Peconic Bay Osyters ($18 for 6) SO GOOD!!!!
    Lilian S.

The Seafood Shop is a very small shop (only 10 minutes away from Wolffer Estate Vineyard), offering THE BESTTTTT OYSTERS we've everrrrr tasted in a long while! We got half a dozen of their Peconic Bay Oysters for $18. EVERYYYY SINGLE DOLLAR WAS SO WORTH IT! OMG! You guys! Y'all won't understand until y'all try it! We ate the oysters in the car, parked in their driveway! OMG! NEVERRRR had we tasted any oysters thissss oceanly-sweet! HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE! P.S. My husband saw the server threw out some oysters because they didn't look so good. Then he opened up some moreeee to make sure they were all fresh before packing them into our box! Forever grateful because thisssssssss was one of the biggest highlights during our trip in Long Island! It's a must visit evennnnn if you only have a stomach for a few oysters and clams! Hope to return soon!

    $62 & Change After- (W/ Tasty Steamers & Hubs Taking A Crack @ A Mayo Lobster Roll....Which He Didn't Enjoy)

Whenever hubs and I visit coastal towns, I make it my goal to find Lobster Rolls. Not any mayo-drenched Rolls....only buttered Lobsters Rolls. Seafood Shop came up not far from Sagaponack. Exterior has all the tell-tale signs of finger-licking, buttered Lobster Roll joint, seafood shack-ish, etc. Ummm...no. I may have skipped the fine print on their Lobster Roll ingredients, I phone-ordered one just in case, mixed green salad and a tray full of steamers (tasty- but small in size) and an orange soda. I noticed when one of the employees was prepping a Lobster Roll and asked if that's the only option and she nodded her head with a yes ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. I could've just said to her, "I'm sorry- but I'll leave mine behind"- and wouldn't have been an issue. But hubs was more accepting in trying out the $22.95 mayo Lobster roll....not I. On top of that, the bread itself didn't look like a typical potato roll either. Aside from the prepared seafood mayo salads, there's Ceviche, Shrimp Empanadas, Broiled Salmon and a few other things- plus their seafood market is towards the back. Sat at their picnic table and hubs didn't like the mayo drenched lobster roll- as I thought but steamers were good. Everything looked fresh. Damage? $62 and change. Worth it? No. Steamers were tiny and if having your lobster roll mixed with mayonnaise is your idea of "delicious" and you offer no other option- go ahead.

The Seafood Shop is signature and famous for its super fresh ingredients. The exterior decor is humble with simple white and blue colors. During COVID-19, they only allowed 4 customers to shop at one time so there might be a line outside but the wait wasn't too bad. There was a great variety of options from ingredients, uncooked food, prepared food and delicious dishes with reasonable prices. We bought one pound of shrimp & clam and it was amazingly delicious.

Pork Tamale w a single bite of pork Otherwise empty.

Well, this was our last time here sadly. The soups r too salty. The wraps r pretty good. We had paella and it was lackluster at best. Nothing tastes as good as it used to and it used to be terrific. Like everywhere, the prices are out of control but mainly considering who is behind the counter, u would think a Tamale would be done well but not even close. It was nothing but one small slice of pork! Nothing else but corn mush. See photo. So much for my husband's dinner. Sad.

So, I've been working in the area on weekends. Decided to stop by this place because I saw a line outside waiting to order. Anyway, I ordered the flounder sandwich. I gave my name and paid for it as I was waiting. The girl at the register called me and packed my food. So I took it and drove to where I was staying/working and only then realized I was given the wrong order. She gave me an order with for someone with my same name. It was 2 salmon burgers. I was a bit disappointed because I really wanted my flounder sandwich. Anyway, I ended up giving a sandwich to a co-worker. The salmon burger was really good. The one I kept had rice and slaw. It was very flavorful and seasoned nicely. My work is about 15mins away from their location otherwise I would of gone back. Still I enjoyed the sandwich even though it's not what I wanted... I'd get it again. Hopefully, next week I'll have time and get the other sandwich. Guess some mistakes are meant to happen :)

This is a solid seafood shop. I've gotten raw fish here that I cooked, and it was of very good quality, tasted great, and seemed pretty fresh. I came back today to try some of their prepared foods, and while it was good, it was nothing outstanding. I tried the caesar salad with seared tuna. The tuna quality was good, but I wasn't a fan of the seasoning that they put on it - it was like a breaded on spice mixture. The salad overall was pretty decent. I also tried a vegetable spring roll which was soggy and not crisp and had okay flavor, but I won't be getting it again. Overall, there are some good options here. UPDATE: I went back here for lunch and got the salmon burger. I was really impressed by it. It was massive and had great flavor. It was served with a sort of yogurt dill sauce on the side which was a great complement. There were also fries (pretty good) and coleslaw on the side.

I love going to hole in the wall places and this one did not disappoint. Read the reviews on Yelp and very positive. We drove up and there was parking. Inside, you can either order raw to go or they can cook on the spot for you and there are a few benches and high tables to sit outside. I got the fried cod fish tacos which came in two with a side of my choosing (Spanish rice) with another default of coleslaw. The tacos were wonderful and fish tasted fresh. My wife got the seared scallops while my son ordered the fish and chips. All of them came with coleslaw as a default side and one more of your picking. The pictures speak for themselves and I definitely recommend this place. They also have soups which my son tried white clam chowder and liked. Will recommend for anyone who is visiting Montauk. The folks working there are superb and very friendly.

Excellent seafood at fair prices. Good service and rough-but-clean shop. We return frequently.

Everyone always gripe about their pricing, but everyone still uses them, lol. I guess Loaves and Fishes should thank their friend, Ina Garten (the Barefoot Contessa) for publicizing it as one of her favorite places in the Hamptons. It's definitely expensive, but so are most other places in Sagaponack, and the surrounding area. I've had a wide variety of their food at gatherings. Top notch and always really fresh. However, I must say that the in-store selection is pretty limited. I get that the store itself is small, yet cute, but just know that the food options are fairly minimal. For our first visit, we got some typical picnic foods (fried chicken, cold deli salads, etc.). We also got a very small portion of their lobster salad. I've always liked it, and just wanted a small taste. I say small because it went for something like $75/pound. I've been told that it can go for $100/pound. For me, that's ridiculous. There's no high end caviar on it or anything, lol. Honestly, I've had my go-to spot for lobster salad here, and this place is NOT it. I've always loved their desserts. Like every single thing I've ever tried. But, at the store, I got a slice of meringue cake that they just brought out, and it was THE BEST!! Omg, it reminds me of meringue cakes I've had in Europe, but could never find as good in the States. I'd be willing to pay anything for THIS. Haha. On our first visit, customer service was great. On our second visit, the employee (an older woman) was really unpleasant. She didn't even want me taking pictures of the store (not of her). Strange.
