Nice, reliable Vietnamese food in a neighborhood that doesn't have a lot of authentic Asian food. I've had their Curry Vegetable Stew lemongrass stir fry before, and both were delicious. My sister really enjoyed the tofu mushroom banh mi she had and said the bread was nice and fresh and the sauce was just the right ratio. Came here for dinner. The ambiance is enjoyable and good for conversation. The Service is on point and attentive. We had: * Spring Rolls: crispy and fresh. Taste good when combined with the sauce * Pho Beef combo: round steak, brisket, meatballs, tripe, and tendon. I'd say the portion is kinda small vs the biased places that i get in Chinatown Manhattan and Flushing Queens. The ones that i get in NY are much more savory than here. I guess I am subjectively biased. I'd say the only difference between this Pho is that the broth tasted natural and without any msg. Otherwise, wish it provided more proteins... Street parking should be available but depending on time and date it might be hard to find

(Beef Combo Pho: D) - The beef combo pho is the highlight pho dish will all the cuts of beef including tendon, tripe, eye round, and meatballs. Unfortunately, despite being the most complete pho on the menu, I felt that the fundamental basis of the dish, the broth was significantly underdeveloped. The flavor was light but soothing when drinking it alone, but once its added to the noodles, its diluted and too bland to taste the hard work of infusing those rich spices. Furthermore, the eye round was packaged with the broth, so it was significantly overcooked by the time it made its way to home from the takeout order. At almost $20, I felt that this dish was unfortunately not well executed in comparison to other places I've tried, although it is one of the better places in the Jersey City area. We're new to the Jersey City Heights area & this is a solid pho spot. The pho is more on the lighter end and isn't as savory as to what I'm used to back in Flushing, NY but nonetheless, still good and satisfying. The owner is so nice & staff is very attentive. The spring rolls were pretty good too, just wish it came with more lettuce to wrap them with. So far, we've been back every 2 weeks :) and will continue to come!

The pad Thai is not good I've never had orange noodle in pad thai? Very greasy, meat not cooked with noodle. No tofu, almost no peanut Get something else! this is not pad thai

Great local spot. I have had several of their apps, Pho, and Pad Thai and all were delicious. The staff is extremely friendly too. While the Pho is always better in person, they do a great job of packaging everything for to-go orders. Everything is put in separate containers so it doesn't get too soggy and you can customize your bowl how you would like. read more

I've gotten bahnmi here 3x. The first two times were amazing. The key is the pate they use for the pork bahnmi. The 3rd time I got the pork belly bahnmi and was disappointed b/c the bread. I think they used a standard amoroso roll which wasn't good, vs like baguette first 2x. If they just gained consistency in bread choices I'd say best bahnmi place of all time. read more

Very solid neighborhood Vietnamese restaurant. My favorite Vietnamese restaurants in NYC and JC all have Saigon in the name. That's the true secret to knowing if a Vietnamese restaurant is good. If the restaurant name has some kind of word gimmick with "pho", it will be average. But if the name is Saigon bistro, Saigon Social (LES), Saigon Shack (west village), and Sai Gon Dep (midtown east), then it will be good. I'm giving 3 stars for the tastyBanh Mi sandwich and for fast delivery. I put instructions to send me chili oil but didn't receive anything. Pad Thai disappointing it's dry and sour. The chicken pieces on the top. Usually it's mix with noodles sauce and cooked. It looks like to me pad Thai was made earlier and depend on our orders they put meat on the top and send to us. read more

LOVE this place!! I was so excited when it opened, since there are so few Vietnamese restaurants in JC/Hoboken. I'm Vietnamese myself and I can say the Pho and Bun is legit. We order here at least once a week. Delivery is fast, food gets here hot and well packaged. Ate there in person a few times as well - service is always great. The only thing is, the first time we ordered delivery, all the protein ingredients were mixed in with the broth. Personally I like it separated, so after that, I always mention in the special instructions to pack the protein separately from the broth. read more

Amazing pho! Really happy that I found this spot in my neighborhood. I ordered the pork pho and it was outrageously good. I will definitely be trying everything else they have to offer. Not only that, but the GrubHub driver never showed and the gentleman that was working last night got a new one out right away (and I think might have driven it over himself). This little hole in the wall might not look like much but the food is delicious. Make sure you are willing to wait for a seat because it is a very small establishment. There were many to go orders coming in and out of the door but the staff was still very attentive to the tables and my food was served surprisingly quick. After leaving Saigon I understood why it was so busy with to go orders and long wait times. Because the food is so damn good. read more

This place doesn't disappoint. The Pho is delicious. Previously I would go to Princeton whenever we wanted Pho, but Saigon Bistro will be saving us the trip. Let me preface this by saying that I'm more of review reader than writer. This place is so good, I just had to write a review. I wish I could give this place more than 5 stars. Honestly, one of my favorite go to places ever. If I could afford to eat here everyday, I would. I love the chicken fried rice and the pad Thai is so good. The Vietnamese spring rolls are to die for. The pho's are super tasty. I love everything about this place. The employees are super nice and friendly. Service is excellent and delivery is very quick. Prices are very reasonable. Definitely try this place at least once. (This is like my 4th time eating out from here lol) I'm so glad this place opened and I hope they stay open. It's such a hidden gem in jersey city. 10/10 read more

"Average pho, would not go there again I gave it three stars. " says my Bf, who drove all the way from Bayonne to pick it up . The broth was mediocre at best and they put the steak into the soup which completely overcooked the beef into jerky . And the noodle portion size was small. the pork chop had a lot of fat on it and barely had taste, was pretty dry. Also they added pickled carrots in the summer roll for some reason. Not use to that when ordering the summer roll . And their peanut sauce was way to thick and clumpy . "If you never had pho this is a great place , but if you eat pho regularly this place is average" - BF. read more

Today I was in the mood for some Vietnamese food and this Restaurant certainly hit the Spot! I've been to this restaurant before but I've never reviewed it, so now is my chance. To start with I was greeted very warmly upon entering the restaurant by the staff and I mean the whole staff. Which was made up of about five people. Each and everyone of them said hello to me, which I thought was pretty cool! Anyway, I was actually thinking about taking my order of food to the park and enjoying it there but after that warm greeting I decided to dine in. So I was shown to my table and handed the menu and asked if I would care for a beverage. But I told the waiter not only do I wanna order my beverage now but I also wanna order my meal. So I proceeded to order my meal which was an order of shrimp spring rolls and the chicken Pho. So while I was waiting for my appetizer to arrive I was admiring the ambience of this quaint little establishment. It really is a nice location for people watching. There's quite a bit of foot traffic in this area, and it's nice to finally see the revitalization of this part of Jersey City. I quickly realized after gazing through the storefront window for a few minutes that my appetizer of the shrimp spring balls had arrived to my table accompanied by my drink. And I have to say it arrived pretty quickly after I ordered it. I quickly dived into it and certainly join every bite of it. The freshness of the vegetables and of the shrimp was top Notch. It was just delicious! Not soon after I took the last bite of my spring rolls did the chicken Pho arrive. Perfectly timed I might say. The Pho's broth smelled so good and I couldn't wait to taste it. It took a few minutes for me to actually taste the Pho because it was piping hot, but once it cooled I was all in! The broth was intoxicating, the chicken was juicy, and all the vegetables were so fresh. I completely devoured this Pho and I'm not even embarrassed to say so, it's must have! I just wanna say that I will continue to visit this little cozy place with my friends and family anytime that I'm in the mood for Vietnamese food.
