Came here the other day since my husband was looking for a new Pho place near us (we are not as happy with the one we usually go to in this area) and we were surprised at how much we enjoyed dining here. First off, love how spacious this restaurant is and the trees really add a nice and almost magical touch. Doesn't feel like your typical Pho place. The waitress was very nice and attentive. We ordered the spring rolls (great size!), an XL Beef Pho to share, chicken satay sticks for the kids, and the Tom Yum soup in small. The one thing I will say is - WOW - These portions are awesome! The XL Pho was enough to fill up both my husband and I. The Chicken satay sticks were an appetizer and filled up my kids! The spring rolls were also a very good size and the Tom Yum soup in small was enough for two people to share. We ordered a mango smoothie and boba at the end because of the yelp discount, but barely had any room in our stomachs to finish it! The only thing I would say is I wish the Pho came with more bean sprouts and basil - although to be honest, it really was enough even though we had an XL bowl. Didn't miss it once I mixed everything in. Our checks came with lollipops for the kids and hard candy for us. What a nice touch - the kids smiled knowing that someone was thinking of them! You pay at the counter on the way out which makes paying fast and easy. We will be back - glad to find a good Pho place in our area! read more

Saigon Cafe is a Vietnamese and Thai restaurant in a small strip mall near Publix. I went on Saturday April 13th at 6:30 PM with my husband, toddler and two friends. We ordered chicken satay and goi cuan as appetizers. The chicken satay was cooked well and the peanut sauce was good with it. The goi cuan is my personal favorite. It had fresh shrimp and pork in it with a sweet sauce. I also bought a Thai tea with tapioca pearls in it. It was very good and wasn't too sweet. For entrees I had beef pho, my husband had Rama curry, one friend had bourbon chicken and another friend had pineapple fried rice. The pho has a very light taste, not the most flavorful broth. The noodles were good and they gave me plenty of basil, lime, bean sprouts and jalapeños. They only had three sauces to liven up the broth...not a lot of choices. The Rama curry had a little bit of spice, it was mostly savory. The beef was tender and delicious. A very solid curry dish. The pineapple chicken fried rice was made spicy by my friends request. The rice was nice and fluffy, the chicken well cooked and the spices used were good. The bourbon chicken was nothing to write home about. Fairly bland but was well cooked. The service was great. The staff really took care of us and refilled drinks often. They also paid great attention to the toddler at the table . Overall, this is a very solid restaurant. The food was consistent and good quality. I wish they had more sauce options and a more flavorful broth....but it was decent. I would come here again. read more

We've been coming here for around 5/6 years and they've always done an amazing job. Never have to wait, food always fresh and the staff is attentive. Recently I made an order through door dash but was unsure how to ask for a different sauce, so I called. The gentleman I spoke to described all the sauces and once I figured out what I wanted he asked me if I'd like additional. I figured they'd be smaller ones since we get Togo often BUT he gave me two LARGE containers and I was so happy. Most places don't give extra sauces free of charge, let alone give the largest container. I want to say thank you, and continue the great service. read more

I like Saigon Cafe. I think its pho broth is really good. But, some of their other dishes aren't as good as their Duluth location- like the Bánh Tôm could be crispier and the lemongrass pork could be more tender and flavorful. They're both good, just not as good as in Duluth. Still, I'm glad we have Saigon in this area and I'll continue to go there. Especially for the great pho. read more

Very happy to have found a nice Vietnamese restaurant near Marietta. This place is a little bit off the beaten path, but I was able to locate it with my trusty yelp app, and I was sure glad that I did! We used to go to another Vietnamese restaurant nearby, but I was much happier with this location for several reasons. For one, the inside is larger and roomier than the other one that is attached to a gas station, so there's is plenty of seating available. There is also a larger staff at hand, so service is faster. The menu is also more extensive. They have lots of appetizer, entree, and dessert options, including bubble and flavored teas. The thing I liked most was their portion sizes. We ordered the X-Large sized pho, and my goodness was it big! Our server made sure to let us know before we ordered, and so my wife and I split one bowl and could barely finish it. The price for it is also very reasonable - less than the price of two bowls of pho at most other places. My kids wanted some soup and chicken skewers, and the portions were plenty to fill them up. We also ordered the spring rolls, which basically tasted the same as you would find at most Vietnamese restaurants. I gave Saigon Café another try. This time I ordered pickup again, but ordered massaman curry with fried rice. Well the curry gravy with the massaman curry was little burnt (I think); it was brown and not golden yellow as other places I've enjoyed the dish. As far as taste it didn't taste like massaman that I've had at other places; the curry was just way overdone. And the fried rice once again failed to impress; it is just basically some sort of dyed rice. read more

