Today I ordered home delivery from my favorite Safeway Store in Towson . The lol

Today I ordered home delivery from the Towson Safeway Store . I took advantage of the free delivery promotion . My food came in a couple of hours and was fresh and well packaged . The driver did a good job lugging the bags to my door .

So I got steamed shrimp from their seafood counter... which they must have steamed for an hour or do. Most overcooked, leathery shrimp i've ever seen.

Expired lunchable that I bought on 11/9

I cannot tell you the amount of times I've purchased something from Safeway and that week, at home, found out it was +2 month expired. These people have no respect for their shoppers and clearly do not monitor their supply for safety. I've bottom expired ranch, cream cheese, lunchables. And if you order your groceries ahead for pick up, they go out of their way to give you the stuff that's about to expire. I had 2 separate things of bagels that molded IN TWO DAYS. DISGUSTING!!

Picked up this rotisserie chicken for dinner on 5/28 , came home to find it raw

Picked up this rotisserie chicken for dinner on 5/28 at around 530, it had just came out from the deli. Came home to find it still very much raw (see pic). Called customer service to let them know as I'm sure many people were picking up rotisserie chicken for their families for dinner and this is clearly unsafe. The lady on the phone just said can you bring it back in- no apologie or shock like this has happened multiple times. Highly concerning.

i purchase the bread pudding frequently and it is always moist and great. Today it's as dry as a sea sponge

If you are in the Towson area near the lunch hour be sure to stop by this particular Safeway location. I absolutely love the wing bar for a quick lunch. I am in sales so I don't have a lot of time to spend so I grab some baked chicken with a few wings and I love it. They have a variety of wings but I like the spicy hot ones. This location is really convenient because the beltway is only one half mile away. Give it a try you fellow wing eating fanatics

Terrible service. Inconsistent attendance at self checkout. Understaffed or no staff at customer service. Go elsewhere!

They regularly sell expired or near-expired items (as in 1 day). I showed the stock personnel about a popular pasta-based meal kit that was more than a week past expiration and they left it on the shelf, I spotted a day later. 2. Make sure the advertisement sign matches what you are buying - they do shady things like moving the items over from the sale tag so you are confused. 3. Check your receipt. These guys are tricksters and sheisters and will swap out items at every chance. At times I have found more than 50% inaccuracies on my receipt. Of course, I have to wait forever in a line to contest with customer service. 4. Worst beef E-V-E-R. Been cooking beef for30+ years - these animals are not well. Inedible & rock tough no matter how you cook, and zero flavor. Subpar distributors/farmers. Go to GIANT. 5. Beware of shopping here. I am not sure how they have not been shut down by OSHA/FDA.

I like the international foods section where they have Goya products (I prefer the calamari in marinara) ! I also tried 2 ginger 'shots' (1 of which I tried while I was on the bench inside the Giant) while I was and they were very spicy ! ...But good lol. They also carry Rao's products! I happened upon a security guard inside the Giant and I confirmed he carried a gun (because I think I saw it as I walked in). It turns out he is an employee of a private security firm that won business with Giant and he is armed due to his private security firm 'allowance'? He said he also 'carried' all the time off of work. I was shocked that he was armed in Giant (a grocery store!) and said something of the sort. I think it 'overlord' to carry a gun in a grocery store. If this is the case across the country why are they possibly arresting, beating, shooting people maybe for 'stealing/shoplifting' a little bit of food or baby products! Maybe people have no money and need a little assistance while maintaining their freedom and maybe they have a brother who would pay the bill... all humans need to eat but first and foremost they need cash to live. I wonder if this armed security guard(s) have ever given cash to the homeless... anyway totally weird, Giant and security firm (company) ! They are scaring everyone! And they are not kind. Does giant have any food programs or farmers markets ?? What a horrendous company making millions and millions for themselves!!!!!!!!!!!!

What I do use Eddie's for is there emphasis on local items as well as their fancy cakes. I prefer this location as I have had much better luck dropping in and finding specific cake flavors and like that there is an actual parking lot versus a tiny garage. I will purchase local kombucha, coffee and vegan ice cream sometimes at Eddie's. I like the selection they have, especially of Zeke's coffee and Wild Bay kombucha. For the bakery, I go to Eddie's because they have slightly fancier cakes that can be picked up at any time (don't need to pre-order). Of course, you can pre-order, which is advisable, because you never know what they will have in stock. For my wife's last birthday, I grabbed a raspberry and chocolate cake which the bakery employee offered to write a message on at no extra charge. What a cool service! Eddie's has a decent selection of gluten free and vegan items. I will peruse them but don't usually purchase because of the price point. Anyways, Eddie's is cool and I will definitely continue to visit on special occasions. The prices keep it from being a regular grocery destination.
