The food here is always good; however, today I received food that had hair in it. Once I got to my office & realized it I called back right away but due to my lunch being over I was unable to go right back. I called back to inform them I would just come another day & they just said no problem. When I called today, I was told they can't/won't remake food from an incident that happened 2 days ago. This is ridiculous, first if you can in an order it isn't even made until you get there so that's the reason there was no opportunity for me to go back, ran out of time before I ever got back to the office with my food. Manager said she'd give me 20% discount, no way you can keep the entire 100%. Poor management & inexperienced staff. Ok, so here's the thing. This place has great food but the service is horrible. This is a three strikes and you're out review. Twice I've placed call in orders and was told that it was be 20 min. I get there 20-25 min later and still have to wait upwards of 30 min. Today was the last straw though. I placed my order, was told that it would be 20 min...yeah right. I show up 30 min later and I'm told that what I ordered is no longer sold during lunch hours. What? So no call back, no making an exception since you actually took my orders. We have been rather frequent patrons of Saigon Kitchen for several years primarily because it's the only Thai place in town. And it's not really Thai as the menu lists Chinese, Vietnamese, Japanese and Thai selections none of which has been especially good or unique to me. I'm well aware that restaurants of all description and specialty have been hit particularly hard the past two plus years. I understand the wild increases in menu prices; however, I do not understand why the quality of food and its preparation has so noticeably declined. This weekend my wife and I had dinner here. I ordered my usual, house red curry, my wife ordered her favorite, Pad Thai. My meal was more than disappointing, very bland, no spices, no ginger, no water chestnuts, no bean sprouts, no bamboo shoots, no Thai hot peppers and the most watery coconut milk broth I've ever had. My wife said her meal was also a disappointment. All in all, I regret feeling compelled to write a negative review of a local business but Saigon Kitchen's loyal patrons deserve better -- indeed, all their customers deserve better quality meals for the prices being charged. We won't be going back until either I forget our last visit or I hear favorable reviews from several sources. read more

I'm very surprised this place is still open. The food is good, however it takes a ridiculous amount of time for it to reach you. The service is terrible. My server got my drink wrong after I had to wait for it for ten minutes even though the business wasn't busy at the time. This was the first strike. Then she was sloppy in her service by sitting down a dirty dish back on my table in order to serve another table: strike two. Strike three was the fact that this is not the first time all of this has happened. I have been in this restaurant multiple times over the years. Each time I come in, I say the same thing "the food is good but the service is terrible." I don't know if the owners just don't know how terrible the servers are, can't afford to hire good ones, or just don't care. Either way, something should have changed by now. read more

I found this place on i75 quickly because I had a mega craving for Bun (rice vermicelli noodles with raw cucumbers, carrots, mint, bean sprouts, cilantro, fish sauce and your choice of protein). I ordered a beef version of this and it came out really as what I though tasted like Chinese Mongolian beef dumped on top of rice noodles, poor iceberg lettuce and a FEW shaved carrots. It wasn't tasteless but was a poor criss-cross of lousy Vietnamese and pretty good Chinese beef. It is, however, one of those restaurants that are several different types of food dumped into one building - that should have been my first warning. They had Chinese, "Vietnamese" and Thai. There were a few other customers around us that I could tell had Chinese food and seemed quite happy. So maybe I was just looking for the wrong thing here. On top of it all I had a very young server who knew hardly anything about the menu. He was not a very good waiter but did seem to care about our happiness there and came back (a little too) often. read more

We ordered combination pho and pad Thai. My sister really enjoyed the pad Thai. It's wasn't too sweet like most places. This is one of the best restaurants in all of South Georgia. The Pho and Pad Thai taste better than many that I've had in much larger cities. The portions are great, the price is especially awesome during lunchtime, and the taste is phenomenal. The service can sometimes be slow because so many people love it and it can suddenly be rushed by loads of hungry customers, but it's worth the wait. I love it! read more

I was surprised when I got there and there was a sign telling me that they don't cook take out orders until you arrive. The note explained that it was for food quality purposes. They prep it but wait until you get there to actually cook it. If you don't want to wait, you need to tell them so but recognize that it could impact the quality of the food (travel time). In the end, it only took a few minutes to come out and it wasn't a problem. the food was good and even handled the 20 minute drive home very well. Very good food. My wife and I had the Sichuan Tofu and the Special Pad Thai. We were passing through Tifton and looking for take out due to Coronavirus safety. We (I'm sorry to admit, didn't expect much) and we were very surprised to find the food very good to excellent. The reason we didn't expect high caliber is that we regularly eat the best Chinese in the country in NY and San Francisco and didn't expect that Tifton would be on a par. But...it's the chef who controls the flavors and he/she could be anywhere and resides here in Tifton. Each dish had a light sauce which bad Chinese never has. The spices in the Pad Thai sauce had a hint of vinegar which was a new experience and this imagination moved it into a much higher category for example. The vegetables were not overcooked and fresh...another sign that bad Chinese never provided. Etc, etc, etc. do yourself a favor and try it.... read more

