That's a bold statement, but what you get when you go there is excellent service, a nice and clean ambience with soft music, followed by delicious and authentic real Thai food. So the ambiance is great and the dining room is only open on mon-Friday But the service is bad. Got to the restaurant at 6:30 and didn't get our order till 8 . I tried ordering 2 items and both were no longer available. The third item I ordered was pad Thai and I asked for a half order and when it got to the table I received a huge amount of and ask if it was a half order. The manager said we don't do half orders then why did the waitress take the order or inform me. So he took my dinner and said I no longer have to pay for it. I won't be back!!!! I love Thai food but it always over price and then they give so so little food. Portion size are smaller than a kid meal at McDonald's.

A little place hidden in a little strip mall area...it should be in a place with more foot traffic. The food was decent. I think they cater to non-spicy more in their spice level for the food. The chicken pad thai is some of the best that I've had, excellent traditional flavors. I'm so glad we found this hidden gem! It is clearly authentic Thai and cooked to order. Bland food. Long wait...for bland food. And an incorrect order. Waited 20 mins for 2 orders of Panang Curry (Thai Hot) and Medium spice and an order of spring rolls. Also asked for soy sauce and spicy mustard when paying. Was told that they did not have spicy mustard but they did have soy sauce. Soy sauce was never provided. Thai food should be full of flavor in every bite. This food was the worst! My lean cuisines have more flavor. Seriously, Thai hot Panang Curry was not super hot. The medium Panang Curry was just bland with no kick. No soy sauce to attempt to add flavor. The portions are small...not that I wanted more of this. And they forgot to add the spring rolls. This place is a solid Thai restaurant. During this Covid time of take out only business I feel like some of the beauty that comes with Thai food was masked by the to go containers. I went with the third level of spice on all of my food. It provided a decent kick. When I go back I would likely take it up notch. The fresh spring rolls were small but delicious. I could eat 4 or 5 of these. They had a nice flavor and a good mix of noodles, greens, and the fake crab. I enjoyed my spicy fried rice. It was a great sized portion for the price. It had a nice mix of vegetables that were served a shade over el dente. My favorite! I also like how they make their masaman curry. It was rich with a nice punch of that Thai spice! The curry was thicker than some of the other local places. I am curious about their other curries. One really frustrating component was that the phone number didn't work when I tried to call ahead of time. When I got there I told him, then showed him what I meant by calling . This restaurant came recommended to us from a few people who live in the area and have tried all the local Thai joints. They close mid-afternoon, but that staff couldn't be nicer. They were friendly, quick, and took the time to accurately verify ingredient questions. Unlike almost all other Thai places on the NW side of Atlanta, they do not add soy to their curries (yay!). They do use vegetable oil so fried food is out for those of us with soy allergies. We tried the veggie panang and massaman curries and enjoyed both. The panang had a good amount of flavor, but wasn't too/extremely spicy. Massaman had that softer flavor and was a group favorite. My spouse also got Thai Pad and enjoyed it. He said it was one of the better ones he's had in the area. I also have to compliment the team on their packing. It is so refreshing to have takeout food well packaged. Thai Ginger staff, I see you! Thank you for taking the time to place cardboard between containers, especially as curry commonly spills in cars. To be honest, even IF the food wasn't great, I'd still come here for the takeout thought-process and ease! Really glad we found this place. I am so very jealous that my best friend lives only a mile away from the BEST Thai food I have ever had. DO YOU GUYS REALIZE HOW LUCKY YOU ARE??? A solid 3.5 star. I found this place on Yelp and decided to check it out. Its located in a sleeping shopping center on Bells Ferry. It's not a place you would go if you didn't know it was there..... I got the Chicken Pad See you and the Basil Fried rice. the pad see you was okay. Not over the top memorable but decent. The Basil fried rice had a kick to it which I wasn't expecting but it was also decent. The gentleman that took my order and gave me my food (it was take out) was also the owner. He explained how he use to own a restaurant in New York city and also in New Jersey before moving to Atlanta. It must be a family owned place because his sweet daughter was also there helping behind the counter. Overall I think the food is good and decent. If I'm in the area again I wouldn't mind stopping by again only because the owners were so nice. read more

