I had a lovely shrimp curry dish with pan-seared scallops on the side. They came out with a heaping plate of shrimp curry and I was concerned it was going to be a quantity over quality thing...it was not. The food was wonderful! The food is amazing. This is a place we get food from at least once a week. Their pickled daikon and carrots are my favorite appetizer. I could eat that daikon all day! All their pho is delicious, and I highly recommend trying different ones each time. Their stuff chicken wings are also delicious! They recently redid the inside and it is starting to feel more like a comfortable restaurant I want to sit down at and enjoy my meal. Yummm! We were driving past this area and boy, am I glad we stopped for dinner! There is outdoor seating so if you have your furry friend tagging along on a road trip (like I did), this is even more of a reason to stop by! Service was fast and friendly. Decor is bland but the food makes up for it. The summer rolls were delicious and a classic appetizer. The soup for the pho tasted like it had been cooking all day. I gave 5 stars rating based on my 2 visits in this week. We are visiting from LA and my husband is a vegan so we went to this restaurant as they serve vegetarian items. First impression are definitely the host /server, she is so personable and we engaged in small chats, getting to know her, the business, even traveling tips. The 2nd, was definitely the food we ordered, vegetarian curried tofu and chicken pho soup. She goes by Petchy and she willing to accommodate our specific order due to our diet preferences. I was introduced to Saigon Spring years before COVID. It was wonderful from the first visit and continues to be. I was so surprised to hear how many people knew of and loved this restaurant. Good is excellent, especially the PHO. Service is quick. It gets busy fast and they do take out. Check this one out. It's a winner. read more

Saigon Spring was delicious! I was brought here by some friends who live locally and swear by it. They appear to know what they are talking about. The chicken wings I had were fantastic and the sauce for the wings was out of this world good. My main dish was a pork dish and they nailed it. Perfectly cooked with plenty of flavor. I also stole some bites of my friends dishes and I wouldn't hesitate to go family style to keep eating a little of everything. We went on a Friday evening and it was busy. Excellent food. Easily one of the best restaurants in the Capital region in my opinion.

When I discovered this place 5 years ago the ingredients were fresh. The bone broth was delicate, fortifying and tasty. You truly could not beat the value for money. Summer rolls used to have mint, Thai Basil, cilantro, bean sprouts, carrots, shrimp, and vermicelli noodles in them. They were only $4.50!!! I told everyone about this hidden gem. Today I paid $9.00 for 3 shrimp, a leaf of lettuce, and vermicelli noodles. The last time I came I thought oh no, might be time to stop ordering. One last try today. Truly will never be back. Don't waste your money. There are far better hometown businesses to support. read more

I only wish it were served in a bowl and not on a plate as that allows one to mix in all the flavor and get everything covered in the delicious sauce. The food is typically excellent. The menu has been refined, probably due to the Covid limitations on staff etc. However the food remains delicious and high-quality. It appears that the restaurant is focusing on their take-out menu and customers as the customers in-house appear to be managed on a short staff, with limited service. Busy Sunday again at this place. 5 servers working but doesn't seem to have a system in place to speed up service. I was initially seated with my 2 young kids near the passage way , so I requested to be seated at a corner. The server then told me we are not going to fit to that corner since there is only 2 chairs and he asked me also if I see any more tables around ,which i did and asked if maybe they could move it. We ended up seating next to the table they gave us when we first came. It took 10 minutes for server to take our order. most of the food came out in a decent manner, but they forgot my mother's entree.. As I was paying, one of the server apologized for forgetting one of our orders.. Looking around the room, we are not the only ones waiting, no beverage refill again this visit. 15% tip still left for subpar service. pls do better. read more

