I made an appointment on their website for a repair early in the morning. Their website showed plenty of availability and I selected an appointment for 10:30 am. I received a confirmation text. A few minutes later , I was told to "walk in after 12" because they are "busy before that". Unsure why you allow online booking if that is the case. How does anyone make an appointment then? I recently left a review about my experience at this nail salon, and after the owner saw it, they asked me to contact them to "help fix the situation." However, when I did reach out, the solutions they offered were things I was not comfortable with. They wanted me to come back into the salon for free polish and 20% off an overlay, but after how I was treated the first time, I was not willing to step back into that establishment. I honestly felt uncomfortable and was scared of being treated unfairly again because of my complaint. Since I did not want to return, I simply asked for a refund instead. The owner denied the refund and claimed I had received a "manicure" because my hand was dipped in hot water. That is absolutely ridiculous. I did not receive the actual service I came for, and trying to justify charging me for dipping my fingers in hot water is unprofessional and dishonest. Do not go here. Do not give them your business. They do not genuinely work with customers, and when there is an issue, they do not handle it fairly. read more

I usually get a full set of acrylics and waxing. FOR YOUR SAFETY DO NO LET THEM TOUCH YOU WITH THEIR WAX. During my last waxing session; lily used the same application stick for the whole session, and never changed the waxing can. I have been dealing with really bad infections on my legs which I've had to seek medical attention for. They started the day after my waxing. I've reported this to the health department. For the acrylic nails, in the photos you can see they're not applied straight. The photo with the orange pants was taken before I left the salon. The picture with mail growth was two weeks later. The design on my ring finger isn't anything remotely resembling what I asked for. I asked for flowers, no specific flower, I just told them flowers. For 70$ for the full set they could atleast make it look better than half-assed pressed on nails. Also make sure you have glue because half my nails start popping off in three days, and it's not like they're getting snagged on anything. There's barely any pain when it happens, they just pop as if they were press on nails. read more

Don't know why Yelp has this business with less than 4-5 stars. I've had multiple great experiences here. Each time the nail technicians have given me exactly what I wanted down to the thickness of the nail. And I don't have a specific person I just go to whoever is available at that date/time. I went yesterday for an appointment with Ryan and I cannot stop looking at my nails they're so cute! We did a white dipping powder but a more natural look so the dip is thin. I had them on a bit thicker previously because I had some cracking and breaking in my nails and wanted it to be thick so it would grow out and since it had, ryan suggested a more natural look this time which I'm obsessed with. The orange tips in the other picture were done with misty and I loved them too but they are thicker than the white. Can't wait to go back again in a few weeks! read more

My spouse and I came for pedicures. We sat for a couple minutes up front in dirty chairs that sank heavily. The pedicure chairs are not very comfortable especially for smaller people. The chair had to be moved so far forward that my toes hit the front of the tub. I also had to prop myself up with my arms to avoid sinking too deep. The technician who did my pedicure was a bit aggressive on the cuticles. She actually tried to tear one off rather than cut it. My spouse's technician used the "grater" which caused bleeding and an abrasion that lasted for months. He's had the "grater" action used many times before and never had this happen. On the upside, the people were pleasant. They did a decent job with cleanliness using disposable wrappers in the tubs and clean utensils. Sadly, not worth $40 and $50 so we won't be back. read more

When I first started going to Fantasy Nails, it was a great experience. Very nice people and welcoming. Still very nice people. I have been there about 6 times but I WILL NOT be going back. The last visit I felt like I was being rushed. There wasn't anyone else waiting. It was a very hurried and terrible job. One side of a couple nails were not covered. Only one coat of polish. I asked about the dark spots on 2 of my nails (I had previously told the nail tech I have never had any kind of fungus in the 25 + years I have had acrylic nails). She told me it would have to grow out! I now have it on 4 of my nails. After spending $50, I have since taken off the nails and started using an anti fungus. When you request and pay for a manicure with the Nail Dip you will NOT receive lotion, hand massage, or even cleaning the dip powder residue off your skin. My experience at the Fairfax nail salon included a hand massage with warm lotion, and a neck/shoulder massage while you were letting your nails dry. Fantasy Nail Spa will let you leave with huge drip bumps on your nail and ask if you can come back tomorrow. This is my third experience not being impressed with their service or quality of workmanship. Time to find a new local nail spa. read more

This was my second time going to this shop and my second time being let down. They do fine on pedicures. The only issue with them is they wipe the lotion off instead of taking the time to rub it all the way in. Nail are awful every time I go. I am extremely picky about my gel polish. If you are too DO NOT got here. I picked off gel from my skin already but they did an awful job around the cuticles and also do. They last time I went I peeled the gel off when I got home. It's just really disappointing since I spent $80 on the spa pedi gel mani combo and the mani was awful. Four of my nails have tiny bubbles and one it already starting to peel up. I got it done less than 24 hours ago. In short I'd go back for a pedi but never will get a manicure there again. I went to get a gel mani/pedi here a week ago. I've been contemplating writing this review...but a week later, I'm still SO unhappy with the service I received here. I had the gel pedicure first. I got one of the more expensive ones - it was just okay. Nothing impressive. The gel manicure is what ruined the entire experience. It is evident the woman that did my manicure didn't know how to do french or do a proper manicure. Issue #1: She left old gel on my nails. Issue #2: She put top coat on instead of base coat. Issue #3: The french looked awful - I refused to put it under the UV lamp. Issue #4: I asked her to stop because I didn't want to finish the manicure. The man next to her insisted he do the french. While it looked okay, it was rushed and still didn't look great (+ you could see the old gel underneath the clear polish). Issue #5: There was dried gel all over my hands that they left. I still paid full price and tipped 20% ($145 total) but I shouldn't have. It's obvious they wouldn't listen to me if I expressed my dissatisfaction. Easily the worst salon experience I've ever had. I will NEVER go to this salon again. It takes a lot for me to write such a negative review but I had to share my experience. read more

Terrible. With all the competition in the area, they should do a better job. I paid $60 (with tip) for acrylic tips. They started lifting within two days. They're supposed to last at least two weeks. I had to go back in a little over a week because, if I didnt, they all would have lifted off. When I went back, I showed them that the new tips are lifting. I was told it was my fault. No further explanation. I asked them to remove the tips and just give me a gel manicure. The paint chipped off my thumb nail the very next day. After a few days, every single nail had a chip.
