Kind of expensive for what you got: 5 small pieces. The chicken soup starter that come with the meal was delicious!! Relative had chicken himmipan and loved it. Very nice presentation. Hubby had pad Thai & asked for beef but only got two shrimp. I had pad Thai see ew-- noodles with thin sliced chicken & broccoli. I ordered the Japanese Box #11 for lunch and selected three "not raw fish" rolls: Avocado Crispy Crab California $15.85 with Miso Soup or Salad. I had the salad and the dressing was delicious. The grape tomato had seen better days. The Crispy Crab was new to me, and I liked it. 0n the plate, there was a pile of extra "crispies" to coat the pieces. Nice! There was enough food to enjoy for lunch and several pieces to nibble on later. Service was attentive. Water was refilled without asking. Before leaving, I asked for extra pickled ginger, and the server gave me some in a plastic container to put with my "doggie bag." Prices were a little higher than comparable places, but the quality is very good. The restaurant is spacious (larger than many others) with a wall of windows that let in refreshing natural light. Decor includes understated wall treatments that look classy. The pick up area is away from the tables which is a good set up. The restaurant can accommodate large groups. My wife was craving her favorite Green Curry prepared by a Thai chef who is currently not cooking and suggested we visit Sushi Thai @ The Park. Having a friend recently tell me that she just discovered ST@TP and it is her new favorite place for Asian food, I agreed to go. Now, it has been at least twenty years since we last dined at ST@TP. Years ago, it was the closest place for us to find sushi or Thai food. We previously had first eaten at its sister location in Saratoga Springs and found them both equally enjoyable. Over the years, as more and more places became available for sushi and Thai we began exploring out of our area. Physically, it does not appear to have changed. The space is open, roomy, clean, and nicely appointed with a modern Asian motif. Service is still welcoming, friendly and attentive. My wife ordered hot Green Tea ($3.25) while I chose to start with my usual favorite, Thai Iced Tea ($3.95). I was disappointed that the tea flavor seemed weaker than what I've experienced at other Thai restaurants. I don't think that the amount of cream floating on top watered it down, possibly the number of ice cubes did. We decided to share the Tuna Poke ($12.95) as an appetizer. Listed as a Salad, it could have been a meal by itself for one person. A sizeable amount of fresh spinach leaves was served alongside a bowl filled with cubes of raw tuna, orange, cucumber, julienned carrots, noodles, and scallions in a moderately spicy sauce with sesame oil. Very enjoyable. As expected, my wife ordered the Vegetable Green Curry ($19.95). It was served with the typical string beans, bamboo shoots, green peas, bell peppers, and basil leaves in a cast iron pot over a base with a lit candle. A bowl of rice was served on the side. Right away, she noted that the curry and coconut milk texture was thinner than she was accustomed to. While the presentation was attractive with the pot warmer, it was awkward for serving yourself. Her serving plate was flat and would have been more eating friendly had a bowl been provided along with a soup spoon to permit each tasting to include a sufficient amount of curry with vegetables. I think this contributed to her belief that the curry was thin since you can't pick up much curry when eating the vegetables with a fork. I've missed a good Pad See-Ew in recent years. I ordered it with Pork ($15.95) as it came with broccoli, egg, and a semi sweet sauce. The thin, wide rice noodles were perfectly cooked, but I believe the larger pieces of pork were overcooked. Overall, I found the sauce lacking in flavor. It looks like we are unlikely to be returning soon unless we care to give them a try for just sushi when other places may be closed. read more

My mom and I stopped in here after wedding dress shopping. I really worked up an appetite for sushi! It's really elegant inside with comfortable clean tables and chairs. We were seated right away and ordered drinks. We started with the papaya salad which was a little on the spicy side, and some crab rangoon which were *chef's kiss*. We shared 2 sushi rolls - volcano and something with cooked salmon inside but I can't remember the name. The 2nd one was less good but the volcano was delicious! I have never had anything less than a fantastic experience at Sushi Thai. Today was no exception. I ordered Pad Thai and a couple of sushi rolls. my wife and I have tried pad Thai at three other restaurants but none were nearly as good. As for the sushi, we have tried at least five other sushi restaurants in the area They weren't horrible, but they all used minced fish. I find sushi with minced fish is generally lower quality. Sushi Thai in the park uses pieces of quality seafood. It really shows the quality of their food. No shortcuts. The sushi is delicious. It is also very reasonably priced, so there is little reason to take a chance elsewhere. We often have takeout, but every time we have dinned in the service was excellent. we always have enough attention that we get anything we need but not so much that it interrupts the conversation. I highly recommend this restaurant. read more

