Ken was the technician that did my gel pedicure and manicure. Ken is MAGNIFICENT! He was very pleasant and he took his time, paid attention to the details, and even re-polished a nail three times because the top coat didn't cooperate. I booked my appointment three weeks in advance for 10:00 AM and received written confirmation stating, "See you at 10:00 AM." On the morning of my appointment, while I was dropping my daughter off at daycare 30 minutes away, the salon called and told me my appointment was actually at 9:00 AM. Despite me having confirmation that my appointment was scheduled for 10:00 AM, the response was essentially, "We called the other appointments and they can't move, so we can't do your nails. You can come sit here and we'll see if we can work you in." So because of an error on their end, I was the one who lost my appointment. As a new customer, I was apparently the easiest person to bump. What was most disappointing was not the scheduling mistake itself, mistakes happen, but the complete lack of effort to make things right. No accommodation, no attempt to prioritize me, no solution. I took time off work, arranged my entire day around this appointment, and left feeling completely dismissed. Customer service matters, especially when the business is at fault.
