Our party of 4 arrived for a late lunch, and were all left incredibly impressed with food, service, and its ambiance. F O O D We ordered the following to share -- * Hummus: chickpeas, tahini, lemon juice, and garlic * Tabouli: finely chopped parsley, scallions, diced tomatoes, combined with cracked wheat, lemon juice, and specialty spices * don't recall the name of the dish but it was steak bites over rice with pine nuts topping it off? * a really huge plate of beef, chicken, and lamb cooked for a group to share (name?). It came with mixed vegetables and dipping sauces -- decadence. *. Unlimited Pita Bread S E R V I C E Our server was such a delight and took care of our table from beginning to end. He made recommendations to help us get a taste of everything that would introduce the Mediterranean cuisine without it being too overwhelming for first timers. He checked on us a few times throughout our meal and refilled our pita bread basket, and drinks with such grace. Very great first impression for me! A M B I A N C E Romantic. Traditional. Cultured. Intimate. I'm told this place is a popular choice in Dearborn for catering, parties, and large events. The space is certainly large enough to host big crowds. P.S. * ample parking as they have their own private lot * kids menu * good choice for vegetarians or vegans * arrive hungry and ready to eat!

WOW!! Just had a first time visit to Habib's and they did not disappoint! From the hostess's warm welcome by the fireplace to the beautiful dining area, the atmosphere was cozy and comforting. Hadi my waiter was absolutely fantastic! He was prompt, friendly and fast and made my dining experience truly memorable. He made valuable suggestions, although everything I ate was AMAZING! Fattoush Salad Lentil Soup Shish Kabob I visit the area often, however I found a new go to choice when entertaining family and friends! If I had more than two thumbs, they would all be up for Habib's

We stopped by here because they have zabiha halal meat and the other restaurants around Dearborn could not confirm if they were zabiha or not. Pros: - good location, shahtila bakery is nearby and other stores are nearby - very clean and nice restaurant, light music. It was very peaceful and enjoyable - food was good, great sides and soup. We left very full. We ordered two entrees and total was $52 dollars it fed 4 adults with leftovers. The service was very nice, a little bit slow - we waited a lot. Overall, great place and I would definitely recommend!

This is a nice looking place, inside and outside too. It's a banquet center too. I like the gas fireplace in the main entrance. The entryway and the main dining room area all are nicely decorated. Our waiter brought us our menu and took our order soon after. We started off with a Small hummus, a chicken Tawook lunch special and a falafel sandwich. The hummus came out in the small is quite large. I can't imagine with the large hummus would look like then. They could probably use an even smaller size, since we only need about a quarter of the hummus. The hummus was just OK, didn't have enough lemon juice for me. At least we have them warm and fresh pita bread here. The chicken tawook lunch special came out and at first I was surprised that there was a little chicken, but had to remind myself it was a lunch portion. The grilled chicken meat was decent. My colleague enjoyed his falafel sandwich.

Zaghloul Subs - Lebanese Sub

Zaghloul was a great post-Jummah lunch in Dearborn. The small shop was cozy and clean and the staff…read morewere very kind and generous. The Fajita Sub was loaded with chicken, cheese, and toppings and was solid. The crispy bread had a satisfying crunch and the flavors were bold and tasty. The chicken tenders, albeit frozen, were actually very well fried and seasoned. They even gave us extra tenders in our order for free as well as a free water! On top of that, for no extra charge the order came with many different tasty sauces to choose from. Zaghloul is affordable and tasty with people who put the customer first!