New Thai Ginger was the closest Asian place with a great Yelp rating, so they were the choice of the day. We came in and saw that soup and/or salad came with their lunch menu. They have a large number of choices at very reasonable prices and I ordered the Pad Ga Pow with beef at a medium spice and Jo (my wife) order the Garlic Pepper with Chicken. We had a choice of a small salad (3 types) and soup (two types) or a larger bowl of soup or a larger salad. We both went for the small spicy vegetable soup and small ginger salad. After a wait our soup and salad came, the soup was similar to tum Yum with no protein and the salad was nice. My Pad Ga Pow or Basil beef still had a good level of spice for medium and had lots of flavor with fresh vegetables. Jo's Chicken Garlic Pepper was mild but also tasty. Both entrees had a nice sized portion of white rice. Food & Beverage 4.5 - Food has lots of flavor and well prepared. I expect that the food can be very spicy as we were on the low end having hot, super hot with the highest level being Thai Spice!!! Service 2-3 - Fairly attentive, a little slow for lunch time if your pressed for time. Atmosphere 3.5 - Nice clean with Thai decor. Have always ordered the Pad Thai. Portion size is large, enough for 2. Comes with excellent TomYum soup, and salad. I also get Spring Rolls. The Pad Thai flavor is okay but just a C rating. Pricing is good. You have to have plenty of time to spend to eat here. Unfortunately I only have a hour for lunch. I have even tried to work with this by calling in my order to eat there. Last time I called in, drove and sat down, received my soup and salad, but after 40 minutes from when I called I had still not gotten my entree. Sorry I had to leave and ended up with Krystal on the way back to work. Called the restaurant to discuss it, and was told " not to eat there if I don't have the time". So unfortunately I will not be back. I do have to say that the Tom Yum soup is excellent though. read more

Not on your head all the time nor they give you a chance to call them when needed. Decent thai menu. I have ordered Basil fried rice and red curry both with chicken. They had spice levels from mild to thai hot (Note bland but real thai HOT). Before you get your entrees they give you a spring roll for each entree you have ordered and also you get to choose a salad (3 diff dressings) or soup (2 types). I had the salad with ginger dressing its the best! The coconut soup came with mushrooms and chicken in it, pretty decent. Both the entrees were flavorful and food was fresh, i mean no rubbery or soggy meat. Just perfection. The prices are very affordable compared to any fancy restaurants. A search on Yelp turned this place up so I grabbed a co-worker and stopped in for lunch. It's easy to find although you may get a feeling of deja vu. It looks like a dozen other suburban Asian restaurants I've been to, both on the outside and inside. PROS: Comfortable setting, good service. Thai iced tea - unusual in that it wasn't mostly ice in the glass as you get at many Thai places. It's reasonably tasty, too. Spicy vegetable soup is a welcome change to the usual lunch sides and also is reasonably tasty. Pad Khing and Pad Prik - both prepared with good ingredients. Tasted fresh. Portions not too small or too large for lunch. Good value. CONS: Pad Khing and Pad Prik - both ordered 'super hot' and both merely 'somewhat spicy'. Two guys looking for hot Thai food left disappointed in that regard. Spicy vegetable soup also isn't very spicy. Standard fried roll that demanded a hot dip, not the sweet stuff they deliver. We asked for hot mustard but they had none. Sensing a theme here. Thai Ginger is A-OK. I'd certainly entertain coming back if invited by others, but it wouldn't be my first choice for Thai in the area. That honor probably goes to Bangkok Cabin. read more

We were in the mood for some Thai yesterday so based on reviews here decided to give New Thai Ginger a try...glad we did. The gentleman(apparently owner) who took our order over the phone was extremely pleasant and courteous. I'm used to when I order from an Asian places it basically going like: Ok, you want #2, what else...ok #8 what else...Ok, 10mins bye.. This gentlemen wasn't trying to just rush you off the phone and repeated the entire order back and made sure it was right. When we got there to pick it up, they actually have a nice dining room(although I'm not sure if it's open). Anyway, the same kind gentleman brought our food and rang us out and was very kind all the while. Excellent and kind service (at least from our phone in/pick up experience). The food was very tasty and good portion size. We had Chicken Pad Thai, Basil fried rice, Chicken Satay, Sticky rice with mango. All was very good. Price-wise, we were very happy as well... Very affordable. We will definitely be coming back. P.S. There is a Mexican Taquiera and bakery next door... They have good Tres Leches cake and have many homemade breads and Tamales. read more

We tried shrimp fried rice (absolutely delicious!!!), steamed dumplings (not how I'm used to but more like a very tasty, partially wrapped meatball), pork musman curry (slightly under seasoned but my fault for ordering it mild), and chicken pad Thai (good, not great). Overall, we don't have many local options for Thai food, so I'm sure I will order again. I'll probably stick to Bangkok Cabin a few miles away for the pad Thai. read more