This was a very pleasant surprise. Me and my girlfriend were stuck in tifton for the night and this was reccomended to us. We split the steamed pot stickers as an appatizer, we would not order them again only because we wound up stuffed! The pot stickers were delicious. I had the house red curry. The flavors were complex and wonderful. With the steamed rice to mix with the dish turned out wonderful. My girlfriend had the garlic chicken, sans-green peppers as they upset her tummy. I had her leftovers and I almost wish I had ordered that. Together with tip we got out at $36. Well worth it. Our server was great. I asked her questions and she answered quickly. She obviously also enjoyed the food and enjoyed her job as the only question she couldn't easily answer was what I should order! I give this place 5/5. They aren't gormet, but you aren't paying for gormet. The food is better than what you pay for, or cheaper than how good the food is. They are not without their problems though. Do not order take out and leave before checking that you have everything you ordered. Passing through Tifton and stopped for an early dinner at Saigon Kitchen. It was just before 5 pm and there were only a few tables occupied. We were seated and waited more then ten minutes for a waitress to greet us and take a beverage order. The waitress seemed like she was new, nervous, or simply didn't know what she was doing. The menu is broad and deep; however, our dishes were average in taste and presentation. We started with coconut soup (one tofu and one chicken). We waited a long time for the soup to be served; but, we were pleased with it. Our entrees were an Orange Chicken Sweet and Sour and Thai Curry (peanut red curry). Both dishes were tasty; but, not spectacular. With a little operational tweaking and server training, Saigon Kitchen could be a great local restaurant. As it is, we can only give Saigon Kitchen 3 stars. We would likely not visit again because the service and food does not match the price. read more

This place is disgusting. If you have ever had vietnamese/chinese/thai food at a restaurant that was bad ....this place can top whatever disgusting place you were thinking of. The pho tasted like mud water and the coconut chicken soup looked like chicken swimming in a 1/4 bowl of milk (not what it's supposed to look like). To top that off the menu is translated completely wrong and the reception boy was actually trying to convince me that their flat noodle soup was both pho & hu tieu (two completely different tasting soups). Always at a loss to find something to eat in Tifton when I come visit. My father is quite amicable to any of the chain fast casual places, but I'm always wondering what that new place is like. I convinced him to come with me to Saigon kitchen by saying, You'll like it, it's just Chinese food" knowing full well it had more to offer. Busy during lunch hour. We were seated promptly and waited on punctually and frequently. Their prices are amazingly reasonable for the amount of food you receive. I had the Lomein vegetables and he had the Mongolian teriyaki beef. My dish was heavy on the vegetables, which I like, and had plenty of tender thin rice noodles. The dish came with a bowl of egg drop soup. And I just realized it should have come with 1 egg roll but we never received that. I assume my father liked his because he cleaned his plate. Afterwards, he gave his version of approval stating "That was good. I would come back". Yay. Now if I can just get him to eat a salad. read more

We visited Tifton this weekend, and as fans of Asian food, decided to give this place a try. Wasn't sure what to expect in South Ga, but we found a great place to eat. We started our meal with egg rolls (actually the skinnier spring rolls that have the flakier, crispier wrapper) and they were so good we got a second order. Three of us had soup - two egg drop soups and one hot and sour. My daughter said she'd have loved a huge bowl of the hot and sour, it was that good. The egg drop got mixed reviews. Of the two who ordered it, one didn't like it, but the other person at hers and her sisters bowl, so my take is that if you like egg drop soup, it was good. We also tried the crab angles (rangoons) and they were crispy outside and creamy inside. I didn't taste much crab, but on the plus side, it didn't have any onion in it. Very good. At our table, we had two people order the General Tso's chicken, one ordered the Sweet and Sour chicken, one got the stir fried rice noodles with chicken (the one with the sweet brown sauce), and I got the masaman curry with chicken. The General Tso's and Sweet and Sour were good, nothing special. The "fried" rice appears to be just white rice with soy sauce - no eggs or veggies in it - and didn't appear to be fried. The rice is plain white rice, not jasmine which is what they truly serve at authenic Thai place, and sticky rice isn't an option. My masaman curry was different from what I get at other places, it didn't have the red tint to it, had completely different veggies - no potato, no avocado, and didn't have cashews. But it was very good, and my daughter liked it better than standard masaman. But the best dish was the stir fried noodles with shrimp. They were SO good. Not much shrimp and very little in the way of veggies, but the noodles were so flavorful. Our waitress was slow and not very attentive - we had to ask the bus boy for refills, but at least she wasn't rude. I told my aunt and uncle, who live in Tifton, how good it was and they are planning to go this week :) read more
