I needed a bowl of pho after driving for over 8 hours, and I decided to stop here. I was sat immediately and my food came out pretty quickly! I got the special beef pho, which had beef, meatballs, and tendons. The flavor of the pho was decent, but I wish it had a deeper flavor. The meatballs were some of the best meatballs I had, and the tendons were good too! The beef, however, was a little tough and not as tender as I was used to. The restaurant itself has a good layout. I think one of the only downsides is that the condiments (sriracha and hoisin) are not found at the table, and they give you little bowls of it. I had to ask for multiple servings of sriracha, which I felt bad about. Overall, a good pho spot in the area!

    Filet Mignon Pho- excellent!

In this unassuming restaurant in a strip mall you will find delicious pho. I ordered the filet mignon pho from the daily specials board and it was fabulous. The pho had a filling beefy flavor and the filet was tender. It also was salty enough without being over-salted. They did a brisk service and lots of takeout was happening during our visit. I would highly recommend this restaurant!

Great beef pho! I'm so glad to have found this place. It'll be my go-to Vietnamese restaurant in the area and I'm excited to try their other dishes. We were seated immediately and got our food in less than 10 minutes.

A very pleasant, family-owned, true-to-the-culture eatery. We have tried several things on the menu: Imperial egg roll Rocket shrimp rolls Beef pho Spicy beef noodle soup Saigon rice style Shadow chicken rice Vietnamese coffee Prices are reasonable. Flavors are bold, fulfilling, and fresh. One small complaint is they can be a bit hesitant when one requests for more bean sprouts. Nonetheless, our overall experiences are enjoyable and there are several items that we would repeat.

Ambiance- lots of natural lightening, family owned restaurant Service- pretty busy for lunch on a Monday, only 1 server/host and she seemed pretty stressed Food- grilled pork chop was missing some flavor, flavors more mild than expected

My first time here! The food is delicious and brought out quickly. I had imperial egg rolls and a chicken bahn mi. Each was fresh and delicious. It's sparsely decorated, but I'm here for the food and not the decor.

Our dining experience was pleasant. It wasn't busy at all on a Saturday mid afternoon. The dining hall was spacious. It didn't feel cramped. Service was fast and we enjoyed the food. Service could be better in terms of clearing used dishes away. They piled up through the end, and the server did not clear them when she served dishes, nor when she saw the used dishes pile up. We enjoyed the pork egg rolls. It's not the typical wrapper we're used to. It's light and flaky, and flavorful. The Viet pho special was decent. I found the spicy beef pho more flavorful. I was just concerned it'll be too spicy for me but it actually wasn't. The coffee crème brûlée was ok. You need to mix in the coffee mixture on top, with the crème brûlée, otherwise it'll be too sweet. It was generally a favorable experience.

Fried rice and pork spring rolls.

Hey fellow Yelp users! I went to Forbidden Noodles in La Grange on 7/17/24 (Wednesday) with my…read morebestie. This was my first time coming here so I didn't know what to expect. My bestie has been here a few times, so I went with the Ramen should recommended I should get. Forbidden Noodles definitely exceeded the expectations I didn't have. Food: I ordered a pork tonkotsu with miso instead of the tonkotsu ($14.99). Since I was treating myself that day, I also decided to try their cream cheese rangoon with their spicy mayo ($3.99 for 3 pieces) and it was absolutely delicious! Honestly a great combo! Atmosphere: I loved the atmosphere. I went on a really hot day, so it felt nice walking into the cold. The place had low lighting which gave it a warm and cozy aesthetic. Perfect place for a date or catch up lunch/dinner. Customer Service: I thought the customer service was great. The cashier that took my order was really nice. She even brought out cups of water for me & my bestie even though neither of us asked for any. Parking: There's a parking lot, parking garage, & street parking which is all FREE. Street parking is hit or miss, so I totally recommend parking at the parking lot or parking garage. Overall Experience: Overall, I had a good experience at Forbidden Noodles. I would highly recommend this place if you're craving some Ramen but want to skip the trip going to Chinatown (although Chinatown does have a good chunk of Ramen spots). You can even watch a movie before or after grubbing at Forbidden Noodles at the nearby Classic Cinemas La Grange Theatre. I hope this review helps Forbidden Noodles & its current and future customers. Have an amazing day!
