Came in on a Sunday evening with a friend, restaurant seemed pretty quiet but there were a few other tables besides ours. We were sat immediately - but then waited a good 5 minutes for the host to come bring us waters, and a good 10 more minutes for our server to get to us to take our orders. I think they only had literally those two guys for FOH staff that evening, I am not sure if that is normal or if someone called in sick, but they really did the best they could with just the two of them and at least 8-10 tables while we were there. The food was really quite good, however and I would highly recommend the veggie eggrolls, and the Tofu Mushu with rice wrappers - my husband got this and the flavor was super delicious. I had the Lemongrass Tofu and that also was good. We would definitely come back, but be forewarned this likely isn't going to be a quick in and out dining experience! read more

Came here randomly with my boyfriend and this place was great! We ordered the shrimp crispy roll, steamed dumplings, and wonton soup and it was all delicious. Simon was our server and made our experience even better. He greeted us, had a few good conversations with us, and he kept checking on us to make sure we were doing ok. Might I add, we are from California so this place made our trip out in Colorado a bit better. I highly recommend coming to this place! read more

Don't order vegetarian pad Thai because you will not get any vegetables!!!!!! Shocked when charged 16.95 for noodles, bean sprouts and 4 small pieces of broccoli. When I asked they said no that is it. So I asked so for 3 more dollars I could of got shrimp and scallops? And was answered by no that is 19.95. Wow!!! Usually great service and food .... But server was rude and dismissive and so was manager (owner)! Wish I would of taken a picture before they took it away! Wow. Let me just say, everything here is super fresh and the quality is fantastic. I'm more of a chicken than red meat girl, and the chicken Pho is really really good. Also tried the Kung pao chicken which was very flavorful with an added kick. Shrimp spring rolls are very refreshing. I will be coming back regularly to try everything else!!! read more

Several members of our party fell ill after eating dinner (within an a few hours). I choose the Pho (rare steak) option, when the dish was served I looked at a piece of the meat and was astonished at how the meat actually looked - not a butcher, it just didnt look like any type of meat I had ever seen. I was going to leave this alone until I spoke with some of the members of my office and they shared similar stories (mostly how they have heard about "cross contamination" between unclean cooking areas where poultry and fish are cut). I can't imagine a place would do something like that, but we did all get quite ill from our experience. Perhaps the last thing one might expect to find in a rustic building in rustic Evergreen is not only a Vietnamese restaurant, but a FANCY Vietnamese restaurant, and this is one of the fanciest I've seen--notwithstanding the fact that the parking lot is about a block away up steep hill in residential district. The atmosphere is elegant and urban and wouldn't seem out of place in fashionable parts of California. Very little seems Asian in the decor, but it still works. You sit on wide and comfy elegant chairs. There are white tablecloths and nice place settings. From certain seats you can see Evergreen lake. The menu is extensive, and features far more than the usual varieties of beef noodle soup found in a typical pho shop. I had some vegetarian hot and sour soup, which in combining peppers and pineapples made for one of the best tastes I've experienced in a while. It was served with rice noodles on the side, and came in large covered tureen. I had to take the rest back home with me where I enjoyed it later. The spring rolls (Goi Cuon) were as good as many others I've had, but not as distinctive as the soup. So a good place to check out in the Evergreen area if you'd like to experience Vietnamese cuisine in a non-strip-mall environment. read more

