My wife and I decided to try this place after numerous recommendations from friends. We ordered meatball Pho and chicken Pho, with a side of pot stickers. The Pho order was wrong, they missed chicken and made me a regular beef pho. The person taking orders didn't even seem bothered. After a 10 minute drive home, the app was still good and hot, quite tasty too. Both of the Pho broths were warm at best. After we warmed the broth and composed the soups, we enjoyed them. The broth was good but nothing worth this effort. I'll give them another try but it could've started off on a better foot. read more

The pho is spot on. Great broth with a nice anise flavor. The pepper calamari was light and perfectly crisp. Lemongrass shrimp had a great flavor and was served like a typical bun style dish. Came in at a non busy time, was told to take a seat by the server. After that, completely got ignored by her, and she was just sitting at the desk. 20 minutes in, never got checked by the server. So we had to walk up to the desk to ask to order food. Also when the food came, the same server running us food just looked so unhappy for some reason. I mean, the food was good, but felt so unwelcome here to this restaurant, the server should have told us to order at the desk at the first place instead of telling us taking seat and completely ignoring us. read more

Stopped in for a quick lunch at 12:30 on a Monday. The place was empty! Sat down to a table that hadn't been wiped down from at least one prior customer. Ordered special banh mi and spring rolls. The rolls were identical to the last I had at a different shop (is there a travelling spring roll maker or perhaps an online tutorial they all use?) but a little warm. The banh mi was a little light on the veggies but excellent as far as meats. The roll seemed to be a run of the mill baguette, but nicely crisped. Overall impression... a good cheap fast lunch in a less than fastidious shop. read more

So this place is fairly new. It is clean and the workers seem nice. I came at lunch and ordered three items - the salad rolls ($4), pepper calamari ($7) and banh mi pork ($5). The salad rolls were OK. Rice noodles, really light colored lettuce (no dark leafy greens), the pork slice and a few pieces of shrimp. I would have liked some dark leafy greens or maybe some basil in there. So they didn't wow me but for $2 each it isn't bad (they come as 2 for $4). Comes with peanut sauce. I wouldn't go out of my way for these but they will do if I need a cheap roll fix. The pepper calamari was a rather small plate from what I was expecting. However it is seafood and seafood isn't cheap. I did really like this dish, the onions and the pepper was really tasty. The fish was chewy but it is calamari. Would have liked a little more on my plate. In contrast you can see the size of the banh mi next to it. Super great deal for $5! The bread was perfect (both crispy and soft, nice chew), ample amount of grilled meat inside. The carrots did not taste pickled, they were just normal. Sadly for me, I did not like this sandwich for one reason - all I could taste was a propane taste. I wonder if they used propane torch on the inside of the bread to make it slightly toasty? Now I am a little more sensitive to that flavor I think than other people. I won't get "seared" sushi because they use propane torches to sear the fish and the fuel is all I can taste. Other people don't seem to be bothered by this flavor. So take that how you will. Anyways they were very nice and took it off my bill because I took two bites and couldn't eat the rest. So I gave them an extra star for that, but food quality for me is sitting at a three star based on what I tried. Their pho might be a whole different story so I will need to come back and try that. I had to chew gum after to rid my mouth of the fuel taste. Anyways, it is worth checking out. I am curious if other people have the same experience or if it is just me! read more

What a wonderful Pho restaurant! Everyone is so friendly and willing to work with diet restrictions. I had dinner with my dad and step-mom who adore this place. They constantly checked on us, cracking jokes and smiling a lot, without being intrusive. I really enjoyed our meal. Everything we had was delicious and considering I'm half Vietnamese and know authenticity, it's tough to impress me. I'll definitely be back when I'm in the area! read more

The broth was good. Vermicelli bowl was nice and ingredients all were good. The pork chop plate not so good as the pork chop was closer to boiled than grilled. I want to try the banh mi next visit. I'm glad there's a good and decent Vietnamese restaurant in this area. Pho broth is flavorful. We got Hawaiian fried chicken wings which is a must try! Very crunchy and the sauce goes well with the wings. The shaking beef is tender and juicy. Overall, we were happy with the food and the experience here. Will come back to try other dishes. Great new Pho place in town, have been deprived of some good pho since move out this way. Small selection of dishes but quality not quantity am I right? The broth is flavorful and traditional, didnt need any extra hoisin for flavor, that is how you can know a good bowl of pho no need for extra frills, had an order of spring rolls too and those were delish with a homemade peanut sauce. Decorating could use some help but I'm not here for the decor ‍. They just opened so they could use some work on the customer service and knowledge of the menu, work in progress, will most definitely eat there again to support local businesses read more

