Probably only 1 of 2 Thai restaurants in Valdosta and it was good...definitely, held me up until I returned back to cali. My go-to curry is the Panang Curry and I typically judge it by how sweet it is, the type of vegetables and if there is a peanut flavor added. So, this wasn't too sweet, which was good. It had snow peas, carrots, onions and bell peppers...snow peas was an unfamiliar one for me, but it was really good. I don't care for the bell peppers since they had a green veggie. Carrots and onions are standard, although the carrots were cut like the ones that come out of the can...but I don't know. I wish it had the peanut flavor which would've made this curry really good. Overall, check them out. Place is clean, decent area and food is good. Not a long wait for food, server was nice and prompt. read more

Would not recommend this place at all. We were passing through on a road trip and ordered ahead 25 minutes in advance. The staff confirmed that the food would be ready by the time we got there. Upon arriving, we were told that our food was not ready and in fact, had not been started on. They said they had "lots of in-person customers" come after we ordered and they made their orders a priority instead. When we were there, there was only one table occupied with 2 customers finishing their food. Not to mention, they clearly gave other orders priority over ours despite ours being first and were completely unapologetic about it. It was a horrible experience, completely delayed our trip for no reason, and wasted our time. read more

Great Thai food! I've eaten in and gotten takeout many times and have never been disappointed.

Good food, with nice portions, ok service, prices are fair, very quaint and that's ok.

We always get take out, but have never had a bad meal. The steamed dumplings and pad Thai are great!

The ambiance was alright, the waiter was great - friendly and attentive, but the food was amazing! Some of the best Thai massaman curry I have had. When I come back to Valdosta this is where I'm going. Everyone else in my group also seemed to enjoy their meals. read more

Soooooooo I finally tried pho and it was from here. The owner was so nice she even made a few jokes about my lack of experience with pho and boa boa. I am NOT a tapioca fan ... the texture is like chewing someone else's already chewed gum but it was nice of her to let me try it free. I originally wanted it to go but she insisted that I stay and enjoy it in the bowl it should be served in. I'm so glad she did bc I loved it! It's all I have been able to think about this week. Tried this place based off of others' recommendation and it wasn't very good. I'm not sure if the original location may be better, but given that they have the same menu and is ran by the same people, I wouldn't imagine so, but I could be wrong. Anyway. I ordered the chicken pad Thai (safest choice) and it was soggy from over cooked noodles, not spicy even though I ordered Hot, looked pink and tasted sweet. I read the previous review and it was described as "ketchup with noodles" and I agree. My daughter ordered the fried rice, which is also super safe right?.... well not here apparently! It was BLAND, over cooked, dry and just... I mean, how can you mess up fried rice? Anyway, not sure I'll be quick to try the original location since this one was packed when I was there, and it Sucked. read more

Love this place and their other location! For me it has been consistently great. Prices are good and the service is super speedy. Dining in only took about 30 minutes total. Can't beat that! This has become one of my favorite spots in Valdosta. Having enjoyed a real foodie town like Louisville, KY I was worried we would NOT find great tasting authentic cuisine in such a small town. But Thai Chang 2 has never disappointed. The Pad Thai is a little sweet for my taste, but everything else has been spot on. Service is always quick. Food is always hot. Disappointed that frying your tofu costs $1.00 more! Never heard of such a thing. Waiter should have told us. Must have been very expensive oil! Pineapple fried rice was great, as was my egg noodle dish, but both cost extra because we were offered fried tofu when we ordered them with tofu, but not informed of this ridiculous up-charge. Complained, but the timid waiter didn't offer to remove the charges. Bad taste indeed. read more

My family and I have lived in several states across the nation and tried many different Thai restaurants and this is our favorite, hands down. The owner is super nice and the restaurant provides a taste of authentic Thai food that is hard to get in this part of Georgia. I do not agree with the previous reviews of the pad Thai tasting like "ketchup and noodles." The vegetables in each dish are fresh and the dumplings are beautiful. Thai Chang has been our favorite restaurant for YEARS! We started eating there in our college days at VSU. Now, we will drive 45 minutes just to get Thai Chang. So delicious, great service, nice people, very clean and authentic inside. We originally ate at Thai Chang out by the Air Force base, but Thai Chang 2 is closer. Both are phenomenal. read more
