    Chicken Shawarma Platter
    Elliot L.

This establishment had been pending opening for quite some time and there was no internet presence to keep us updated on their progress. I finally learned they opened when the local news outlet posted an article online announcing the restaurant's commencement. With that being said, a coworker and I ventured out to get lunch this week. Only street parking is available and it's metered. As I was navigating the menu I discovered that not everything on the menu was available. This day, they had chicken shawarma and falafel available and had neither the beef shawarma or create your own bowl options. Apparently, according to another customer there who came here once before, beef shawarma was previously available. I ordered a chicken shawarma platter which included rice, shawarma and a variety of vegetables, salad, humus and sauces. When I went to pay, the price quoted was higher than listed on the menu and when I mentioned this I was informed there is an upcharge to pay with card. Okay, no problem...I then said I wanted to pay with cash and was being charged the same amount. There was no way for them to remove the card fee which was frustrating so I then went to pay with card and the card reader wasn't working. I appreciate they are cooking their meat on vertical spits and the interior of the restaurant was pleasant. I chose takeout this time so I did not have the chance to enjoy the ambiance. I will return at some point, butt I feel this place needs to work through some growing pains to figure out all their systems. I do hope they do well. I will say I enjoyed my food so that's what will bring me back. I gave them three stars this time because of the availability of items and difficulty with payment. I hope they figure things out and I can give them a higher score next time.

The fries were very good. So were grilled vegetables. Kofta lacked flavor. Order at counter, plenty of tables.

Not very many things on the buffet, although all of them were hot. The restaurant was very clean, and the ambiance was good. The service was good, although the gentleman who was working didn't seem to have a lot of English, which may be a problem in the future. He was very kind and helpful though, which is a plus. I think this place has a lot of potential. They've JUST opened, and haven't ironed out the kinks yet. I will definitely be back. Suggestions to the owners: 1. You need a Meze/Combination platter (I think this is Lancaster County's first Middle Eastern restaurant, people don't know what the food is, they want to try it without committing to the whole dish.) Maybe do a "Pick 3 appetizers" for $11.99 or something. 2. The buffet was bland, don't Americanize the spices,we can handle the real seasonings, this isn't overly spicy for us. I was quite surprised to see that some of the dishes hadn't even been salted. 3. Maybe some fusion ME/American dishes? There is a place that does Shawarma fries in Chester County. Best of luck! I think you're on to something.

The staff was extremely friendly, the restaurant itself is cute and cozy, yet there are plenty of tables. And the food... so tasty! I ordered the chicken shawarma, which was absolutely delicious. The portion was quite generous (it's the kind of portion that my wife and I would split, while also ordering an appetizer... but alas. I was traveling solo for this trip). Cute place, friendly service, delicious food, excellent value. If I'm ever back in Malvern, I'd definitely come back here!!!

Their warmth and kindness create an atmosphere that feels more like you're sharing a meal with family than dining at a restaurant. The food is always incredibly fresh, and you can truly taste the love and care that goes into every dish. The hummus is absolutely delicious - smooth, flavorful, and some of the best I've ever had. Every bite is fresh, perfectly seasoned, and practically melts in your mouth. Another bonus is that it's BYOB, which makes the dining experience even more enjoyable. I discovered this place from Yelp and am so glad that I did. I really like their shawarma platters. All of the meats (chicken, beef, lamb) are good. I am usually not a fan of lamb because of the games taste but it is not noticeable here. I like the hummus as a side and it comes with a delicious piece of bread, that smells amazing if you pop it in the oven for a few minutes. They also have an option to sub the rice for veggies in the platters. I enjoy dining in because the service and ambiance are nice. It is also convenient for take out. My only gripe is that they use styrofoam takeout containers so the hot food does burn into the containers, which releases toxic chemicals. Definitely worth a stop for food! I didn't hold out hope for battered fries, but they were surprisingly good for frozen fries. I didn't give them a 5 because of the hummus appetizer. The hummus was unnaturally smooth. It tasted fine, but whipped texture was a little disconcerting. Pita bread is kept is little plastic bags that they might microwave before serving. Bread is fresh and warm when you open the bag, but it degrades quickly.
