One of the few Chinese restaurants left where you can get authentic food and a solid combination platter that includes soup an egg roll, and a main dish. In fact the only Chinese restaurant in this area that still serves fried wontons w meat in them. My food tasted great, from the soup to the dish. Very happy a friend of mine recommended this place. Very clean tasting and well priced. While i waited for my order i saw the chef rocking orders. In between each order he heated the wok until smoke point put hot water and scrubbed the living Jesus out of the wok. This is my entree and rice from the Moo Goo Gai Pan dinner combo. The soup, Rangoon, eggroll, and wonton strips were already consumed. It's difficult to tell from the picture, but this is a LOT of food for under $10. The container is about 6"x9"x2" and it is full of volcanically hot goodness (temperature). I am leaving an honest review but don't know if it will do any good now that I look on Yelp and see other dated reviews similar to what mine is about to say. I don't believe the owners of this establishment will take any critical review or feedback to heart nor make any changes. Tonight we ordered take-out through the restaurant's website. When you select the option to order online it appears you are taken to a third party site - BeyondMenu. We ordered two combination platters and two appetizers and a side of fried rice. I ordered Dragon Horse Chicken as the entree in my combo platter. It was denoted with a spicy symbol. I've had this before and was really looking forward to it. If you Google this dish you'll see across the entire world wide web it's pictured as a fried dish with strips of battered chicken, dark brown sauce and cooked with peppers (hence the spicy factor). Our order was supposed to be delivered in 45 minutes. We live 12 minutes away. It was a Tuesday evening at 5:30 when I placed our ordered. Seemed reasonable. 90 minutes later we still didn't have our dinner. I called to inquire about it. It was on the way I was told when I spoke with a woman who was apologetic. A few minutes later food arrived. We hungrily unpacked our order. What was delivered was surely a mistake. It was a dish that looked like pieces of poached chicken, "crab" claw, squash, carrots, mushrooms, white sauce and about a dozen red pepper flakes (total). I called the restaurant...again. Explained what I ordered vs what I received and this time the man I spoke with was not apologetic in telling me the dish I received was their special version of Dragon Horse Chicken. OK.... so it wasn't fried, it wasn't spicy, it contained seafood.... not the dish that is traditionally known as dragon horse chicken. So I asked for a refund. He reluctantly gave me one and told me to never order from them again. No problem, dude, we weren't planning on it. The eggrolls and "crab rangoon" they add to their combination platters were really flavorless and inedible. My husband's Mongolian beef was too sweet. The only one in our family who liked their food was my son who got the beef skewers appetizer. These were large and plentiful. But not enough to ever have us ordering from here again. Mediocre at best. If you're craving truly tasty Chinese, do yourself a favor and go elsewhere...and don't order delivery unless you're prepared for a VERY long wait. read more

I'm visiting some relatives in Roswell. I'm from Maine and when they proposed to have someone pick up Chinese. I got ridiculously excited and was flabbergasted when I saw the menu. Don't listen to people when they say Chinese food is the same everywhere, it's a lie. The first thing I searched for was the combination plates. I hadn't ordered food in a few months (I'm a little obsessed with buffets) but I remembered those usually had the most food for the best price. I was not disappointed! The food was fantastic. I ordered the CO15, or the beef teriyaki. I had no idea what it was or what to expect, but I was pleasantly surprised! It was tasty and the vegetables weren't soft and undercooked. The beef was cooked very well. The price was reasonable. I was presently surprised to see that I not only had an egg roll but also a crab Rangoon. I had read the menu incorrectly, but it was a wonderful surprise. Overall, I loved it and I look forward to eating there again the next time I visit Georgia! read more

Online ordering is convenient once you get the hang of the app. Friendly service once you get there, and most of the cashier staff speaks good English. If you order over $40 or so, you get an additional free entree'. Preferred dishes are Szechuan Beef, Shrimp Fried Rice, Egg Foo Yong, Cashew Chicken. Excellent almost all of the time. Tip from the house: if you are ordering online and eligible for the free entree', make a note asking for it elsewhere in your order; don't order the free entree as its own item, or you will throw your total off. read more

