Best fattoush salad!!!! and their chicken has the best seasoning I've ever tried! My go to spot for lunch.

One staffer taking carry out orders and maybe waiting on tables too. Take Away orders at the front counter. One guy seated at a booth on the phone and two ladies with their suitcase at another booth. Other than the 3 people, place was empty. Ordered carry out. crushed lentil bowl, chicken kafta, two sides: small hummus, small baba ghanouj, large fattoush salad with no pita. $38.13 Food takes about 15 minutes to be ready. Drove all the way back to the office. My chicken kafta looks to be lamb, not at all what I ordered. My large fattoush is covered in pita chips. Had to spend several minutes getting every pita chip out of the salad. It's good I am not allergic to gluten. They shove the dressing packet in the corner of the salad, so you get a bit less, that and the pita chips. Other than that, the salad was fine. I am quite disappointed the order is not right! The crushed lentil soup has a lot of rice in it, which is just filler to me. Has some clumps of something, may be rice and starch? It's too inconvenient to drive all the way back. Do be sure to check your carry out order before you leave the place. The crushed lentil is quite bland, not much flavor to it. Tastes some fennel, quite a few clumps of starch. The soup is more rice than lentil. I could count on one hand how many traces of lentil was in my bowl of soup. What in the world? My husband ate the lamb kafta, since I don't eat red meat. Kind of split on whether to rate it a 3 or 4 but ultimately it came down to the dryness of the protein and the small beef portion in the beef and mushroom dish as well as the saltiness of the mushrooms. My past few reviews for other establishments mentions sodium levels ultimately because that can distract from the quality of the components in dishes or is a kind of easy distractor--like low hanging fruit in a sense. But the beef dish with mushroom didn't have enough beef and was mostly mushrooms. My plate had the trio of lamb, beef, and chicken and I would say it is more worth the price. Overall, everything else is standard and pretty fresh. I enjoyed the garlic and bread and it's nice taking home to toast and add an egg. I go to Zaytoona to get 1 item: their Salmon Fatoush Salad. It is, by far, the best Salmon Fatoush I've had in Dearborn/Detroit and one of my favorite salads period! The Salmon that Zaytoona puts on the salad is the size you would find in an entree at most restaurants. It is a very good sized piece of fish. Its preparation is awesome and unique as well, as they use Arab spices on it (like Sumac) and also cook it with Arab pickles and beets. You not only get the salmon with your order, but also the veggies it's cooked in. They are the only shop that does this in the area. The Fatoush dressing is incredible and unique. It's not just pomegranate molasses and oil. It's dense and has some unique flavors that I haven't experienced before in the area. Was in Dearborn this past weekend. Came on Saturday and Sunday. Food was amazing. The garlic spread and hot bread were delicious. The lamb koftah was okay. On Sunday came back and we had lamb chops, chicken shawarma and beef shawarma. Also had the hummus. It was amazing!!! So good! Great service too! Prices were very reasonable. 100% recommended. Wanted to have lunch prior to our flight and wanted a local restaurant, not a chain. So glad we googled this (conveniently located near our hotel). Arrived at 1130ish as it opens at 11am and very few customers so that was a plus. Started off with the hummus which was smooth, luscious, and creamy! They also give you these complimentary Middle Eastern rolls with garlic sauce, mmm! If you're dining between 11am to 4pm, order from the lunch menu. Huge portions for 12.99! We got the Greek salad and rice for our sides with the chicken shwarma (white meat). So flippin' good! No dessert for us as our tummies were full, but check into Yelp and get 15% off, and that can be your dessert! Total bill OTD with the discount was 29 bucks for two people! I ordered delivery from this restaurant; A mixed meat entree. It comes with chicken, beef, and your choice of two sides. I ordered the rice and salad. The bread was perfect. The rice was pretty good. They serve a simple fattoush salad compared to some other places. Cucumber, tomato, pita chips - no complaints there. The chicken was phenomenal. Went a couple weeks ago with a guest. Saturday afternoon, it wasn't too busy. We received garlic and bread, which was great, and then the salads came. And then the meals came. Then, much later, the falafel came. Falafel was dry, which I could live with because it had a good flavor, except the sauce that accompanied it I didn't care for. I won't be ordering that again. I think I would've just preferred garlic to dip the falafel into. I didn't hold the timing of the appetizer against my server, as that could have been a mixup in the kitchen. The meal was good, the garlic sauce and bread were really good, as was the salad. Everything was presented on the plate beautifully and I had asked for my chicken and veggies to be a little more charred and they were perfectly done, so I'm not mad at the kitchen either. We did a pick up order for three chicken shawarma. The flavor and taste were solid overall but the chicken was definitely on the dry side. The toum was also pretty sharp so be ready for the garlic. I love garlic but it was in the "sharp" side which I didn't like. I'm personally looking for a very specific shawarma because the best I've had are in Lebanon but I haven't gone in 5+ years so I can't only be waiting on Lebanon trips to eat yummy shawarma. As soon as I walked in, all of the girls working were all smiles and super sweet! The menu is very extensive, even including items that are not traditionally Mediterranean. The menu also includes most items as small, large, or XL orders. I ordered the large fattoush with grilled chicken. I didn't even have to wait 5 minutes before my food was ready. I got it to-go, and even when I got back to my place, the food was hot and fresh. I also couldn't believe how LARGE the large portion was! I definitely could've gone with the small. Food: (2/5)- we got the Shish Tawook and chicken kabab platter. The shish tawook was so hard to chew and lacked flavor. The rice seemed like it was just boiled and that's it. No seasoning or taste whatsoever. The chicken Kabab was sadly not cooked to its entirely, in the middle of the Kabab was raw pink meat unfortunately.
