    Veggie pho
    Jazz M.

Super legit little family owned spot. I've tried almost all of the pho in Longmont and this place is the most authentic, both in flavor and experience. The veggie pho broth actually has flavor which seems to be hard to find in Longmont pho options. The chilli oil is fiiire, I mean be careful when you use it cuz it's HOT! The food arrives promptly and has been fresh and consistent each time I've visited. Don't be a whiney whitey and complain about the service, it's authentic and the family who owns the spot are sweet and kind.

    What I got???!!!

huge disappointment! I've eaten here and had orders delivered but today was it for me. I ordered multiple items tonight including their WonTon soup as shown on their website. What I got was a container of yellow water!!! WTF? I called and they wouldn't correct. They refused to refund my order for the crap soup. Shame, I liked this place but not again

When a cold strikes there's nothing better than a hot bowl of pho. Unfortunately, when you're working in a town you don't frequent it can be difficult to find just the one. Well let me tell you: Saigon Xpress is it! Star #1: Every pho-natic knows that quality pho starts with quality broth. Saigon Xpress def delivers. Rich with flavor and loaded up with noodles, protein (rare steak in our case), onions, and the gamut of spices. Star #2: Portions are on point for the pricing. Though I think it's a little odd that they only offer a small or large size - skipping medium all together. The price difference is about $1 between the two. Star #3: Service is fast and efficient. Not a lot of chit-chat to be had here; making it a great stop for a shorter lunch break. Star #4: They offer a variety of other dishes including sandwiches, noodles, and more. All seem to be super authentic! ...The only drawback I saw was that they don't offer crab cheese wontons (which I was craving that day). Also when they dropped off our bill they didn't explain that we go up to the register to pay. So that made for a slight delay. Neither of which were that inconvenient. Given that I am frequenting the Longmont area more for work, I can safely say I'll be back to Saigon Xpress to satisfy my pho craving! Yay!

The pho broth is sooo good here. Also, some of the best pad thai I've had. Definitely my new local fav.

However, on 6-14-26 Sunday we decided we wanted to get some food there, they have outside patio seating and allow dogs, so we brought our dog, 1st time experience for us sitting outside there. It was not a good one! As I took our dog to the patio from the outside, my wife went inside letting them know that we are going to get a table outside. Here is where it all began!! 15 minutes waiting, no show, no water, no nothing. My wife had to go back in and remind them; now keep in mind they have full view of the outside patio through the big glass windows. She came back, another 10 minutes. Finally came out brought silverware, chopsticks, soup spoon, no napkins, no water. We had to request that the table be cleaned because it was horrible, to the point of the wipes that were used were white ended up completely black. Got that done still no waters. Again, she had to back in request waters and that we were ready to start our order, finally came out took our order, brought us our starters, no napkins, nothing, he literally walked by our table with a napkin dispenser and was taking it inside, until I had stopped him told we needed that. Got our soup ordered 1 bowl no hardware to put our soup in the bowls, again had to go in. We ate rather quickly, fed up at this point asked for to go boxes, never showed up had to go ask for them again, same time asking him to bring out our tab so we can close out. Brought our bill, we paid and left. Just so you know we did not tip a Pennie, that time, for good reason. The guy's name was Eric, and he is their working quite frequently. Completely, disappointed, we will for sure never eat outside again, because it was filthy, and that should have been cleaned and kept cleaned just like the inside. So, from that experience always seems like they go out of their way like all places at the beginning, then they all start getting too comfortable and forget what keeps them operating. And this speaks for all of Longmont restaurants, only a few keep good service and decent prices and clean establishments.

The staff are incredibly friendly, and you can tell it's a family-owned and operated spot. It's simple and unpretentious--no pretenses, just good food. The flavors are bold and comforting. I ordered two dishes: braised beef brisket and beef stew with wontons. The braised beef was the standout for me--sweet and savory in perfect balance, with meat that melted in your mouth. The beef stew with wontons was delicious as well; the beef was tender, and the broth was clean, rich, and refreshing--great comfort food for a cold Colorado day, or any day. My wife tried the chicken pho. The broth was smooth and revitalizing, and the chicken meat seemed freshly hand-pulled. She enjoyed it immensely. If you're looking for solid, flavorful food in a welcoming, no-frills setting, this place is hard to beat.
