Newly opened Saffron nail salon, it is airy and impeccably clean, and the staff are exceptionally welcoming. I booked a classic pedicure alongside a dip‑powder manicure. While I didn't get to test the chair's massage feature, the pedicure seat is spacious, comfortable, and even includes a handy charging dock. The variety of shades of colors....so many options it was almost overwhelming! I opted for a dip‑powder finish and topped it off with a striking chrome accent. Unfortunately we won't be going back to this nail salon. My daughter typically had used Brenda (we had been twice before ). I called to make appointment with Brenda so my daughter could get 3d flower designs for our upcoming vacation. Was told Brenda was on vacation but Kim could do 3d design. So booked with Kim (and I did ask 3x when making appointment about the 3d design ) and the gentleman on the phone assured me. Well we got to the appointment and NOPE Kim could not do the 3d design and none of the technicians could either. They lied to me to get that booking knowing they could not accommodate our request. I was honestly nervous about finding a new nail tech after moving to Richmond. I had been seeing the same tech for 8 years (shoutout to Monica at Polish n Refine in West Roxbury, MA!), and she had become a dear friend who always did an incredible job. It sounds dramatic but was really one of my hardest goodbyes in leaving Boston! I'm so glad I found Mia at Saffron Lounge. I've only been once so far, but Mia did a fantastic job on my builder gel nails--they look beautiful, clean, and well-shaped. She also worked incredibly efficiently, finishing my builder gel fill in about 45 minutes without ever feeling rushed. The salon itself is calm and welcoming, which immediately put me at ease. They offer complimentary water and fruit cups, which felt like such a thoughtful touch. The polish color selection is excellent, and Rebecca at the front desk was warm, friendly, and made the whole experience feel easy from the moment I walked in. As a bonus, Saffron Lounge is a new salon and super convenient to my new apartment, which makes it even better. The salon offers a wide variety of nail colors. However, it left me lacking in terms of atmosphere and the outcome of my manicure. I went in for a gel manicure with design and while the nails look good from the top, the edges are rough and it looks like I'm wearing acrylics. I also didn't get the hot towels or massage that's offered in their standard manicure session (I did receive $5.00 off for this). The salon was very quiet when we entered, with maybe one other person receiving a nail service. I was told that I would need to wait because they were very busy, which was fine. I took the time to look for colors and while I did, the only sound I could hear was the receptionist crunching on a taco at the front desk. It didn't give a sense of professionalism. I wouldn't recommend coming here if you are looking for quality service and a relaxing space. read more

Am currently having one of the best mani/pedis ever, of my entire life, with Tracy. I made an appt for the Collagen Mani and Collagen Pedi. I also made a special request for manicure first which was graciously accommodated. I was greeted with a big smile and glass of lemon water and fruit cup to nibble on during my appointment. Tracy was SO nice and so easy to talk to and always smiling. My nails look beautiful, I wish I lived here so I could come back again and again. Highly recommend, wonderful service and the lounge is impeccably clean and modern. My overall experience is a 10/10! read more

First time visiting Saffron Nail Lounge, and had a fantastic experience. I used their very simple to use online booking system to schedule an appointment for a set of builder gel nails with a manicure and a Saffron Glow and Steam Pedicure. The nail technician I booked with is Mia ( based on her excellent reviews on Yelp). The salon is beautiful and just opened a few weeks ago. Unfortunately, the nail station was dirty, but the tools appeared to be sanitized, so I was more at ease. Mia helped me select colors for the mani and pedi, and her input was perfect. I loved both selections. Mia did an incredible job with my nails and they are beautiful. It was my first gel nail experience, so I appreciate her patience and kind demeanor. The pedicure was a luxurious experience, and at $100, definitely a treat yourself moment , but well worth it! The pedicure included a warm neck wrap, steam, extended massage with lotions and oils, hot stone massage, paraffin treatment, and mask. My feet have never felt so pampered and are baby soft! I will definitely be back and encourage you to try them! I only have a couple of constructive feedback comments: nail stations could be cleaner, Mia seemed to rush through the service until near the end when she seemed to slow down and relax more, she also seemed fairly distracted with her phone and other happenings in the salon, as well. I also was not offered a choice of beverage as is stated on the website. I was provided a glass of water and a fruit cup. Very nice and appreciated, but would have preferred a choice of beverage.