We were craving some Asian flavors and sushi! We decided to visit Sushi Thai in CP and we did our best to try out a bunch of items. Sorry for the long review but I wanted to cover everything! Firstly, this restaurant is totally unassuming. It is gorgeous inside and really great service. We started of with drinks, our array of cocktails and cold sake were great. Everyone enjoyed their drinks and the unfiltered sake was awesome. Sake just goes fabulous with sushi. Then we knew we wanted to get a few apps so we decided on crab rangoons, seafood shumai, pork dumplings, uni, and some sushi too. They were all good, I really enjoyed the rangoons. The dumplings and shumai were very small, not like I am used to, but the flavor was there. The uni did not seem fresh which was a disappointment. We certainly enjoyed trying a large variety of apps and we were ready to get to our entrees. A friend and I shared the "love boat", sushi and sashimi combo. Presentation is stunning and fun! The sashimi was extremely delicious and fresh, I wasn't a fan of the rolls they picked for the platter. If I went again I would get the sashimi dinner because it was so fresh. Another friend ordered the dynamite roll and it looked great! A third friends entree was the Sweet and Sour chicken. She really enjoyed the flavor of the sauce and the pineapple chunks with the chicken. Another friend ordered the Thai Fried Rice which was full of fresh veggies and perfectly cooked shrimp. It's a very authentic Thai restaurant. Their servers and waiters are friendly and welcoming. I'm a frequent flyer at Phila Fusion and an occasional visitor of Sushi Thai in Saratoga. When we walked in (party of 4) to this lovely, new, large, modern restaurant, we were warmly greeted by a familiar face that we know from the Saratoga locations. That was a nice surprise. The menu is similar to the Saratoga location (not Phila Fusion that offers Chinese, Japanese, Thai, Vietnamese and Korean dishes): Japanese (sushi and cooked) and Thai options. I was torn between trying the sushi or a hot, spicy Thai dish...and jumped in with chirashi sushi. Glad I did. Beautiful presentation and excellent fish quality/quantity. Others at the table had green curry, shumai, pad thai, satay and spring rolls. Everything was enjoyed thoroughly and served quickly - which was another bonus since we were going to a show at Proctors. The original plan was to try and go to an Asian fusion place in Schenectady, but they did not have any reservations available (and they're terrible with walk-ins on busy nights). I just knew that my friends were jonesin' some kind of Asian fare, so we decided to try Sushi Thai in Clifton Park and were not disappointed. I'd definitely go back to this location again. read more

Regular customer for 10 years BUT NOT going back ever AGAIN Food is ok- the quality has done so much down significantly. Ambiance is ok Service can be much better and also the servers. Not all are welcoming and some are very RUDE. I have been living in the area since 2022 and have loved the food and service here. However I have to say that not all staff are trained well and the policies as far as errors could be much better. I dined for lunch recently ( which I do almost 4x a month) and had a fairly poor experience. I dined alone and the staff tried to seat me in the middle of the restaurant. They moved me upon request. Then I waited at least 15 minutes after being seated to give my order, which only happened because I eventually left my seat to speak with the server directly to take my order. The food came out relatively soon which is very typical for the restaurant, but they forgot an ingredient. When I mentioned it to the waitress (about 10 minutes later because she didn't check in AT ALL) she assured me the kitchen had added the vegetable. I told her I'd eaten the dish many times and the vegetable I read in the description was not there. She proceeded to argue with me I guess to prove that if the kitchen said they did it I should ignore my eyes!! Unreal! I told her I'm eating the dish and looking at it, they just forgot an ingredient. She said okay and walked away and never followed up with me. Later another waitress I am familiar with at the restaurant inquired how things were going and I filled her in, only to have her say the same thing. I guess I'd gone blind and forgotten how to taste this vegetable. I told her that I didn't think it fair to charge me to add vegetables to the dish and then leave one out and basically accuse me of lying. They ultimately took the extra cost off the bill but for the experience I have to say it was literally the least they could have done. Normally the service is great but as a local and a frequent customer I want to say the customer is (mostly) right. My advice if you don't want to lose a tip 1) don't ever argue with your customers 2) don't ignore them. 3) if they are upset do more than the minimum to make it right and 4) don't make people wait to order food or leave the restaurant! Bussing tables are not a priority when people haven't ordered food or need to leave, especially on the lunch hour. Staff could use more training to prepare for busy times and still stay professional. read more