GROSS! I'm visiting my family from out of town. Was craving Chinese. Saw this restaurant with 4.1 stars...unfortunately I did not read current reviews. This place smelled funny, kind of like a horse stall. This should have been a big red flag to us. We were in a hurry, so we went right up to the counter and ordered our food, then sat down to wait. Looking around, I saw that it's not a clean place. the counters, floors, tables, windows, glass door were all VERY dirty. Then when I went to use the restroom, after I waited for who appeared to be either the cook or owner, it was disgusting, filthy dirty and there was pee all over the seat and on the floor in front of it. As we sat there waiting for our food, three men came in, entered the glass door, stood there for a moment, looked around, then left. I said to my daughter, we should have done the same thing. We took our food home. I have to say we had to throw out the wonton soup. It had a bad flavor, and the noodles tasted stale. The peas in the fried rice were hard and dry. These people were SO rude. We order from here all the time and I'm not sure if they were stressed due to the "lots of orders tonight" or not, but they were snappy with my aunt and I when we inquired about the food we'd ordered almost two hours before. They claimed to have attempted delivery, but we'd gotten no call, no knock, and no ring on the doorbell. We'd even gotten hung up on and yelled at by these employees. Ever since Panda Cafe did away with their combo platter like this I've been looking for a new "place." I ordered the chicken with mixed vegetables, fried rice and wonton soup. I've had hot and sour soup all my life, so I've decided to branch out lately with wonton and love experimenting with it. My husband places the order while I'm driving home and by the time I arrive, the delivery guy is leaving. I don't know the exact times or how much time the restaurant told my husband, but it was around 35-40 minutes. Perfect! I come home to a hot meal! The perfectionist in me loves the neat, clean and organized packing style as well. Nothing is worse that a horrible packing job that leaves sauces leaking and mismatched containers. Plenty of packets of soy sauce, duck sauce, hot mustard and fortune cookies. Love it. This time, I didn't tear open the bag and sacrifice any fortune cookies. The chicken and vegetables were plentiful. There was definitely more meat and veggies than rice, which I like. Topped with a teriyaki/brown sauce concoction of some sort, the meat and veggies were perfectly flavored and not so drenched that you can't taste what you're eating. Crispy celery, crunchy water chestnuts, large chunks and chicken and broccoli, it came together very well and I loved every bite. The wonton soup was really good, too. A really nice broth-to-wonton ratio that paired very well with the fried wonton noodles. I always get extra crispy noodle things to put in my soup because I don't like eating just broth. Unwillingly, I gave my husband my crab ragoon because he gave me puppy dog eyes the whole time. He didn't order a combo platter and was wishing he had. He ate it in one bite. Not kidding. One. Bite. Considering his nickname is the "Human DisposALL" I took that as a good sign. Finally, the egg roll. The quintessential take-out necessity. I've had plenty of egg rolls in my life and, unfortunately, this wasn't amazing. The crisp outside looked really good until I bit into it. The flavor and texture were good, but it was too greasy for me. The grease trickled down on my hand and ran down my arm. They fried the crap out of that egg roll. Really good, just greasy. The woman on the phone was nice, that was the extent of my good experience with this place. I ordered orange chicken. As most people know it is similar to sesame or general tso's chicken but with orange peel and hot peppers. Well what I got was a container of breaded chicken cutlets cut into strips (not freshly done, probably frozen) and then a separate container of pale yellow orange sauce. Normally I'd give these folks a three with a A-Ok. However, on my 22-hour drive home during Hothlanta 2014, they were a welcome stop while I figured out what bridges over the Hooch were open. The folks running the place walked in to be able to serve the handful of folks on their way home or walkers from the adjacent neighborhoods. The service was gracious, the bathroom was clean, and that was everything I could hope for. This is a pretty straightforward Americanized Chinese Restaurant. This place gets zero stars from me. We ordered food for delivery and got a time estimate of 50 minutes until arrival. This place is 2miles from our home. After 60 minutes and no delivery, we called back and were brushed off and told that the food would be here within 10 minutes. After the food was not delivered within that 10 minutes we called again and were told to give it a few more minutes. After a total of 90 minutes after the order was originally placed and still no food, we began calling to ask for our money back. We were on the phone for 30 minutes on and off hold and told they would not cancel the order or refund us because the driver "was close", yet when asked to confirm that with the driver we were told the driver would not answer the store's phone calls. The store also hung up on us during this process instead of listening to us and figuring out a solution. Two hours after the order was placed we were promised we would get a refund that supposedly has to be done via the bank directly. If you want terrible service, rude employees, and want to wait free hours for your food, go right ahead. This mom and pop store lost our business forever. read more

