I like this place a lot, and in a sea of places that serve Mediterranean food in Dearborn they stand out because of their friendly staff, reasonably priced dishes, and food quality. You can tell they have a genuine appreciation for your business by doing small things like as we were waiting for take out one time the person working talked with us and was genuine, another time we were doing take out they let my daughter have a complementary drink because our wait was going a little longer than expected, and the last time we came in they gave us a complementary humus on the house. These types of gestures are something you do not see in most businesses and go along way with me. The establishment is clean with a bit of a modern decor, it has booths for seating (which can be a set back if you have a larger party), and the food is good. They give generous portions. I usually have a chicken shawarma sandwich which they don't skip on the meat, and if you ask for extra pickles or garlic sauce they happily oblige you with a noticeable amount (other places say they do but often I can't tell a difference). The last time I ate there I had a medium salad with chicken which was good with fresh lettuce,veggies and like a whole chicken breast! The portion was enough that I was able to take some home. The only down fall with it was that it had a little too much dressing (maybe next time I'll ask for it on the side). I wish yelp would allow a half star because my true rating would be 4.5 stars because the food is good but not totally five star eats. That being said though with how awesome and thoughtful the staff is I have no problem pushing my rating to five stars. read more

In Michigan for work and we had to see Hittsville museum and go to Dearborn for Arabic food. Looked on Yelp and saw a Unicorn. 5 stars from 53 reviewers. It is not a lie. I've had Mediterranean food before, but the food here is simply delicious. My coworkers and I shared a sampler platter. Having eaten at many of the top Arab food restaurants in the area, I think I'm a bit spoiled. I just want to get that out of the way before I sound too critical, but I have to be honest. The food here is just ok, but the portions are mighty. We got the Sahara Shish Kabob platter for two (the first one listed). The pitas were hot and fresh, but very, very floury. Otherwise, it was good. The toum (garlic sauce) was ok, but I'm betting they have some yogurt or labneh in there. I'm a fan of garlic sauce that is just garlic, oil, lemon, and maybe jalapeno. Anyway, it wasn't horrible. The salad was ok and there was plenty. The hummus was tasty, but not as smooth as other hummus I've had. That's fine. It wasn't gritty and the taste was on point. The platter itself was a mountain of meat. It was impressive. Now, here's were I get critical. I will be honest, I'm spoiled by Malek Al Kabob. That place has shish kabob mastered. It's fantastic. Anyway, this isn't about them. We got grilled veggies instead of rice and the only veggies were onion, peppers, a smattering of carrot slivers, and one tomato. Please, please, please offere grilled zucchini and squash along with the other veggies. It makes a huge difference and is so good. The veggies tasted good, though. The kafta was tasty and juicy. The meat shawarma was flavorful, but kind of on the dry and thin side. The chicken shawarma was well charred, but under seasoned and very dry. There was a real lack of dark meat in there, and that's not good. It wasn't horrible, but it was disappointing. The tawook was nice, juicy, and had a good flavor, but the shish kabob... really disappointing. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't bad, but it was way overcooked, dry, and tough. It really bummed me out. All in all, the food would get a 3.5, but the service made a huge difference. The servers were super nice, very attentive, and lift this review to a solid 4. I will probably continue to hit my favorite spot because I live downriver, but I wouldn't be angry eating here again. read more

This is my favorite Mediterranean place in Dearborn! My favorite thing by far is their chicken platter which is pictured. It's only $33 for four different types of chicken (escalope, kafta, shawarma, & kabob) with rice, hummus, and soup or salad. It is a great deal and feeds my entire family!
