This review is for Mel. Mel was kind in helping me with my shopping experience. I was having a bad day because I could not find hominy anywhere for the holidays. The store only had the small oz, and Mel offered to see if they had the 110oz in the back. Safeway - Grocery Near Me - Snohomish, Washington

I live close to this Safeway, so I stop by once in a while just for a few items, mostly produce, as they have very poor inventory(they blame this being smaller store than other Safeways??). I have to warn people, be careful when purchasing items, especially produce at this Safeway, as they keep overcharging me or they try. In the past, I had to return items with my receipt for the manager to review, as they charged me double the price in the past, what I didn't realize, until I got home. Today it happened again, when I stopped around 4 pm to get some grapes and peaches. Both were on sale $2.99 lb(still too high), but I got about 1lb each. The gum chewing woman cashier tried to overcharge me. When I pointed out the member price for her, she tried to explain her "mistake" with a stupid excuse, how she "accidently" pushed the coupon price, not the member price. I am so fed up with their cheating, need to warn people to watch them like a hawk, or they will be overcharged. At today's prices we pay enough, but this store is so greedy, they keep overcharging customers. I don't know, if being a cashier at this store is a requirement for cheating, because I see a very large turnover. Probably the more honest ones are leaving. read more

I have been accepted a few doordash requests from this location and I want to share some of my experiences. Pros: Stores are pretty neat and tidy, helpful staff at the meat/poultry and bakery departments. Grocery locators are really a nice spot for those who in need of searching. Cons: Not too fancy about the middle isle shelves as they usually half emptied/disorganized. Found broken wrapped towels at the self chekout stand. Not a whole lot of the cashiers follow the pandemic protocols. And they could complaining how low the wages are all day long. I mean, you don't say those stuff in front of customers. That's a minus. Overall, mediocre Safeway among all Safeway stores. Just a regular go-to store with nothing too great about it. read more

I shopped at this Safeway today about 4:30 pm. As I entered the store, night manager Jeff was stocking the large produce display that sits to the right of the self checkout registers. Since the display was being stocked, there was no signage up displaying the price. When I asked night manager Jeff what the price was of the grapes he was placing in the display, he simply stated "I don't know." This person is a manager!?! You need further training on your customer service skills, Jeff. read more

Review is specifically for the Deli department. Stopped here to grab some quick bites for the group. There was only one guy working at that time - it was around 6.30 in the evening. He was super cool; took his time and gave us the salads and chicken we were ordered. Unlike some of the other safeways, he was genuinely good and friendly. Great service! read more

4 stars because I want this Safeway to thrive. It's been here forever and a Snohomish classic. 1 star off for Karra or Tarra, whatever her name is. No customer service whatsoever. It's pretty bad when the checker doesn't say hi, I ASK HER how she's doing, she says "tired," and doesn't ask me how I'm doing back. Then I say thank you and have a great night. She says nothing. I have a disabled daughter that got hired on my Safeway in Snohomish and when she went through the interview process - we told them she was disabled, can only work 4 hours shifts no more than 4 days per week, during the week, and they HIRED her. Oh, but wait. She goes through all of their mandatory training, and on her first day actually working, she kicked butt and did a terrific job. Safeway managers (Rita, Lorraine, Debra) told her not to come back because she can't work 8-hr shifts and they don't offer part-time. I say BS! If anyone can tell me how to get a hold of Corporate, I'd very much appreciate it. Every phone number I call from looking them up on the internet I get automated crap, never get a person. She was so excited to work there, worked hard during all of their training, and did amazing her first actual day. Safeway management in Snohomish disgusts me! Don't Shop There!!! read more

Like probably everyone, I am used to hit-or-miss customer service with grocery chain stores. I just moved to Snohomish, and can't miss going to Safeway to get some of their deals. I've been here several times now, and I will say that even for a smaller store, they always seem to keep the shelves stocked and the layout makes sense. Hot item sale stuff out clearly where everyone wants it, and it is kept well-stocked. However, my main reason why I'm writing this review today is that I was really impressed by a cashier named Brian. I was there at the awful rush hour time of day when everyone's there, and he was polite and fast. He made the line move quick and got everyone out of there as fast as he could. I already called in to let the manager know, but wanted to make sure I put it here on yelp since that's what all the cool kids are doing these days :) read more