So happy to find a good Vietnamese restaurant only 15min from my home in Saratoga Springs. I used to live in Orange County, CA and know a thing or two about Vietnamese food. Two important fundamentals in any Pho shop - good fried egg rolls and good pho broth. Found both to be excellent. No need to use the sauces on the table as the meat was also very flavorful. Delicious in every way!! I would give this place five stars if they had a working bar since it's nice to have a relaxing drink, and I think it would pull in more business for them. There is a bar but with , only one chair... yet there's an array of many liquor/wine bottles stationed behind the counter... other than that the food is wonderful! Service always very polite. The staff was so kind explaining things on the menu to me as it was my first time there. I had the beef Pho and it was absolutely delicious. I've had many different recipes over the years and this one had a great balance of savory flavor. I took my husband a week later for a date night and again we both enjoyed our food immensely. portion sizes are large and they will wrap your noodles to go from your broth separately if you ask! the ambience on the inside is definitely NOT what the outside is! This place is amazing every time we go. If it's take out or dine in we always love it. The dining room is immaculate. We have probably ordered from them close to 100 times and they have never once screwed up our order. They are always so nice on the phone and in person. Saigon spring has been on my radar for a long time but I had never checked it out until now. Prompted by several suggestions from friends and also wanting some hot soup on a rainy day I decided to stop in. It's located in the corner of a small strip plaza but don't be fooled. The interior is nice enough for a date or meeting with a friend. Cloth napkins dim house lighting, booths and tables are available. I was seated promptly, the waitress was friendly, helpful and easy to understand. I looked to my left and another lone diner was finishing a huge bowl of pho. I tried not to stare but the slurping and pile of condiments peaked my interest. The waitress asked for my drink order and I debated whether I would want a drink with all the broth I would be drinking with the soup. Lightly sweetened Lychee iced tea popped out at me and I decided to give it a try. After a few quick questions I placed my order for the pho with shaved beef eye round. My drink and a plate of condiments were served. The waitress knowing I hadn't ordered this before explained the condiments and how I could use them with out me asking. A heaping pile of bean sprouts, 2 jalapeño slices, a lime wedge and 2 sauces hoison, and chili sauce. Oh and a branch of Thai basil. All of these could be added to the soup to further flavor the broth if I would like. With in minutes a piping hot bowl of pho was served. I decided to taste the broth before adding anything and I'm not sure I could say much about it. It tasted kind of light and the smell although very slight was a little off putting. I scooped in all the sprouts and then squeezed the lime and stirred in the hoison. Now I had a delicious noodle and broth bowl. There were tons of rice noodles and the bean sprouts added much needed texture since the rice noodles didn't have any chew to them. About half way through my bowl the waitress came to see how the meal was. Perfect timing, I didn't have a mouthful of food, I had been able to enjoy tasting the meal with out interruption. As I watched people around me eat their meals there were several interesting dishes. I can't wait to come back and even bring my husband for a date night. Maybe I'll try the crispy duck, or curried shrimp. Either way I can't wait! read more

One of the best restaurants in Clifton Park irrespective of style. The building itself used to be a tae kwon do place, so it doesn't have great ambience but that is more than made up for by the food. Best Pho I have had in the Capital Dostrict. I went here on an extremely rainy day, so I was craving something hot and comforting. It's located in a strip mall, so for some, they may bypass it. Don't. Once you go in the atmosphere, it is incredible. They have tons of choices, and I had the brisket pho. I've been a fan of Pho for years and have had it almost everywhere I go from Arizona to Massachusatts, and hands down, this was the freshest and most flavorful i have tasted. The presentation was spectacular, and yes, I did see Vietnamese people dining there as well. My Mama always taught me that if the actual ethnic group that the food is dines there, then you know it's good. My waiter was knowledgeable and helpful with choosing the best tea to accompany my selected pho, and I just really enjoyed the overall experience. I even made sure to thank the owner upon leaving. A plethora of outstanding Asian inspired restaurants have begun to pop up in the Capital Region and Saigon Spring should be added to your rotation. I suppose the Pho competition is on. Who has the best? I have tried Van's (my first time ever trying Pho) Pho Yum and now Saigon Spring. I thought it was outstanding. The meatballs were delicious. I felt the broth was very light and didn't pack the same punch I have come to expect. They have many variations of Pho to try. My wife had a version which included tripe. I swore we weren't going to order an appetizer but decided to roll with the stuffed chicken wings which clocked in at $14.00. 4 wings. 3.50 a piece! For a moment I thought about how much chicken I could purchase for $14.00.... then I thought "these better be damn good!" Turns out they were. A perfect bite of food. Very creative and I would imagine some what time consuming to prepare. So the Capital Region has become a gigantic Chinatown with so many offerings. We came to grab takeout after seeing such good reviews. Food was ready fast and the pho tai, pho ga (chicken) were both decent. The issue were the spring rolls. TWO spring rolls, maybe each the size of a highlighter cost $8!! What?! We were expecting an appetizer size portion for that price. That's so absurd that I added a photo so others can decided whether these are worth $4 each before ordering. Keep in mind pho is around $9 so this pricing just seems absurd. read more