(It's always interesting to me when I have a particularly bad dining experience, only to find out others think the same place is "So good!" or "Excellent." Either I have a different standard for what is good, or we got "special treatment" just because we're not locals.) We chose this place on a whim after learning that Rio Del Sol was no longer. We had high hopes when we walked in and heard the piano player. Those hopes were quickly dashed when the "angry rude little man" at the front (who everyone else is referring to in their reviews) became irritated with us from the get-go because we didn't have reservations (even though the place wasn't exactly busy). He sat us in the elevated area, next to a wall, and we soon learned that it was the crappiest place to sit, because it was by the main thoroughfare, and we were on full display to the rest of the diners. "Angry little man" took our orders (rudely), and that was about it. He didn't bother asking how it was, but if he had, we would have told him it was horrific: The lettuce wraps with chicken, at $11, had zero flavor whatsoever. There was no sauce, and it didn't have any spices -- just grilled chicken on lettuce. I had the Kung Pao Chicken (at $16), and when it was brought out, I knew immediately how it would taste, because it, too, was lacking in color. Zero flavor yet again! Just a bland, watered down brown sauce, with two itty-bitty, tiny chili peppers in the whole dish. I had to ask for soy sauce and drench my dish in it. My partner had the Combination Noodle Bowl, which he couldn't even finish, despite being hungry. His grilled beef and chicken didn't have any flavor, either (surprise!), but his egg roll did have flavor: it tasted like how you'd expect dog food to taste. When we left, we used the restrooms, which were extremely dirty. Also, I didn't understand the set-up in the women's restroom: no stalls -- two toilets, side by side, with a tiny wooden divider in the middle. Right. i had some carry out Pad Thai last week and was hugely disappointed. I've enjoyed their Pad Thai several times in the past and always found it to be very tasty and attractively presented (dine-in). the carry-out version was one of the poorest Pad Thai renditions I've ever eaten anywhere, and I consider myself a Pad Thai connoisseur, having sampled many versions of this dish all over the country. the shrimp were fresh and tasty, but the abundant noodles were nearly sauceless and packed tightly into a brick inside a plastic container. I had to cut the brick apart to get them out of the container. there was a scrap of scrambled egg and a few extremely wilted and overcooked green onions that looked like cooked spinach. no hint of any other vegetables. after I got the dish home and found it to be so lacking, I set out to reconstitute the whole thing, adding scrambled eggs, fresh green onions, mushrooms and bean sprouts along with some oyster, sweet chili, soy and fish sauces. and cilantro and peanuts for topping. it tasted pretty good after all that. I think I'll wait until they reopen for dine-in before I take another chance on the Pad Thai! read more

So this by far is some of the best asian food we have had in quite some time! We were in town for the weekend and have always seen the restaurant from the highway. We were seated in the dining room that had live piano playing (nice ambiance) and started perusing the large and well laid out menu. Offering everything from Pho to fried rice, beef, chicken and seafood entrees. We started with edamame and some of the won ton noodle soup. My hubby LOVED the soup - I also liked the flavor. For dinner, we both ordered a lemongrass dish; beef and chicken. Lots of lemongrass, onion and chili flakes completed the well cooked dishes. The food was delicious but the service we received made for a terrible meal!! The server was not friendly nor did he ask if we wanted brown rice or white with our meal. Also when both our water glasses were empty with no ice I mind you he got an attitude after he filled both our glasses with water that had been sitting out the entire time we were there. When I asked for ice in our drinks you would think I asked for a kidney. We were there for lunch and there were only two other tables in the restaurant. Went here with a few friends. The interior is beautiful and service was passable . . . but that's where it ends. Menu was sticky, fork had dried food encrusted between the tines, and the bathroom was downright hellish. Beautiful restaurant and they even had a piano player like they're trying real hard to be high class, but I shudder to think what the kitchen is like. There were a half dozen of us, and only two were satisfied with their meals. I was not feeling particularly adventurous so I just went with the chicken fried rice, and they even screwed that up . . . chicken was boiled, rice was greasy, no vegetables aside from a half teaspoon of scallion . . . completely inedible bland oily paste. The appetizer platter was oozing grease. The soup was obviously from a powdered mix. But at least my glass of water was good. I'm not really sure what to make of Saigon Landing. Its menu is huge, with Asian cuisine including Chinese, Thai, and of course, Vietnamese. When I visited, there was even a pianist playing some uninteresting standards. The piano, lush dining room, and amazing view from the patio give an impression that Saigon Landing won't be cheap: but, actually, the prices are very much on the low side, especially for Evergreen. I went for the pad thai, which I was craving before I even saw the restaurant. It was good, but not what I consider pad thai: the sauce wasn't remotely spicy, the egg was curious, and the noodles were orange. But, while unconventional, the food was just damn good. There's also a lot you can park in behind the restaurant, just up the street. Can't complain about that; especially when sipping one of their refreshing thai iced teas. read more

