My eyebrows were literally hurting afterward because she took off so much of my natural brow hair. When I asked for a refund, Titi told me she wasn't giving me my money back because I didn't want her or another tech to "fix" my brows -- even though more threading would've made the damage worse. I've had good experiences with other techs here, but I do not recommend Titi. She ruined my eyebrows and refused to give me my money back.

I could have called, but the spa opened at 9am, and I didn't want to make a phone call in the car knowing I will be there soon. When I tried to check in, the front desk associate Kirstan Fournier berated me for being late. She said that I was unacceptably late, that Elena has a full day ahead, and that she doesn't know if Elena can accommodate me so they would have to take a no-show fee (which is my deposit). I was very apologetic and said I understood if I needed to reschedule. At this point, Elena came out and said that she could fit me in, but instead of trusting the Master Aesthetician's judgment, Kirstan said, "We will see what Elena can do, it is stated in your clauses that there is a no show fee and you obviously can't read or be on time." The reason why I was very upset is primarily because of the "you obviously can't read" comment. As an Asian woman, this sentence felt distinctly racially motivated. I sat in the spa treatment feeling humiliated and agitated. I reached out to management a few hours later, and the manager Maya told me "I'm sorry you misunderstood what Kirstan had said, we are not a business that allow discrimination." So it is the whole i'm sorry you feel this way, but it's your fault for not understanding correctly, our staff didn't do anything wrong, it's all on you for mishearing and misunderstanding. When I asked for a logical explanation i.e. would you (other staff) remember something was not said to you but just as a surrounding conversation half a day ago? She had no answer for me. I am very disappointing in lack of responsibility the manager & staff are taking. All I wanted was an apology and they told me I imagined the whole thing. TEXTBOOK GASLIGHTING. This is even more disturbing than the previous incident. The business is not willing to take responsibility but rather denies all wrong doings.

I really loved having her do my lashes, but the distance made it necessary for me to find someone in the area to do my lashes if I wanted to continue having them done. I used Yelp to find luxe lashes. I booked an appointment with Anastasia. My first two times at luxe were a great experience, had no issues with the lashes. The third appointment was on Dec 23rd. It honestly seemed sorta short, I was wondering how my lashes were done so quickly. Well by the morning of Christmas, I realized all of my lashes were coming out. It was crazy- they were literally falling out in clumps in the middle of me talking to my patients! Which was sorta embarrassing. By the next morning they were almost completely gone, only the amount I had before the fill was left. I called luxe to ask what could be done. I was offered a free appointment for my lashes to get redone. I was leaving the area that day, and wouldn't be back until after the holidays, which was the whole reason I got my lashes done. After that I was scheduled for two months of 80hr work wks so I really didn't need lashes for that. Explained my situation and asked for a refund. By this point, it was clear no wanted to remedy my situation. I had to keep calling. Eventually I got in touch with the owner. Our whole convo I felt that she was accusing me of being the reason the lashes fell out (i.e. asking me if I showered or cried). However at the end of the convo she said she would refund me. The next day I was back home for the holidays. My friend looked at my lashes and said they had fallen out because they were placed way too far out on my lashes, and not enough glue was used. She removed the few left for me .... It's been over two weeks since then. I've called 2-3x to ask where my refund is. Refunds don't take over two weeks. I still feel like I'm being blamed for a bad lash job, and I feel that luxe cares more about money than making sure they do a good job.