Chicken quality is subpar. I've been here several times before and I think I've finally had enough poor food. The chicken is always fried in chunks that are too thick so it doesn't get cooked the same all the way through. Sometimes its been chewy. The wonton soup doesn't smell that great imo. The taste of it is just ok. The Hot and Sour soup is ok, smells fine though so I guess it has that going for it. Also, the worst thing to me, is they don't even allow you to add vegetables to anything, no matter how much extra you offer to pay. Once I've even been charged for extra broccoli on a dish that came with (cause of course, they refused to allow any other option) and it didn't even seem like they added any extra to it. Just looked like a normal amount. Terrible customer service. I really hope this place improves though because it's so conveniently located. read more

I have never had so much meat in the fried rice anywhere else, let alone the amount of meat in the sweet and sour chicken and the beef teriyaki. Unknowingly, exposed to a severe allergen and they didn't care, read on for the explanation. After moving to the Atlanta metro area in late August of 2012, my wife and I have spent a lot of time trying to get to know our surroundings and try local restaurants. Today was no exception, and we had a nice young man deliver a take-out order menu in the afternoon to our door. After some consideration and the fact that we had planned to watch the divisional round of NFL football, we made a family decision to order delivery. My first impression of this restaurant was not good when I spoke to a lady at the restaurant to clarify some menu items. She was very rude and not very informative. Now, as someone with a severe shellfish allergy, I like to be clear if the spring rolls or egg rolls have any type of seafood in them. She said merely that the "Shang-hai Spring Roll" was rice paper with vegetables wrapped inside and fried, and then condescendingly said "like all spring rolls, you know?" I took the high road and placed the order after conferring with my wife. The food wasn't bad for the money & it was fairly on par with other Chinese restaurants in the same price bracket. But, the surprise came after I already consumed one spring roll. My wife began eating one afterwards and, in a more lady-like fashion, she ate it in several bites rather than two like me. She discovered and quickly alerted me to the fact that it had 1 or 2 pieces of shrimp in the roll. This is where the restaurants rating drops significantly. My wife called back and asked to speak to a manager to find out if there was a mistake or if this is a standard ingredient. So, my wife called and asked to speak with a Manager or someone in charge. The same lady responded "NO, you'll talk to me." After confirming who she was and that she had recently placed an order my wife explained what happened. I, on the other hand, promptly went through "allergen exposure protocol" to avoid going to the hospital. I''m sure that anyone with an insect, food, or other severe allergy knows what I'm talking about. After my wife neared completion of her explanation of the situation, this same lady responded with, "I told him, if he's sick it's his own fault, you're wrong. I told him we're not to blame." Now, I trust this is not a business who is intent on poisoning their patrons, but with customer service like this it is very hard to believe they would care if they did. Honestly, I would have been content with an apology and even a hint of empathy. Instead, we received insults to our integrity and almost sociopathic apathy. My advice is to eat at another local Chinese Restaurant. This is the Atlanta metro area and there's quite a few less than a mile from this one. read more
