This location is the closest to where I live now so it has become my default grocery store and place to pick up quick snacks on the way home from wherever. It's a pretty standard layout compared to other Safeway stores although it definitely feels smaller. Either way, they have everything I need and organized in a way that is familiar and easy to find. Service in the deli area and checkout lanes has been good during all of my visits here. read more

Super rude checkers, nothing is the same price it's advertised as, and they make sure to pack your paper grocery bags full of 30 pounds of groceries! The 5 stars is for the gas station: clean, well-lit, and open 24 hours. But the topper? I went today to fill up and it was CHEAPER THAN COSTCO. I know, right???...especially considering that it costs your firstborn to fill up a tank of gas. I would give this store zero stars if I could. They never have more than 2 cashiers working even though there's 7 registers. Prices are almost never the same as advertised. ( Which I have Been ). On June 23. I Filled several cans, Of gas for my tractors. R/T, Wrote out a Check . As I have Done For the past 20 Years at that station. And ( I am Friendly With Margie The Manager Nice Person . I thought) The check was Rejected By The Check machine. They said I had written Out to many Checks. 6 in the Past two weeks.. Well The station Manager Margie. Has the Ability To over ride the rejection And Clear the check. She Refused To Do That. I went to the Safeway store on 155 and Aurora. Wrote out a check It cleared. Went Back up the station. She refused to clear the Check, Went down To the store 175 and 15 NE. The store Manager Heather. A Queen of a Lady. took the check and Cashed it. As I have several rentals . Some of which are located In ND. I have to do a Lot of Prep. Travel Shopping..., . But the Bottom Line is. After Being a Loyal Safeway customer For Many years And Be treated Like that. , By Margie. This is my go to grocery store. The Store that gets my bucks. Safeway has by far the best prices of any grocery store ( besides walmart, but Im not driving to marysville to shop for food). It is really clean, well stocked and the bakery is always prepared with a cookie for my kids! The Staff is super nice and even though it is smaller and sometimes alittle bit busier than most stores I have been in most everyone has a smile on their face and a " Hi how ya doin" for you! read more

The grocery checkers are all clinically insane (except for the tall front end manager), the employees that constantly say "hello" are insensere and NO I don't need help carrying my russet potato and breakfast sausage to my car. The produce is overpriced and generally not good. The only time I look at the meat is when the BOGO special catches my eye otherwise way overpriced. Pro's: the gas station is clean, convenient and priced well for the area. Con's: the store itself has narrow aisles, a very small selection of produce, and more than once I've discovered errors on my receipt after arriving at home (such as one item being scanned twice or the checker forgetting to give me the stamps I've purchased). Unless you need fuel, go to the Top Foods down the street; it's much cleaner, organized and larger. read more

Hidden in the back is a nice little pharmacy that was perfect to go to for a flu shot. No line, no hassle, they took my insurance and I was in and out in less than 10 minutes. I really appreciate that convenience as well as the fact that their gas pumps are really easy to navigate around. As others have stated, I've been to other, bigger stores of the same brand but overall, this one has been good and I always enjoy it that most of the time the clerks at this store actually smile. read more

