Bun Banh Hoi pick 2 & crab fried rice

Ate with (viet) aunties on MLK day. Casual interior, snagged an inviting booth. Service very friendly and attentive. Food was delish and pretty presentation. Bun Bo hue was tad sweet but mom happy it wasn't spicy. Good portions. Thanks, We'll be back!

The crispy eggroll (cha gio) was crispy and looks to be double fried, leading to a really crunchy outside. Good amount of filling on the inside and the fish sauce is sweet and tangy. The Chilean sea bass was super crispy with a thick crust on the top. The glass noodles looked a bit on the thin side and tasted more like vermicelli. Lovely scallions on top. The bone in short rib was filled with noodle and a good amount of meat. The broth was a bit too salty and didn't have as much meat flavor on it though. Still, it was very filling! Pretty quick and efficient staff. Nice clean location and quite minimal.

Very tasty. We got the spring rolls and the stir fried lemon grass tofu. Both had a ton of flavor. Staff was attentive and very nice. The restaurant and the restrooms were clean. I would come again

Wait a shame that this place has gone downhill since I have last been here over a year ago... the waiter we had was very friendly and the fried tofu appetizer wasn't bad. However, it took over half an hour just for the chicken glass noodle soup to come out. The soup was so bland that I had to add multiple spoons of chili sauce to give it some type of flavor. The chicken was also very dry and overcooked. The booth seats are also very loose so if you lean back at all it will move the other customers and vice versa with them bumping you back... My friend also thought her pho wasn't good at all. Just take a look around at the main demographic dining there which are mostly non-Asians. Just make the extra 20 minute drive and get way better noodle soups in Centreville.

Went here... again -- after the DC Bubble Run 5K, my friends and I were hungry and drained and I recommended this place (they've never been). They absolutely loved it! The Pho cured us and end of story, this place is great. PS: Service was great and ambiance was chill since we went at opening lol

The pho was delicious! The short rib pho had a really nice beef flavor. I got the bun Bo hue and the lemongrass in the broth really came through! They also had whipped Thai iced teas which was a fun little twist on the classic drink Our server was really nice and helpful and the interior was really spacious

Yelpers enticed me with their 4-5 star reviews. Located in a small strip mall, parking was easy. Staff was so friendly and accommodating. We had to move booths because the guy behind my seat kept butting his bench seat against my back. Staff always checked on us and food was delivered quickly. As far as food, I've had better IMHO, I am particular about my fried egg noodle with veggies and protein. The sauce didn't speak to me like other places. It was much sweeter and thicker than I'm used to eating. There was a good amount of fresh veggies and tofu. Hubby liked his massive bowl of Pho. The eggrolls were a tad greasy but they did have lots of pork filling.

One of the better Vietnamese places in the area. All the food here tastes pretty authentic and I haven't found something that I don't like. My favorite dishes are the shrimp lotus flower salad, Bo ne, and the pho is also pretty good. Service is pretty quick here too and as someone with a peanut allergy they are always very cognizant of removing peanuts from my dishes. Overall good casual Vietnamese place that doesn't require a trek to falls church!

This spot is nicely done, from the service, to the ambiance, to the food. My husband and I popped in before a flight and who seemed to be the owner sat us down right away, offering us water, and menus The restaurant itself was very modernly designed, and I knew the food was going to be good because a ton of Vietnamese locals flooded the place Great prices! I got the build your own pho bowl and my husband got the short ribs. The pho broth was sweeter and less peppery than I like but the flavor was still delicious, so I am keeping my review at 5 because that's just my preference in taste. The short ribs were tender and out of this world in my opinion. Amazing flavor. We also ordered spring rolls beef and shrimp and we both loved those as well We ate well and didn't leave hungry or broke. Will be coming back, thank you!

The service was super friendly, cold water, and flavorful and fresh food. I have ordered for delivery before, but eating there was a nice treat!