This is a fantastic new place in town!! Wr stopped in this weekend and was so glad to finally find good pho in Monroe! We tried many things to see what this place was like and nothing disappointed! The veggie spring rolls were fresh and tasty, the peanut sauce served with it was think and flavorful. The potstickers were fried and delish and served with a spicy plum sauce. We also tried the shrimp tempura- not the best ever but great texture and good. For entrees we tried the chicken fried rice and it was fantastic!! Not to oily, good flavor, more than just rice and egg! And lastly the steak pho!! Sooooo good!! The broth had awesome depth in flavor, fantastic beef and was really good!!!! No more trips to Seattle or Bainbridge to find fantastic pho!!! Please go try it! Keep them in business!!! read more

This place is fantastic. I haven't tried any of the pho yet but I've been here 4 times in the past couple weeks. Staff is friendly, food is great and I never have to wait for a seat. We have eaten here before. This isn't out normal place and i was reminded why. An order that was supposed to take 15 minutes took 50 because they "mixed up" my order. I watched other come on in and get fed and finish before i got my order. The hot food was served warm, some right out of the fridge cold, and broth was tepid at best. I asked for hot brother and the old guy in the kitchen came out to argue with me and give me attitude. Will NEVER eat there again and i question if they are within code based on temp of food served. read more

I want to say it was somewhat one dimensional; lacking a little in the normal balance of ginger, onion, and star anise. Still it was richly beefy which redeemed it somewhat which made it still satisfying. Quantities of meats and veggies were good and my s.o. suggested she liked the noodles better here than other local competitors. They were satisfyingly chewy and not as overdone as other places. After we started eating an older woman in the kitchen was SNEEZING CONSTANTLY. NOT COVERING HER MOUTH (You Can Tell!!!). The food was "Ok," not 5 stars for sure. My wife ordered "Grilled Pork," with Vermicelli, The pork was NOT GRILLED. It was cooked on a flat top. Grilled implies cooked over fire! The strip mall where it was located had homeless people hanging around and the security guard looked like he was the actual problem. This is a small place in a little shopping center. I was in the city of Monroe for the first time and was craving banh mi found this place with the wife on yelp and decide to get two banh mi dac biet (special) food was hot and tasted delicious only problem was it was the wrong sandwich made. The banh mi turned out to be chicken instead of the special which was ok but then I realize all the cook did was made a chicken stir fry with onion and threw it into my sandwich. read more

The food is ok and portion is generous but the service is awful - the worst I've got from any Vietnamese place I've been to. To be fair, the owner is nice but this place feels disorganized. We came in and waited at the entrance. No one came and people picking up takeout kept walking past us. So I walked up to the counter and the owner told us to sit down at any table. Then we just got completely ignored. No water served. Took forever (10+ minutes) to get a menu and then forever (another 15+ minutes) for someone to take our order. Ironically it took just a minute to get our pho after ordering. The owner is nice and accommodates the requests but it is definitely ridiculous to have to wait forever and ask for everything basic (water, ice) time and time again. read more

Absolutely awful pho. "Broth" is a joke -- a watered down beef-flavored liquid, and lacks any flavor or complexity inherent to authentic pho. It's just yucky. Meat tasted old and like freezer burn. Really unsavory. To add to the dissatisfaction, they boast dirty tables, dirty floors, and seriously .... don't bother even going into the bathroom if hygiene is important to you. If you know pho, you will want to avoid this faux pho at all costs. Go to the other one off Highway 2 instead!! read more

Great pho! Best pho in monroe hands down. The closest place that is as good is bothell about 25 min away.

Downgrading the banh mi rating. The last two or three have been vastly inferior to the ones I had before. Still generous pork portion, but some kind of sweetness has crept into it. Also, always order extra jalapenos, but am now getting 2 slices, and they are flavorless. I don't know if the chef has changed, but I'm disappointed. I'll have to go back to Seattle for a really good banh mi. read more

This restaurant is a blessing. If you like Vietnamese food, this is the place. We eat Vietnamese everywhere we go and this little gem takes the cake. Who would have thought you will find one of the tastiest Vietnamese food in Monroe! If you are coming back from Leavenworth or Stevens pass, highly recommend to stop by and get hot Pho. Or get my favorite Lemongrass Tofu in vermicelli bowl. Owners are probably the nicest people ever. Hardworking and humble. Kids love it too because they are so nice to them.
