Eaten at many Vietnamese places. Pho and bhan mí sandwiches from little Vietnam in Houston Texas all my life. This is very close to that. The bhan mí sandwich could have been made better and more nicely and authentically made. The pate and cold cuts were super thick. The garlic butter was not as it should be. They don't put jalapeños in inside. They are stingy with the veggies too. The pho was really good. But the dressings on the side were very stingy and little. They don't give enough sauces or fresh veggies that go with everything and make it really tasty. The spring rolls were also not super fresh. Saigon Bistro is a hidden gem in JC. I've always had to go to Queens to get good Pho until now. The service is top notch. Our waiter (might have been the owner) was incredibly attentive. Most Vietnamese restaurants have a10 chapter book for their menu. Saigon Bistro cuts out all the filler and makes their menu easy to read with clear pictures of what you're ordering. We started with the summer rolls and they tasted incredibly fresh. I then ordered the main Pho and WOW. Talk about flavor! The broth was amazingly aromatic and the beef was perfectly tender. And the prices are the icing on the cake. Far too many pho spots charge an arm and a leg. This feels like a true Vietnamese bistro. I hope the owners keep it up, their future is very bright!! 10/10!! Really great food! I got the vegetable pad thai and my boyfriend the shrimp pad thai...both where large portions and excellent with a lot of vegetables mixed in. Usually sometimes with pad thai takeout there's hardly any peanuts or added vegetables. We also got the vegetable spring rolls and they where so good...not greasy or falling apart and the vinegar sauce was the perfect combo....usually I'll feel bloated and stuffed after but we both felt great! Really great. The delivery was very fast, everything was fresh and warm. We had the steamed dumplings and spring rolls for appetizers and they were delicious. The fried rice is delicate and seasoned just right, and the grilled chicken is amazing. We also had a vermicelli platter with grilled shrimp, chicken and veggie spring roll. I would have liked more shrimp on it, because it was perfectly cooked and so flavorful. We also ordered hot lemongrass soup, and are waiting to eat that today, but it looks great. I'm so glad this place opened up on Central Ave.! I just hope that when they get super popular in the coming weeks the quality doesn't go down or the delivery times don't go way up. To start, the peanut sauce they pair with the summer rolls is like NO OTHER I have ever had with the chopped peanuts on top. so delicious and all the roll contents were so fresh...you can taste every ingredient and I could have them as an entree...And my hubby got the vegetable pho with beef broth...the flavor was out of control AMAZING! And if you have never had a bahn mi sandwich, this is the place to try one...you will not regret it! I just had one and I am already thinking of going to get another variation tomorrow. i like this place but, def can use some improvement. i haven't had good vietnamese food in a looong time so i wanted to try this new spot. so far i have ordered: veggie spring rolls, shrimp summer rolls, veggie curry noodles, shrimp fried rice, grilled vermicelli shrimp platter, n veggie pho. i was happy to see a veggie pho but, the flavor was a lil bland. i wanted to try the seafood soup but, they only make it with chicken stock. i wish i could choose my own stock :( so far my favs are the curry noodles and vermicelli platter. the shrimps are clean and very flavorful. things i didn't like: spring rolls over cooked (burnt & greasy). rice undercooked or dry and chalky, unpleasant taste and texture. also, the sauce that comes with summer rolls is gritty, lumpy, and has too much fish flavor which overpowers the freshness of the roll. the flavors are good though so def worth a try. read more

We were driving home from Boston and we needed lunch. There's nothing fun on the turnpike so we veered over to Jersey city for a sandwich at this place. The cafe su da was pretty good. Sandwiches (chicken and pork banh mi) were huge. The bread crispy, flakey outer crust with a chewy soft interior like i would expect. The meat was flavorful.. and while I wasn't expecting Pate on the pork it was tasty. Perhaps a bit much since I ended up with bites that may have had too much liver flavor but nonetheless tasty. The sandwiches could have had a little more of the pickled daikon and carrots. We did have to ask for extra jalapenos because 2 measly jalapenos is not enough for that huge sandwich. Love! I found this little gem in Jersey City Height today. So far, this is the best I had of Vietnamese restaurant in NJ. Vietnamese dripped coffee was so good and not too sweet compared to other Vietnamese restaurants. It was perfect for me! Pho noodle soup was super tasty. I also ordered the summer rolls, it was so fresh and the thickness of peanut sauce to dip the summer roll was awesome and rich. The interior design of this restaurant was cozy and inviting. Stuffs were nice and super friendly. They wouldn't leave you unattended. It will become one of my favorite spots to go from now on and would like to try other selections on their menus.