Our new go-to pho place. Good amount of seating and friendly wait staff. Bright and well lit space in a shopping center with plenty of parking. The crispy egg rolls are so hot and fresh and they have a hint of lemongrass that gives it a fresh touch. The pho broth is so 'clean' and refreshing. Not too murky like others and they give a good portion of meat and noodles. My favorite is the crispy egg noodles with beef and veggies. Good flavor, not too salty, and good portion

I got the house special pho Dac Biet ($17) and a viet iced coffee ($6). The food came out in about 8 minutes. The broth was quite solid, very savory and hot (temperature wise). There was a fair amount of meat and the overall quality of it tasted really well. The coffee was very solid. Sweet and strong , although it seemed that the to go cup had a bigger portion. Overall a very solid Vietnamese restaurant with good pho and coffee. I would come back again! Food(50%): 7.4 Staff/service(25%): 6.5 Value(25%): 6.5 Overall: 7.0/10

This is objectively the best viet place in nova. We ordered the lump crab fried rice, beef banana flower salad, and the chicken wings. The service was great. I remember we got pho from here in the past and that was gas too. Ambiance is bright, clean, and balanced feng shui. 10/10

We loved the speakeasy vibe and the unmarked door entrance that made the whole experience feel unique and elevated from the start. The atmosphere was elegant, intimate, and beautifully designed, making it the perfect place to relax and enjoy expertly crafted cocktails after dinner. The ambiance was cozy and intimate. The waiter was also super great! She very observant and timely with her dish deliveries and water refills. We decided to start with two small plates which were an excellent start to our experience. The Bourbon Glazed Pork Belly was absolutely delicious. From the sauces that were included on the dish to the perfectly cooked and seasoned potatoes... I definitely would recommend this dish to everyone that decides to visit Heirloom. Then the Oysters Rockefeller.... simply put, so much flavor! I then opted to get the Heirloom Burger. All the items that came on the burger added to the taste experience, however, my only wish was that the patty should have been seasoned a tad more. Despite that, my additions of bbq sauce and mayo added to the burger, where the seasoning kind of lacked. Overall, great experience. I will be back!

Their original spot in Manassas was forever on my list to visit, but it was just never on the way. SO happy this is open close to home! No doubt, the best crab cakes I've had in Virginia. Besides the crab cakes, we also liked the shrimp. The fish and the wings were just fine, but nothing exceptionally special in our opinion. Don't skip out on the hush puppies! Our first visit last summer we came at 5pm and thought we'd be fine getting a table for 3- it was the very last one. I guess depending on the day and time it can get packed!! The wait was longer than I expected, but understandable considering how busy they were- it seemed like everyone showed up at the same time. Vibes were good, their music playlist was great. The crab cake is not full of breading and filler like a lot of crab cakes, so I was happy with that. I got the "Goliath" crab cake platter, which came with hush puppies and a side, and I paid the extra $2.50 for the seafood salad. The hush puppies were cooked perfectly and were pretty tasty, a little sweet like I prefer them, and also pretty filling. I was a bit disappointed in the seafood salad since the dressing that is used overpowers the taste of the imitation crab, which is what I wanted to taste. I love the sweetness of the crab, but didn't taste it at all. Overall, I was happy with my food but I can't say I will eat here very often as my meal was $42 without including the tip, and for one person and a meal that barely filled a to go box it's a bit much. However, if I crave a crab cake sandwich, I will stop in again and try that.

I would recommend a reservation because with rain outside aka the patio being closed, the whole inside was packed. A lot of the seats are super close which feels very European but you can hear most peoples conversations which can be annoying. Our waitress was really sweet and stopped by a bunch. We started with French 75's, hot coffee, and an espresso martini. The drinks were refreshing and quite large for the price. The espresso martini really reminded me of a grown up hot chocolate, I really enjoyed it. I later also got a cucumber vodka martini and it was one of the most refreshing drinks I've ever had - definitely the drink of the summer. For our food we started with the baked brie with fig and garlic and the escargot. The brie was a unique take on baked brie, I loved the way the flavors all melded and the fact the cheese wasn't completely spilling out everywhere. The escargot was soft with a phenomenal crumb/butter mix, the whole things really melded well and melted in your mouth. The bread served with it was nice as well, if only I had a bit more of it. For our mains we were here during brunch so we got the lobster omelet and the French onion soup with the side of fries. The french onion soup was great, a good amount of cheese and onions without being overwhelming. Fries were fantastic and quite large, a big portion for $7. They hooked it up with the amount of lobster. I would definitely come back to try their lunch tasting menu or other brunch items as well!

