    Bacon egg and cheese croissant
    Rachel T.

Stopped by Sage on a Friday morning and wow this place was busy! Both lines were pretty long and staff were working hard to take orders outside and then hop inside to fulfill them. I ordered the bacon, egg, and cheese croissant which was just okay for me. While the staff were kind, I don't think I'd pick to wait in that long of a line again while there's other options around.

The local drive thru coffee shop has Italian quality coffee at America's pace. However, I rarely get regular coffee, usually it's a medium iced late and one of their bacon Asiago cheese bagel egg sandwhich for a late breakfast. Usually very good. Once they get to know you the service can get mega fast, they see you out the window with 1 car ahead, and when you get to the window your order is ready. ( just hope you weren't going to change it up that day! ) Also I recommend the green smoothies and hot pretzels.

    Amazing customer service!

They now sell jugs of cold brew. Wonderful for when you need it early, weekends or in a rush.

When you see the daily specials on their menu, you know it's the real deal. Not only is there fried chicken and chicken n dumplings, but the vegetable sides include such grandma favorites as Jello with fruit and often several kinds of peas . . . and rutabagas, any time you actually can find rutabagas on a restaurant menu you know they're not playing around in the kitchen and they're catering to old timers who themselves know how to cook. I had chicken n dumplings with fried eggplant and cucumbers and onions salad as my sides and cornbread came along with the plate as well. Everything was delicious. The cucumbers tasted fresh from someone's garden--like they had that just-picked taste you don't normally encounter in restaurants at all. Service was fine, an older waitress who checked on me and kept the iced tea coming. The interior is comfy, old license plates on the wall, regulars greeting each other and coming over to each other's tables. But the food is what stands out: not at all fancy, indeed, it doesn't taste like restaurant food but literally like eating at a Southern friend's grandma's house and I don't believe there could be a higher recommendation than that.

Not many tables in the bar area so... we sat right at the bar. The bartender had all kinds of attitude... in the BEST way possible. It was awesome. We started with 12 wings tossed in their buffalo sauce. They were excellent - and this coming from a wing snob. The blue cheese was very good - thick and chunky. For the main course, I got the fish and chips with an extra piece of fish. The fish was great. Fries were above average. They had music bingo (maybe a Tuesday thing?) - that was a bit much but c'est la vie. There was one dude shouting out every song and singer. My guy, get a hobby! lol Highly Recommend!