Zaghloul Subs has been on my try list ever since I moved to Michigan. Unfortunately the location in…read moreDearborn Heights just isn't somewhere I go very often so it's been stuck on my list for the longest time. They opened a second branch in East Dearborn recently which finally allowed me to give the subs a try. The restaurant itself is quite small and is mostly a takeout destination. There are only 14 seats in the small dining room, a small fridge stocked with drinks, and the order counter, from which you can see the kitchen. I went in on a very empty weekday lunch and got one item, which took about 10 minutes to come out: Lebanese Sub, Half ($8.99) - They toast this sub well, resulting in a very nice crunch on the exterior. Just be careful eating it - you can pretty easily lacerate your gums if you're not careful! The interior is moist for the most part, with a bit of a mild garlic and mayo mixture that covers all the ingredients. There's a double layer of grilled chicken breast that forms a base layer, followed by some fries that are crunchy on the exterior and fluffy on the interior, and finally a layer of crunchy and acidic pickles. The chicken is the weakest part of the dish - some pieces are overcooked, dry, and tough. It's most noticeable in the thickest areas where there's not enough mayo/garlic to add moisture to the sandwich. Still, overall I found the sub to be good and the ingredients all complemented each other well. Note: The little red tray that they served the sub in smelled heavily of bleach and my first couple of bites had a slight whiff of bleach thanks to that. If you eat here, I would recommend removing the food from the tray before eating. Zaghloul Subs is definitely worth a try.

Luckily I didn't get a full one because I wouldn't have been able to finish it. I was tempted to get it with the Cheez Wiz on it but I was hesitant. Everything about the Philly was very good, but the bread roll really stood out to me...it was super soft & fresh but had a perfect, golden, thin, crispy crust on the exterior holding everything in place and giving just the right amount of crunch to every bite. It held up to the steamy steak and cheese like a champ without getting soggy, Solid sub. And this beast is big; half is enough to satiate almost any hungry appetite. I got mine to go, but the inside is bright & spacious with a ton of seating (but parking can be a challenge). This might also be one of the cleanest sub shops I've ever visited...absolutely spotless when I was there. While in the shop, I also got the pleasure of meeting Mike, who said he bought the place from Ricky a few years back. Mike seems to be a great dude who loves what he does and takes pride in his craft. He hooked me up with a sample of the red pepper relish, showed me what kind they use, and even told me where to buy it in bulk! He also shared some of their in-house Cajun seasoning, which was pretty tasty. Before I left, he gave me a heads up to be sure to hit Dearborn Sweets next door, and even some top selections to try (FWIW....he was right). I can't wait to come back and try some of their other subs! Shoutout and thanks to Mike for making it a great first visit!

Side Chic's blows them out of the water along with every other spot in Detroit/Dearborn (Savvy Sliders, Checkers, KFC, Chic Fil A, Chick N Kingz etc.) The breading on the tenders is very, very flavorful. They also put the perfect amount of breading on each tender. I absolutely hate overbreaded tenders where it feels like you're chewing through multiple layers till you hit chicken. Side Chic's avoids this completely by having a nice layer of breading that adds flavor and doesn't distract from the chicken. The chicken itself is hot, juicy and well textured. This is not rubbery, dry chicken. The only other way I can describe it is it just tastes fresh. I was thoroughly impressed. Side Chic's is a carry out spot that's open very, very late (which is awesome). Everyone who works there is incredibly pleasant and helpful. Also, even though the chicken is fresh and made to order, your food comes out in a fairly quick manner. I really can't say enough good things about Side Chic's. I came recently and the fries, fried pickles, and sauces were all great! The chicken was still okay, but not seasoned the same way as before. Still moist and tender tho. There's was oil all over the boxes though and staining like a seventh (or 14-18%) of the paper bag. That's a lot. The box was dripping oil. My whole total was a measly $11 for a dozen of falafel, a plate of rotten turnips pickles and parsley 2 mini containers of garlic and tahini and 2 huge containers of garlic and tahini that were both sour and old tasting, I kept my mouth shut and didn't call them to complain and figured they lost a long time customer bc why would I even go back when their packaged items are all dusty and expired and flies all over their produce, in the whole produce isle I didn't see one fruit or vegetable that was edible and everyone was trying to buy stuff but they were walking away after trying to pick through. Way better markets in the area. Skip this place if you care about what goes into your body, threw the turnips pickles garlic and tahini straight into the trash upon opening, ate 2 of 12 falafels out of hunger, then threw the rest away bc what would make me think it was ok to eat them after everything else was rotten, pathetic third world vibes in this market, defiantly has gone down hill, hope they shut down and use that big space for an actual edible market