I have to start off my saying that this is my first review on any business...EVER! It really takes a lot to get me upset but this last visit was it. I can't believe how little customer service seems to mean to most of the employees there. The only reason I give it 2-stars is because of how friendly and helpful the women in the bakery are. The first time I had a bad experience was because of the woman at the pharmacy telling me I could not purchase my very small amount of other items along with my prescription. I understand if there is produce in my basket or you have a long line of people, but nope, no produce and no line what-so-ever. The second time I was paying for my groceries and I mentioned to the female cashier that I had the odd amount of change too after handing her my $20 bill so I could receive back even change. She continued to cash out my purchase with just the $20 as if she didn't hear me and when the change came out of the machine and I voiced my response of "or not", she told me I was welcome to put the change in the charity box next to change machine if I "didn't want it". She obviously heard me say I had the change or she wouldn't have know how to respond when I said "or not". Not only was I insulted, but upset at how blatantly rude she was about it. The least she could have done was apologize and let me know she didn't hear me. At least that's what someone with some manners would do, let alone someone who is getting paid to be in the "customer service" industry. This last visit today, I was just finishing up my lunch break which was spent helping someone who just ran out of gas down the road. I had 10 minutes left of my hour break and we decided to go get more gas there and some quick lunch at the deli so I could eat it on my drive back to work. I tried to pay for our deli food and a loaf of bread at the register located by the sandwich-making area. One of the two women standing there making sandwiches informed me that if we want to pay there, we have to wait a few minutes. I simply think if you have a register there, have someone working the register, especially during lunch hour. So we attempted to wait in line at one of the two main registers open with lines curving around to the grocery aisles. I look over and the woman at the deli is ringing up another gentleman so we head back to the deli check out since it'd be way faster and I have 5 minutes to get back to work 20 blocks up 15th. I normally wouldn't say anything but I asked the woman if it would've really hurt to stop and take 30 seconds and cash us out before as no one was waiting. She replied that she has 3 minutes to make a sandwich, which I would think the other woman there could have handled it alone for a short time as the person wanting the sandwich was somewhere else in the store getting other things. My main frustration with this is that there were two people making sandwiches and one of them could have easily removed their gloves and quickly rung us up. If it were just her there, I would be way more understanding. It would've made a world of difference to me and probably helped keep me as a customer. She did apologize as we were quickly trying to leave, which I did appreciate. I will continue to shop at Safeway, but I will not visit this location again. Although Safeway is my go-to store and this one being the closest to my work AND where I live. I hope this review not only helps other customers choose where to go for their groceries, etc. but I mainly hope to help improve the employees. This is the closest grocery store by my house & its convienant. but these past 2 years i have just watched safeway become a not so good grocery store. My first stop u get my coffee at the starbucks kiosk it used to be fine but the new manager has rehired all new ppl except 2 of them. the only reason why i still go is because of those 2 girls. but recently i found out one of them left so i wont be going back because all it is, is pppl hanging around talking about the co-workers in horibble ways. when it comes to checking they rarly have enough people. i stand in line longer then i do my grocery shopping. so yes they sell food at decent prices, but ill go the extra mile or 2 for the local QFC. sorry safeway , it was nice while it lasted. read more

Purgatory is the word that comes to mind. Sad to say this this is consistently the worst grocery store I go to. There are never enough checkers. Today's call out for "all checkers" yielded a grand total of 2 for a line that was snaking through the store. The electronics systems seem painfully slow -- maybe still on dial-up modem? The store is so close to us, but so annoying I'd rather drive over to central market or PCC in Edmonds if at all possible. The one saving grace: they do stock a lot of organics at good prices. read more

The gas attendant is totally rude and incompidant. I had picked up a application form for a Safeway card last time I was in and they told me to return it next time I got gas. First he said he couldn't take it then he said he would have to walk it down to the store and might lose it. What kind of service is this? Don't walk away without a receipt. I had a small purchase, including 2 Fuji apples. The male cashier asked if I wanted a receipt at the end of the transaction. I thought that was strange, but I did want it. After getting home I noticed he'd charged me for another type of apple which must have been the most expensive one they carried. The apples also did not have the "cum clean" stickers on them, identifying the type, but he could have asked me if he wasn't sure what type it was. He didn't. read more

I don't usually go by this store but was in the area and needed to pick up groceries anyways. I purchased a sweet n sour chicken at the deli, brought my groceries and headed home. I went to eat my chicken and there was no sauce just breaded chicken. When I called the manager I was told I could drive the 20 mins back to pick some up. I asked if I was suppose to request the sauce and was told yes since some people don't like it. Why would I think to order sauce when I ordered sweet n sour chicken. I wouldn't go back. read more

UPDATE: This store HAS been remodeled. That frustrates me even more. Apparently they just did the remodel wrong. Half the store is a the flower department and the fish counter is about 5 feet wide. I am exaggerating only slightly about the flower department to make a point. There is no meat counter and the fish counter is about 5 feet wide with all the fish touching. I will say, however, the fact they did not find a way to include self-checkout is probably the thing that I hate the most about this store. When I asked about it, they said they chose to do a Starbucks instead. NO. I've never seen every checkstand open. I have seen other stores that have put self-checkout up front or found a way to do it. This store is the worst Safeway out there. read more

I usually dread going to this Safeway but after my last experience I will never return. Every department though out the store was worse and worse. Produce was horrible, empty, rotten, no one in sight to assist. Meat department was identical, when I did find someone their answer was "no we are out". No recommendations for a substitute, didn't say when there would be more, and no apologies. I made it to the bakery, every basket was empty, when I asked for more garlic bread I was told to buy French bread and the tub of garlic spread they sell. After pressing more the baker decided to make me and the 4 other people asking some garlic bread. The deli is the worst. Rude, not knowledgable, or helpful. Check out is understaffed, rude, and The limes end up half way down the aisles. Very disappointing as I will only shop at Safeway and I have no problem going out of my way to never go back to this store. read more