I, along with my family, friends and their families will not be shopping here again until things change. Haggens and Fred Meyer's customers are lawful and wear masks. Safeway does not care and does not enforce the law. I even saw two employees come in before their shifts without masks. It is so disrespectful and shows what we, as customers, mean to them. Does Safeway know they will be closed down if people like me show their concern? Between this and the crabby cashiers, which I know why, we're all done. read more

I have been shopping at the Snohomish Safeway for many years. I know many of the long term cashiers and they are the best. However I feel like in the last few years the store has really been failing in quality. The produce is not fresh anymore. Bagged salads always brown, fruit fries on tomatoes and department dirty. Deli has different employees each time I shop. They are not well trained. Bakery employees don't seem to care anymore. Store is always out of items I regularly purchase. Today (not the first time) my gallon of milk had a leak and puddled on the floor of my vehicle. I bought a cherry pie. It was a horrible mess from overcooked to overly sweet. I'll be returning both tomorrow. I'm mostly mad at corporate. Seems they have abandoned the Snohomish store and put all their resources into Lake Stevens and Puget Park. I'll be writing them and letting them know my feeling! read more

The prices at this Safeway are ridiculous!! Their regular produce is more expensive than Fred Meyers organic. And their 'deals' are stupid. All over the store today it was 'this really expensive price ...unless you buy 5'. Really?! Who buys 5 boxes of cereal at a time? Safeway, you are contributing to the obesity problem. Also, when are you going to stop making people use your Club card to get deals? You are the only one that does this anymore and the other stores use you as an example of what NOT to be. If you want to catch COVID you will have a better chance at this location. The door monitor is wearing a mask with her nose out. Might as well not bother, and because she is positioned at the one and only exit entrance you have to walk past her. I asked her about store policy regarding customers that don't wear their masks correctly (hoping that she would get the hint) . She says the store can't control how people wear their masks. Does this mean I could wear it as an armband?? Anyway, I do my shopping and am standing in line watching her with her useless mask hung under her nose. I got checked out and as I am leaving the store I told her to put her mask over her nose and she got confrontational. I will not be shopping there again. I will start by saying that I have been coming here twice weekly for the last year since we moved to Snohomish. I had always been a great experience, however today that was not the case. I got my shopping done no problem, found all the things I needed...great. Went to check out, there was a lady with a large order in front of me, no big deal I can answer a few emails while I wait in line. When it was my turn the cashier, a old cranky lady named Deb; did not even acknowledge me until she was part way through my order. Then when I asked for paper bags she said well it's too late now, in a really rude tone. Then she angrily bagged the rest of my items, smashing my eggs, bread, protein bars and most of my produce. So I spent about $90 on groceries, I am pissed that I have to throw most of it away and now go back to the store to get new food. This cashier was also extremely rude to the woman in front of me in line; as someone who works in the customer service industry and manages a large staff, I would not employee this woman, she is bad for business and clearly doesn't enjoy her job. We won't be shopping here any longer, as it is wasteful to throw away food due to the careless of the one seeking it to you. read more

Very disappointed in the deli department. I bought a bucket of chicken and some joe joes. The joe joes were extremely hard. The chicken was not fresh. It seems like both were sitting all day. I'm going to assume that the deli does not serve fresh food. I will not be a returning customer. read more

I have been a Safeway customer for many years. Recently moved from Lk.Stevens to Snohomish. I have yet to run across an employee that wasn't cheery and helpful. Thank you for the great customer service.You may not have the biggest Safeway but your service keeps me coming there instead of the larger store across the street that ticked me off the very first time I tried them. I feel weird reviewing a grocery story, but a young man when well out of his way to help me out. I wanted to remember his name, and of course I forgot, Nathan maybe? Anyways he asked if I wanted help and I said no thanks. Later he saw me staring blankly at some items and came over to help again. Couldn't find the sale item I was looking for so gave me the sale price on the same item different brand. Not a big deal, but I appreciate the excellent customer service and because of him, and the fact that I found Safeways club card "coupons" online, we have started shopping here instead of Haggens. Wanted to use this location to use a clean bathroom in this area. When we went in we had bought sodas. When we had went into the restroom it had looked like there was pee everywhere and the smell was intolerable. It was so incredibly disgusting. I am aware that bathrooms are suppose to have a cleaning log. Once I had found the cleaning log it had said it had not been cleaned since November. Be aware of this at this location. read more