The short ribs fell apart without a knife bc they were sooo tender and the desserts were expertly crafted. I might go back just for dessert yum!! The Brie appetizer was enjoyable though a little small if splitting. The shrimp cocktail were very traditional. I enjoyed them. My husband loved the homemade baguette although I wonder if it's because the butter was so good; the bread itself was a little hard for me and of course room temp as is typical in France. Kids enjoyed the kids options (though preferred our dishes). Pasta in cream sauce and steak frites were their choices. It was really loud inside particularly when tables in the middle of the room were occupied. Outdoor patio might be pleasant for easier conversation. Also bring a sweater- if you end up under an ac vent, it can be cold.

Despite a packed Father's Day crowd, the kitchen never missed a beat. The Crab & Corn Chowder was beautifully presented--rich, velvety, and generously loaded with sweet crab meat. As someone who typically favors the briny, ocean-forward oysters of the Pacific Northwest, I was impressed by the depth of flavor and refreshing salinity these East Coast selections offered. The grilled Arctic char was cooked with precision, its fattier flesh remaining moist, flaky, and remarkably delicate. In front of customers, he addressed staff in a manner that came across as rude, condescending, and unprofessional. He referenced scheduling demands and appeared dismissive of their hard work during a busy influx of guests. Rather than improving service, his tone created visible tension and added stress to the dining room. We are weekly diners and know many of the staff by name. Watching them be publicly belittled while they continued providing excellent service made all four of us uncomfortable enough to leave earlier than usual. We understand everyone can have an off day, but this did not reflect the standard of professionalism and hospitality we've come to expect from Burtons. Their hardworking staff did not merit their leader's negative conduct that day. We value this restaurant and its team and hope this feedback is taken constructively. If he is the manager in charge on Wednesdays we will not return. Aside from the uncomfortable incident I will note the food is excellent, the waiters, hosts, bartenders, chefs are all wonderful. (end of original review) Response from~ Ivy E on February 27th replied to our review verbatim: "Alejandro, this is very troubling to read. I am so sorry that anything I say to my staff would ever be construed so negatively, certainly to the extent it would ruin someone's experience at our restaurant. I certainly welcome the opportunity to be able to discuss this with you further. I would cherish a moment of your time to deep dive into this. There are two things that are extremely important to me: my staff and the guest experience. Burtons embraces 7 Defining Principles and one of those is "Quality." My staff's quality of life is always at the forefront of my mind. If they are happy, then they will hopefully take great care of our guests. I would never ever be dismissive of their hard work as you have referenced and tend to go out of my way to thank them for their hard work. I am a big fan of the high five and Wednesday there was a lot of high 5's being thrown around. So please feel free to seek me out and hopefully after an actual conversation with one another, with any luck we can walk away with a better understanding of one another's thought process." (end of Ivy E. Business Affiliated Reply) :::Update::to Business response: Ivy or Larry?, Thank you for responding. I think? I want to be honest. The reply felt defensive and focused on intent rather than on the guest experience that was described. There was absolutely no acknowledgment that the interaction may have been uncomfortable for those in the dining room, and no apology for that impact. A client-first response usually begins with listening, taking ownership of how something was experienced, and offering reassurance that it will be reflected on or remedied. Instead, the emphasis seemed to be on explaining why the behavior would not have been dismissive. Gpt Much? We are weekly diners. We were there. There was a row of us. The atmosphere shifted. It became tense and uncomfortable enough that we left early feeling bad for other diners and especially the staff on hand. That has never happened before. Regarding the invitation to speak one on one, it is difficult to feel comfortable pursuing that when the initial response does not acknowledge or apologize for what occurred plus based on our experience is intimidating to be honest. Before a private conversation can feel constructive, there needs to be recognition of the impact that was described publicly. This is not about attacking anyone's character. It is about accountability and maintaining the standard of professionalism that made us regulars in the first place and most that was thanks to the wonderful staff that was being pummeled by your ire. This is also not a bot-gpt-dry pr response. It may be well for you to know I'm also being very considerate and mindful in my review in comparison to the guests and fellow diners who witnessed this behavior wish me to be. We hope this feedback can simply be received in that spirit and that Burton's as a whole can make sure that should they feel the need to be short with their employees they can do so in a manner that is more private, constructive, and away from our dining experience. At the minimum in a more professional manner and conduct. Alejandro
