Super legit little family owned spot. I've tried almost all of the pho in Longmont and this place is the most authentic, both in flavor and experience. When a cold strikes there's nothing better than a hot bowl of pho. Unfortunately, when you're working in a town you don't frequent it can be difficult to find just the one. Well let me tell you: Saigon Xpress is it! Star #1: Every pho-natic knows that quality pho starts with quality broth. Saigon Xpress def delivers. Rich with flavor and loaded up with noodles, protein (rare steak in our case), onions, and the gamut of spices. Star #2: Portions are on point for the pricing. Though I think it's a little odd that they only offer a small or large size - skipping medium all together. The price difference is about $1 between the two. Star #3: Service is fast and efficient. Not a lot of chit-chat to be had here; making it a great stop for a shorter lunch break. Star #4: They offer a variety of other dishes including sandwiches, noodles, and more. All seem to be super authentic! ...The only drawback I saw was that they don't offer crab cheese wontons (which I was craving that day). Also when they dropped off our bill they didn't explain that we go up to the register to pay. So that made for a slight delay. Neither of which were that inconvenient. The location has easy ingress and egress to the large parking lot. The restaurant had several diners when I dropped in for a pick up. It is always difficult for me to be understand that I want the traditional pho beef broth, but I do not want the sliced beef. I like the vegetables and tofu instead. But when we finally understood each other, my order was ready on time. This restaurant did not provide many of the toppings that I expect when ordering pho: basil, sliced peppers, sprouts and lime. First off, you'll see in my reviews I give praise when deserved, and shun when needed. Today I had lunch and dined in. I ordered the rare steak pho and chicken wings. Before was OK. The steak was a little tough like it had been sitting in there or maybe wasn't their normal cut of rare steak and only 2 slice other restaurant Huong Viet will be 4, 5 slice of rare steak. It was already in the bowl when it arrived to the table. The wings as you will see in the photo came out a little short, no pun intended. If I'm going to pay over ten dollars for six wings it would be nice to have an actual chicken wing and not just a piece of bone and Skin. To make this more interesting, I'm looking around for my waiter so I can get my check, mentioned my Wing short coming and get on with my day. All to find him sitting down having lunch. If you want to complain, or read bad reviews for a one-off experience, from a bunch of seriously self-entitled individuals, then this is the place for you. Saigon Express, however, is the best. Fast, delicious, best pho in town, hands down. Go Friday night, seems to be even better then. As for the rest of the whiners, most of them are complaining about some major first-world problems, such as their DoorDash order, or waiting too long for takeout. Is that annoying? Sure. Is it worth a smear campaign posted on the internet for the world to see, on a site notorious for crybabies? Probably not. I would've loved to try this place out. Tried to order through DoorDash, they made the first dasher wait 15 minutes and he reassigned it. The next guy somehow got a stacked order, so mine was sitting there getting cold, while it took them (at least) 35 more minutes to do the second order. I had to bail, so it might be good. This is the best Pho I have found in the area! You will need to order extra broth, noodles and meat to get it "just right" but even with that it's a good price. And the broth and meat are solid. My wife loves the Pork Noodle bowls and the kiddo love their fried rice. Add some dumplings! read more

Absolute worst Chinese food I have ever eaten in my life, honestly. All entrees had oily greasy breading falling off the dry chicken. Disgusting. I feel like I can't give any less than four stars because, while I didn't love the large pho with rare beef ($8.55), it's just so damn cheap and the quality is mostly there. To be honest, I've never been blown away by a single pho restaurant; they're all generally good, and they all taste the same. Portions are always very generous and I always leave full, but nothing is ever fantastic. The same applies to Saigon Xpress. I will note that the pho broth was certainly on the saltier side. Also, the bahn mi is NOT traditional bahn mi. I don't know how many people will care, but it's just not. The bread isn't the same, there isn't as much carrot or radish, and there isn't normally lettuce. Still, the sandwich was delicious so I would recommend. I have eaten at Saigon express about a year ago. I really loved their noodle bowl with chicken. I just went back today for the first time and was so disappointed ...not many vegetables not many peanuts. The sauce was water down and bland and the chicken what was there was slice so thin and so dry and so chewy. The best part was the eggroll. I don't think that was a good bang for my buck at $14. My go to place for Pho (insert the flat accent over the o). I like the one with the egg rolls. These guys are doing it right. When dine in is back on, you have to sit in and get the full effect. This is my favorite Pho restaurant in Longmont/Boulder and the cheapest. I always get the large Pho with Tofu and it is less than $10 and so filling. The broth is so much more flavorful that the others that I have tried. There is one place in Lafayette that is also fantastic, but it is far from where I live, so this is a great alternative. Yes, it is true that the tables are close together, but they have little space to work with, so they do the best they can. I have always had good service here. Don't bother. Saigon Xpress used to be a solid, middle of the road restaurant for a quick lunch or dinner. The last two visits have been totally disappointing. The pho is bland and noodles mushy, the hurried wait staff can't be bothered to get the order right and if you bring this to their attention they fight with you. Last night, my friend suggested we stop in for a quick bite before seeing a movie. I was hesitant based on my previous visit but agreed, hoping that the last mediocre experience was a fluke. My friend ordered a small raw steak pho and I ordered a small tofu pho. When the food came out, it was two bowls of raw steak pho. I told our waiter that I had ordered the tofu pho and he proceeded to argue with me. My friend politely also reiterated that I had ordered tofu not steak. He then pulled the ticket out of his pile and showed it to me- "2 steak pho", and then sat there looking irritated with me. With our movie start time quickly approaching and at a total impasse with the waiter, as he clearly wasn't going to correct his mistake, I agreed to eat the steak pho knowing that I would never return to Saigon Xpress again. read more

We frequent this place once a week and it is by far the best pho in Longmont. The broth is flavorful, the noodles copious and the sides fresh. We usually get the large rare steak pho with a side of pork egg rolls. Place is usually fast and efficient and the price is great for what you get. This restaurant is shopping center where the parking can be very limited due to all the other shops around it but they do have a few spots in front reserved for there establishment. I ordered their beef noodle bowl. I had to wait about 5 extra mins when I got there but it wasn't a problem at all. I received my food and they had some tasty looking sauces on the table that I put on my noodle bowl before I left. The meal was exactly what I thought it would be. The beef was in very thin strips. I really love this place for their noodle bowls. but something really hit me the other day when it comes to customer service. My wife was in there we go in there all the time and ordered some food to go I guess she forgot to order the second noodle bowl was just for me.
