didn't want to take responsibility. When I went in to pick up the medication a few days later - it wasn't ready. Today , after another 2 days - again they tried to blame me - stating that the medication wasn't ready ( even though the clerk had the bottle of pills I. Her hand) and she made me wait 15 min while she waited on other customers. I appreciate that with staffing shortages waits may be longer- but this pharmacy is not only rude but DANGEROUS! read more

This was once a very good store with friendly and helpful employees, reasonable prices and always well stocked, but sadly that's not the case any more. Finding help in the store's center aisles is almost impossible, although the produce and meat departments fare a little better. Prices are high compared to King Soopers and Sprouts. Advertised items are often out of stock and the carts are filthy looking, but that's been a problem for years. Just one anecdote to illustrate what I mean: I was at another store in the shopping center and needed to buy two yellow onions. Picked them out and checked the shelf tag to confirm they were 99 cents a lb. Went to checkout (I hate Safeway's self-checkout, but that's another story) and the cashier rang them up as sweet yellow onions at $1.29 a lb. I pointed out her error and she looked at me like I was a thief. She started to look up the price in the book she had stashed next to the register, decided it wasn't worth her time and gave me an extra quarter in change and said "so that should cover it." It didn't, but I decided not to bother arguing with her. I'm just not going back. read more

I would say the floral department is probably the worst. So many dying plants. I am actually great at reviving plants on their "last leg" but unfortunately, that's not an option for the plants here. I choose a few that were wilted and drying and took them to the lady working at the counter. I asked her if she could offer a discount on the ones I had chosen and she abruptly just grabbed them away, said no and threw them behind the counter. So sad. If they aren't going to take care of them, or let their customers do it, perhaps they should just order less. The cashiers are beyond annoyed with their job . It shows through with their customer service. I also run a non profit that supports teachers. I have made three requests for donations and have been turned down every time. No real community connections here. Unfortunately, this place is very close to my house so I will most likely be back for short trips but if you live around this store, I would recommend a short drive to the King Soopers on Broadway. One shout out would be ( the reason for the extra star) AWESOME clearance selections in all departments. read more

This is a perfectly fine Safeway location. It's clean, spacious, and the employees are great. I stopped shopping here once I realized that many items are $1 or more cheaper at Target. It's a shame, because Safeway's selection is so much better. For example, if you hit up the cracker aisle at Target, you'll get a few of the biggest, most obvious options; but at Safeway, you can find the smaller brands as well. Sometimes I have to stop at both Target and Safeway to fill in all the gaps on my list, but hey, what can I say? Money talks. I save every week by shopping at Target instead. Sad but true. read more

I feel bad for all the teens that work here because they have to work with all the adults who seem to hate their lives and have terrible attitude/customer service skills. The only good service ive recieved here was from the teenagers and young adults who actually seem like they want to help you. Derek in the Deli department is wonderful. He went out of his way to cook more of my favorite wings while I waited and then checked me out at the deli counter so I wouldn't have to go wait in line. Very friendly and welcoming! read more

This is absolutely the worst service and pharmacy I have ever been to. Not only did it take two days for them to get my prescription filled, but they didn't have any of their stuff together and I had to wait both times for more than 15 minutes... It was if they were brand-new and didn't know what they were doing behind the counter... The pharmacist even had ask if I was okay with the price on my prescription with a coupon... I didn't care I just wanted to get my prescription no matter what the price was. You're better off sending your prescriptions and filling them at the Walgreens across the street or at the King Soopers pharmacy five minutes away. read more

I visited this store on 10/3/2019 and I drove away very upset over how I was treated by the checkout staff. I have to echo the sentiments and remarks of several other reviewers of this location - this is the absolute worst customer service I have ever encountered, anywhere! I used the self checkout lane and as usual the it keep locking up on me with the red light and required staff assistance to reset it which really upset the head checker and another checker. The first time it happened the other checker came over in a huff and snapped at me. She told me that if I press that I am using my own bag that it will reset itself. When I explained to her that I did, she became even more irate with me and told me that I didn't do it fast enough! I then said you sound like your all stressed out and mad at me to which she replied that she had had to work nonstop without a bathroom break for several hours. The machine froze up on me again two minutes later and then the head checker/management type lady came over and was even more rude than the first checker. I could tell by her angry irritated attitude this was not going to be a pleasant exchange either. I said to her that I don't think this machine likes me very much today to which she angrily responded that I didn't have my bags properly positioned on the bag area and went on to move and slam my bags into submission. I then stated that, well, I guess it's all my fault then to which she didn't even respond and then walked off without a word! I have lived right across the street from this HR Safeway for 16 years, have all my PLU's memorized and I always use the self checkout and regardless of what you do it never scans all your groceries without intermittent freeze ups. From now on I will take the advice of others and drive down the street to King Soopers. I can deal with the glitchy self checkouts; I can't and should not be expected to deal with the bitchy help! read more

Within walking distance, everyone in the store is always so friendly! It smells fantastic in the store each time, love the fresh produce and food. 2014 was my first time shopping at Safeway always so great to go in there, but I'd say mainly if you need little things very princely lol. read more

If there is less than one star I would've chosen it . This branch sell rotten products and they refuse to return it even With a receipt . Around 820 pm I bought three bags of chestnut got home roasted them and They were rotten literally green and yellow inside . Went back an hour after to return them there was three employees who saw the disgusting product and still won't return the whole thing because I didn't bring the three bags I just brought two bags back but the amount of chestnut is the same but without one more bag " stupid "They were looking at the receipt and the products but won't return the whole thing . They need to pull that stuff off the shelf and not sell it to the public . I am not sure if one of them was a manager or not . But the whole experience is bad just like the rotten chestnut. WILL NOT SHOP THERE AGAIN !!!! read more

This Safeway used to be my favorite place to go but tonight things were unacceptable. I was trying to go through the self checkout but I had two items that did not ring up correctly. When I asked about it the clerk said that he did not know the correct price. So I went back to where I got them and took a picture of the sales card. He really did not want to go to the effort of trying to calculate the 20 cents a pound difference and when I asked if he wanted me to not purchase them he said "Whatever". I have never been treated so rudely at a retail store. My girlfriend refuses to go to this Safeway because she does not like how they treat her. Bottom line, I left (so I would not say anything) and purchased the same items at King Soopers. Safeway you have plenty of competitors. read more