Pho was decent, chicken satay was yummy, spring rolls were so so, cum bu luc lac (sp?) was good, just had too much oyster sauce, and the beef & brocolli was good. It was a Wednesday night so going to Buford Highway was out of the question. I had searched and found this place about 10 minutes from our home. I read the reviews and was willing to go and give it a try. I'm familiar with the shopping center but for some reason never gave this place a thought. We walked in and were pleasantly surprised at the warm atmosphere. Right away we were greeted and shown to a table. 2 servers ran up and took our drink and app order. Yes, I said 2! We took time to look over the menu and tried to choose an option of new things to try. Well, even though I have had many coconut soups, I had to try this one. When the server took our meal order she noted that I was ordering "a lot of soup"! LOL! I replied that I wanted to try a couple different things on the menu. We ordered; Small Coconut Soup (HUGE! Big enough to share) Fried Rolls with pork, shrimp, etc. (2) Medium Chicken Pho w/ shrimp (HUGE! Big enough for 2 or 1 hungry mama) Cold Rice Noodle Salad w/pork Each dish was AWESOME! I guess if I had to choose the cold salad was probably our least favorite, although fresh and tasty. Our entire conversation during this meal was "WOW!!! Why the freak have we not been here before?" "Nicolas (our oldest child) would freakin love this!" The service was off the chain!! The girls that helped us were just as good as a 5 star restaurant! This is coming from a service "snob". At best, the food is mediocre. The pho broth was somehow salty and bland at the same time. They also bring out the tiniest amount of bean sprouts. The rice vermicelli noodle dish which I think is a pretty simple dish to put together was quite bad too. The noodles were soggy, the egg roll tasted weird, and the fish sauce was bland. I was honestly baffled that the Yelp rating is 4/5. However, I suppose it's relevant to mention that I grew up eating Vietnamese food so I don't really like unauthentic versions of it. It's not like any of it was gross or extremely unpalatable.. but I would never choose to eat here (again) especially since it wasn't cheap either. However, I did order a half sugar medium green milk tea (free thanks to Yelp!) and that was surprisingly good. Service wasn't bad either. read more

A neighbor said they had a good experience here, and he was right. The Pho Ga I had was very good. Very fragrant and tasty stock filled with rice noodles. Tasty. I imagine this would be excellent comfort food (especially if you were nursing a cold). I got the extra large size. This was enough to feed two people. On one yelper's recommendation, we also got the A2 (Thit Nuong Cuon) with extra basil. I enjoyed this immensely. But the Cha Gio Chay seemed like so many other "spring rolls" I've had elsewhere. Not that this is a bad thing. They just didn't stand out. And my gf's Pad Thai was too sweet, and that was disappointing. That being said, service was very fast. That kitchen is well-practiced at turning out their dishes in good time. And it was clear that everyone in the place worked well together. There is a variety of "Asian" stuff on the menu. (Not just Vietnamese.) There's Chinese (like Mongolian Beef), Thai (like the aforementioned Pad Thai), and a few other things that I cannot ethnically identify. I'll definitely go back. Love the food here. I usually always get the cold noodle salad and it never disappoints. My chief complaint for years with this place is that they didn't serve beer and wine, but just noticed today in a review that someone mentioned they did. So either it's not advertised/off the menu, or it's a secret? If I found they did, I'd add this to the regular dinner rotation without a doubt. Update: they do not serve alcohol. I have a Pad Thai to go. Honestly it's mediocre. The noodles seem to be overcooked, its stick together, and soft. I prefer noodles that cooks to the right time, which means its will be soft but still provide that elasticity feeling. The sauce is also okay, not something that truly impressive, I can barely remember much of what its taste likes since there's no distinctive flavor that I can immediately recalled. The tofu seem to be left for a long time, it's not crunchy, just having this boil feeling. Overall, food is 3/5. read more

I work in Chamblee/Norcross and have access to authentic Pho and other Vietnamese and Asian cuisine. Their Pho is good, but not outstanding, however it is not bad, just not what you would expect over in the Asian area of Atlanta. The Chinese and Thai dishes are good enough. It's as if the cuisine has been adjusted for the American pallet. Since this is in my neighborhood and I have a Pho craving on the weekend, I don't have to drive an hour to satisfy it. read more

I love love love the fact that I can customize my pho! I'm one of those weirdos that only likes rare steak and tripe, and if they have meatballs then omg give me a t-shirt and call me a fan! Not to mention...not all Vietnamese meatballs taste the same...the best ones that I've ever had were hand made by my ex-girlfriend's mom. Second best? You guessed it! This place! Isn't that neat? I don't even have to find a way back to my ex's house to get some awesome Vietnamese food. A little thing about pho, it comes with a little side dish. The dish includes cilantro, parsley, bean sprouts, jalapeño peppers and lime. If you like bold flavors, add the cilantro. You like refreshing tastes, add the parsley. Bean sprouts...eh...I'm not a fan of wet crunchy veggies. The lime is a great thing to add to enhance the flavor of the stock. Jalapeno...obviously if you can't handle heat don't add lol. I personally love it. On the table you can find some sauce plates, they're smaller and look like coasters. Grab one of those and add some hoisin sauce, it's the black sauce in the tall bottle. Don't get it mixed up with soy sauce! The hoisin sauce is for the meats that came with the pho. If you like spicy stuff, add some sracha (for the love of god how do you spell that red Asian hot sauce?) to the hoisin. It is delicious! Oh and highly recommend the Vietnamese fresh spring rolls. They come with peanut sauce. There are also fried Vietnamese spring rolls and they go with fish sauce. I know, sounds weird, but duh...it's Asian food. They all sound weird. This is the second time I have eaten here, and I've got to say it was very disappointing. The staff were friendly and attentive and the decor is nice, but the food itself is lacking. I ordered the Com Bo Luc Lac(Also known as Shaking Beef) with fried rice. The filet mignon was flavorful and juicy, especially combined with the onions. On the other hand the fried rice was a dollar extra and was extremely bland. This poor excuse of fried rice had nothing in it besides what seemed to be a miniscule amount of tumeric to turn it orange in color. Not only that, but there was a small silver and black hair in my food.This is no big deal to me as I know hair nets can only do so much, I tossed it aside and continued my meal. For a meal around the $12-$13 mark I could not recommend this to anyone. If you're expecting authentic Vietnamese food I suggest looking elsewhere. On the bright side, the guava candies at the end of the meal were mad tasty. read more
