Went here on a Sunday around 1 pm not knowing they closed around 2 pm on Sundays for the time being. However, our waitress was wonderful and efficient. She was cheery and a great conversationist! The restaurant was clean and there was plenty to choose from on the menu. Since we were there near closing time it was quiet and peaceful. We ordered the French toast and a skillet. Both were absolutely amazing and tasty. I can't wait to come back here! To note though, prices were a little more than what was on the menu but that could be because the menu wasn't updated, but unsure. read more

The food is delicious, but the service is incredibly slow. It takes about 40 minutes to get your food, and the drinks are expensive, almost $4 each. Some of the waitresses don't even refill your drink until you're almost finished. read more

Had breakfast with the grandkids then went shopping for school clothes. Destanie attended to everything we needed. The atmosphere was friendly and welcoming. All of our meals were delicious and cooked to perfection. This facility is a great place for breakfast, lunch or take out meals. It's a great north Florida favorite of ours. We had some friends in town from out of state, and wanted to try a new place for a late breakfast. We couldn't have picked a better spot! A little off the beaten path, but worth it. Food was great. I don't know if it is possible to update hours on apps like this, but it would be helpful before people like us make the stop. Especially since the location is right off of 75. The food was definitely 5 stars, service was fair once we finally got noticed. One of my pet peeves is sitting for five minutes and no one acknowledges you, as though you are invisible. Just a "someone will be with you shortly," or "welcome to...." is all that's needed. Especially when they are not that busy and it's obvious you are being ignored. But the food was not greasy at all and cooked perfectly. By the way, the cook was the only one who said "thank you for coming" on our way out. Go figure! read more

We recommend that anyone travelling along highway 75, take advantage of the opportunity to step back in time into this authentic diner. Staff are welcoming to locals and travellers alike. Nothing fancy but we had the best breakfast we have had in a long time. read more

Went this morning to have breakfast. Ordered the Patty melt with fries. Patty melt was good, bit too much mayo but the Patty was cooked well and a great size for the money. The fries.....well I think somebody forgot they we're cooking. Clearly overcooked or in old oil. Picked out 2 that were edible. Left the rest. My wife's home fries were overcooked as well. The service was excellent unlike the 2 visits. Think we'll just try somewhere else from now on. read more

Live close by. First time visit. Enjoyed the Country Fried steak, was cooked prefect and tender. Really enjoyed all the gravy the chef smothered it with. I'll be back to try other meals and want to come some morning for breakfast. Looks like they serve it all day. ICE TEA WAS GOOD AND FRESH! Place was clean and staff was real friendly with everyone. Great little hidden gem in my old hometown stomping grounds. Friendly people and very generous portions. Even the toast somehow tasted decadent. Pancakes were delicious, the bacon was thick and crispy, and everything came out hot and fast. The staff checked on us often with that perfect balance of no-nonsense efficiency and friendly Southern hospitality. You can tell this place runs on routine, experience, and pride in the food. If you're anywhere near Starke, this is absolutely worth the stop.