We always come here when in town to visit family. They just updated the decor, service is always good, and the sushi is fantastic. Friday night, not too crowded. Hubby got the combo #7 tonight (steak teriyaki & shrimp tempura) and it was delicious, not greasy at all, and good portion size. My sushi was fresh and tasty. I recently enjoyed a weekday early lunch in a mostly empty restaurant located at the end of a strip-mall sort of complex. The low-key decor and the linen napkins raised my hopes as I was greeted by the chefs as I sat down at the spacious 6-seat sushi bar (photo). I was pleased to see over a dozen temaki as I scanned through the menu, so I selected one and another maki and a handful of nigiri after a pleasant soup. The main was plated simply but confidently on two separate plates. The rice was well seasoned, and the nigiri presentation was pretty good, with only a few knife errors shown on the saba (photo). The hotate was unexpectedly fired with a blowtorch - I know that this technique is supposed to release more flavor, but I wish the menu had mentioned this first. Happily, the spicy salmon tamaki was created with strips of salmon, instead of minced fish paste, as I have unfortunately been served at other sushi restaurants. They do it right! We eat here just about every week. Everything is fantastic. The servers are wonderful and the ambiance is very nice. They have a lovely green wall and it's so clean. The food is fantastic, never overcooked and seasoned beautifully. My husband's prik pow pork was beautifully presented and perfectly cooked. I love their basil chili chicken and gai kra pow so much. I have ordered here for lunch many times because it is close to work and every time it is soooo good. The yellow curry is perfect. I just tried something i never have had before. The pad sew wee and it was AWESOME! They even provided a side of sriracha without me asking which is what I usually put on pad Thai. Defiantly recommend this place. I very rarely give this bad of reviews , especially since I've only been here once - but I just don't see myself going back here again. I ordered sushi takeout and I wanted something convenient on my commute home. The location was nice looking inside and easy to find and my food was ready on time. I ordered sushi, a maki combo, a shrimp tempura, a spicy tuna and a plain salmon roll. Everything looked nice but once I opened the container it smelled very strongly of room temperature fish that had been sitting out. I didn't think anything of it at first I started trying a few pieces and especially the spicy tuna didn't look like normal tuna at all (I'll attach a photo) and smelled vile and was slimy. I've never not finished sushi or thrown any out before but my husband and I tried a bite of each roll and I could barely choke it down. There was so much rice and the fish was either mushy or chewy. No real flavor beyond a fishy (this tastes like it went bad) flavor. We threw out 75% of our meal. You get the picture, I would maybe try the Thai instead if I was to ever go back. read more

On my way to the Albany Airport, I met my sister for lunch at Sushi Thai @ the Park in Clifton Park. This Japanese-Thai fusion restaurant is located in a strip mall along Halfmoon Parkway (Rte 9), and State Road 146. It's also located right off the Northway, and near the Clifton Park Center. The restaurant offers a nice mix of sushi, sashimi, Thai, and Asian fusion dishes, which seemed to be very popular with the groups eating lunch, and picking up their to-go meals. The menu offers a lot of mix & match bento boxes, traditional Japanese entrées (in a smaller lunch size), Thai curries, rice & noodle dishes, tempura, teriyaki, and house specialties. They also have a full sushi bar menu with nigiri sushi, sashimi, and a wide variety of sushi rolls. I ended up ordering a Yellowtail & scallions roll, a spicy tuna roll, and miso soup for my lunch. I was a bit nervous about finding really fresh, sushi-grade seafood in a strip mall, located in the Great White North, but was pleasantly surprised by the quality of what they served me. Next time I'll have to break down and try sashimi while my sister enjoys her chicken pad Thai and makes smirky comments about her brother eating raw fish. :-) Since Clifton Park is a bedroom-community to Albany, my sister says this restaurant can get very busy with lunchtime carry-out orders and the dinner crowd.
