Unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing and put a real damper on what should have been an incredible night. Check-in begins at 3PM, and we arrived around 5PM after needing to get ready for our wedding reception. Our room still wasn't ready and we were told it was "awaiting inspection." There was no ETA for when it would be available, we were simply told that someone would call or text us when it was ready. This left us without a room when we needed it most. Luckily, my in-laws' room was ready, so we had to use their room to get ready. We also had to leave our luggage with the bell desk and specifically asked that it be delivered to our room once our room became available. After our wedding reception, we returned to the hotel around 11:00 PM. We had received no call, text, or email letting us know our room was ready. I went to the front desk myself and was told that it was, in fact, ready. At that point, however, they couldn't even confirm whether our luggage had been delivered. We went to our room and, unsurprisingly, our luggage was not there. It was eventually brought up to us, but by then we were standing around waiting for our belongings when we should have been getting ready to head to our after party. After an already long and emotional wedding day, this was the last thing we needed. Unfortunately, the problems didn't end there. We had several items from our wedding reception that the hotel agreed to hold for us, which we initially appreciated. When we checked out the following day, we were told that everything they were holding for us had been returned to us. We trusted that information and left. Luckily, we were still in the area at our next stop when we realized we were missing items. We had to turn around and drive back to the hotel to retrieve them. When we arrived, they had several additional items that had been forgotten and not given to us the first time. Mistakes happen, but the combination of everything that went wrong... from not having our room ready at check-in, to not communicating when it was ready, to our luggage not being delivered, to having to return to the hotel because our belongings weren't all returned, made for an incredibly frustrating experience. What makes this especially disappointing is that this was our wedding night. We chose The Langham because we wanted to celebrate such a meaningful occasion there and hopefully have a hotel that would hold special memories for us for years to come. Instead, when I think about our stay, I'll remember it as the hotel that added unnecessary stress to an already exhausting day and didn't make our night any easier. For a hotel of this caliber, I expected a much higher level of communication, attention to detail, and service. Unfortunately, I cannot say that our experience lived up to that expectation, and at this point, I don't see ourselves returning for future anniversaries.

While these cooled the living room and one bedroom, the other bedroom remained very warm. the following day a third unit was brought up. Two of the three units leaked, getting the carpet wet. Both of these units had t be replaced. These units were loud and because they vented out open windows brought all the street noise into our suite.

They have a lot going for them-- proximal to eating and some shopping; beautiful facility; close to City Hall and not far from CalTech, and excellent staff who make use of meetings spaces a success. Reginald checked me in and though my suite wasn't ready, he communicated with cleaning staff to complete it. Room was contemporary enough, not bothered with noise, and the bed was comfortable, which I appreciate more and more. Gym is functional and I had quick access to what I look for. Conference staff and the GM (Rob) were attentive and worked to ensure all went well for our meetings. Food was great. Patio space was inviting (minus some sun glare and heat). The next morning, prior to check out, I inquired about a 2 bed room and was told that they had one but, I would have to wait until the afternoon. I agreed and they charged my credit card $160.29 for the stay on Saturday, April 25, 2026. I had an important appointment across town that I needed to keep so, I left to get to the appointment and expected to get back to the hotel around the time that the room became available. Unfortunately, I encountered serious vehicle issues and was not able to get back to the hotel. I also did not want to get stuck in the dark trying to get across town to the hotel. I tried to call the hotel later that evening but, it just kept ringing and ringing, until it timed out, and I was never able to reach anyone. Early the next morning (April 26th), I tried calling again but, it still just kept ringing until it timed out. I was finally able to physically go to the hotel and speak with Mary a bit after 2am. She told me that I would have to wait until after 9:30 or 10 am and speak with David, the GM. I called at 11:21 am and told another man there what happened and he told me to speak with David at 3pm. I spoke with David at 3:29pm and told him that I had planned to be there when the room was ready but, I had serious vehicle issues and no way to get to the hotel. I mentioned that I tried to call, no one answered, and that I finally spoke with Mary, who told me that I had to speak with him. He said that Mary starts at 11pm and I should have called sooner. I explained that had I not been stuck across town without transportation and dealing with serious vehicle issues, I would have but, I did try to communicate as soon as I could. I told him that I just wanted to be able to stay for one night to use the one night for which I paid. It is unfortunate because, even though this place was not the best, most well kept hotel, it was conveniently located and most of the staff, up to this point, seemed nice enough. At this point, I have no interest in ever staying here again. I would just like a full refund.

Huge accolades for the pool and hot tub. The hot tub was clean and actually hot, unlike some hotels where the water is lukewarm. I also appreciated the staff here because they are very friendly and welcoming throughout the stay. If you enjoy having a wide selection of TV channels, this hotel definitely delivers. They do have a free breakfast, which is a nice added value, especially if you are heading out early for the day. The guest laundry room is also very convenient and a major asset for longer stays or road trips. Now the negatives - The bed was harder than expected and made for uncomfortable sleeping. Their signage is terrible. When I first got on the elevator it went down even though I pressed the 3rd floor button. I tried a couple times, when another guest said you have to scan your room key then select the floor. No sign saying that on the elevator. No explanation from the front desk about the elevator. Usually, you only need the key card if your on the top floor. Even if the hotel is setup different you need to explain it at check in or provide signs! Same night I went to fill the ice bucket. Followed the sign, it pointed down the hall. I walked all the way to the end no ice machine. Then walked back, saw a different sign pointing the opposite way so I walked all the way to the end, guess what? NO ICE MACHINE!! I walked back to the Elevators thinking there was a sign pointing to another floor. NOPE! Then I hear the ice machine motor kick in so I know I'm close. Turns out to be inside a closet WITH NO SIGN AND A DOOR! Come on. That's just ridiculous. It felt like an episode of Where's Waldo. It shouldn't that hard to find ice! It's not a treasure hunt.

We paid for 5 nights at this hotel and could not get loungers for a day. Others paid $30 and got loungers the whole day. Doesn't seem fair.