My husband and I came here for dinner on our first wedding anniversary. It was St. Patrick's day and we want to avoid the crowd and loud music and this place was our first choice. This place was on a hill but is very easy to find as I've been in the area a couple of times and been eyeing on it. It doesn't have consistent good reviews but my husband and I chose this place because of the food selection they have. It's a fine dining restaurant, love the interior design which is both western and eastern style. Also there was a pianist playing and that added up to a beautiful night. The service was also very good good and fast. The Everest Platter was really really good. We had Seafood lemongrass and Seafood pineapple. The seafood lemongrass would have been perfect if the scallops are well cooked or thawed well. I could tell the seafood were frozen. The Seafood in pineapple half for some reason I don't know actually tasted very good. If I learned of this place earlier, I would have been there a few times. Also I saw how they serve teas to other tables and the tea set they use just look amazing. I mean that would be the reason next time I'd go back. read more

We eat here often and have always had a great experience. We take folks who are visiting us there for dinner and they have chosen a wide variety of menu items and all have been delicious. My husband eats gluten free and they have accommodated him every time. We've done take out and eat in, both with great results. I had yet another gift certificate from the Fox 31 Screaming Deals Web site ($50 purchased for $16.50, hurray!), so my husband and I made our way up to Evergreen Saturday night with a friend to try Saigon Landing. The interior of the restaurant is pretty, and really has the feel of a house that has been converted into a restaurant. There is a piano, which while we were there was played by an older gentleman who was quite proficient. We were seated right away and our server came quickly to take our drink/appetizer orders. My husband and friend ordered sake, which was VERY hot when it came to the table. We also decided on the Evergreen sampler as an appetizer, which contained a stuffed chicken wing, soft shell crab, barbecued pork, and spring rolls. This app cost $16, I believe, but the portions were very large and tasty. (I particularly enjoyed the soft shell crab because it is something I rarely see, not being a big fan of sushi restaurants.) The menu at Saigon Landing is pretty extensive, but we managed to narrow our choices down. For dinner, I had the hot and spicy seafood, which consisted of a small lobster tail, scallops, calamari, shrimp, and mussels in a light sauce that contained the perfect amount of heat and just a taste of coconut. I loved it! My husband had his standby, the beef and broccoli, which I guess is not really Vietnamese but he enjoyed it, and our friend had the chicken curry stew, which he said was delicious, although he had to add chili paste to get the amount of heat he wanted. After the huge appetizer platter and our dinners, we were too full for dessert. My only complaint about Saigon Landing is that all of their soups, with the exception of the chicken and rice soup, come in huge servings that cost around $10 and feed 2 people. It would be nice if the soups were available in smaller, cheaper portions. I really enjoyed Saigon Landing overall and would come here again. It seems like a great place to eat whether it's just you and a significant other/spouse or a group. read more

**This is a review from someone who has only gotten to go meals** My parents go here often to get noodle bowls so the last two times they have gone, they offered to bring me something back. The first time I requested shrimp fried rice. It was definitely one of the most bland meals I have ever eaten from a restaurant Probably the most bland. It could definitely have been made better with some sauces but they didn't provide any. Fried rice does tend to run a risk of being bland, so I thought I'd give it one more chance. I got the tofu curry. It barely had any sauce so I ended up with mostly white rice and the tofu was not tasty at all. The crispy roll it came with was pretty good, so at least there was that, but I will definitely never try something from this place again. Just doesn't do it for me. read more

It took a while but then a lady came out and sat us down like she resented being bothered. Several tables surrounding ours were unbussed. We saw another patron get up and go to the counter to ask for help. Just as we thought we had made a mistake and needed to leave, an unfriendly waiter came out to take our order. This is the best option in Evergreen. And one of my favorite restaurants in general. The food is always consistently amazing and fresh and the service is always great and sassy.
