Ordered take out from Uber Eats, so didn't get inside to check it out. Food was amazing! I eat Vietnamese in almost every city I visit, and this was truly outstanding. I had the pork chop rice plate, and it was one of the best I've had. Offer the chop is thin and dried out, but this was thick and cooked perfectly. Was so happy! By far my favorite pho restaurant in Boulder. Might be a bold statement to make, but could easily be the best pho in Boulder. None of the other Vietnamese restaurants in Boulder hold a candle to Vina Pho IMO. Although very pricy (that's the only reason Im giving 4 stars instead of 5), the quality of the food as well as the portion sizes are amazing and I have never had a bad experience here. This place is ingrained as part of my college experience due to coming here so often after long days of studying and arduous exams. The amount of my hangovers cured in the booths here could not even be counted. The owners of the restaurant make their own chili oil (and sell it too if asked nicely!) and are very kind people. They are always very attentive and provide great service despite them having only two front of house employees most of the time. Orders are taken fast and the food arrives fast as well. The restaurant is modern and upscale while still being casual. It has a good amount of seating and can easily accommodate large parties. Like mentioned earlier, this place is amazing but is receiving a 4 star because a large bowl of pho is 20+ dollars. The restaurant could certainly cater to the predominant demographic of the area (broke college students) by lowering their prices a bit, but the increased cost here when compared to the other pho restaurants in boulder is certainly worth it for the increase in quality and taste. Decided to check this place out with my nephew since he says it is one of his favorite pho spots. This boy loves, lives, and breathes pho! Lol He was telling me about this place when I was visiting today, so I told him if he hasn't had dinner then let's go. The place is casual and clean. We were immediately greeted and sat down. The service was good and we didn't wait long for food. My nephew said that this is a new owner and that the place has been remodeled a bit and is nicer than before. I decided to try the tempura shrimp and a medium rare steak pho. I almost forgot to take pictures too! The tempura shrimp was absolutely delicious. Crispy and hot. Not oily, room temperature, or soggy. Our pho came out and the broth looked very hot and great consistency. I tasted the broth and the flavor is very good. Waaaay better than the other pho place I tried last week! We both finished our pho with a little bit of broth left. I would have to agree that my nephew does know his pho tastebuds! As someone who has been eating Pho since I was under the age of 5, Vina is by far the best Pho in Boulder. I can't speak for their other dishes because I haven't personally tried them, but friends have tried them and only had good things to say. The portions are very generous and the pho is delicious. Wanted Pho close to Canyon and 28th went to Vina. Very low key casual. Clearly does a good Door Dash business. Nothing out of the ordinary, but probably one of the top 5 Pho dishes I have had. Really flavorful, big portions - what you see is the medium size and we brought half home. Effectively 2 meals worth in each bowl. This is hands down the best tasting pho in Boulder. The broth is immaculate, and the star of the show as it should be. I know prices have gone up because of what I assume to be inflation, but the flavor and quality of food is top notch. I also tried their chicken fried rice today, and I was blown away by how delicious and flavorful it is. It's light, all pieces of meat are cut to perfection so there's no weird pieces, it's light and fluffy, not oily or heavy. It's a full savory flavor which I appreciate in a fried rice. I don't know what happened here I have been coming regularly for awhile and usually it's pretty good but last night it was terrible! The chicken in the pho was overcooked and tough to chew. We ordered boba smoothie and the boba was all stuck together in a giant clump and would not break apart. I informed our server and he argued and said it would separate and refused to re make it so i drank the whole smoothie and it never separated. I was also charged full price for it. The rice we ordered seemed like it was sitting out for awhile. It was $90 for a side of fried rice and two bowls of pho and two boba. The bottles of siracha and hoisin sauce they keep in the tables had a crusty dirty spout/ lid and really needs to be cleaned. Loved this place! My boyfriend and I are avid pho and vietnamese food lovers and this place was awesome. I got the veggie pho and the tofu spring rolls 9/10. I wish there were more vegetables and maybe the containers were wider instead of taller so it's easier to eat? but it tastes amazing. The tofu was also pretty good but the peanut sauce was AMAZING. Boulder has a properly good Vietnamese restaurant here. They make their Bahn Mi the right way, with freshly cooked French bread and plenty of the right fillings. They also have good Vietnamese Iced Coffee and plentiful Imperial Rolls. This is just as good as the Vietnamese restaurants you find in San Francisco. read more

I had it a couple of times in the past month and I was surprised. The flavor has definitely changed from like a year ago when the soup was basically an MSG solution. My Vietnamese friend told me the soup is the soul of a pho bowl and the ones I had most recently definitely had a real soul! The only other comment I have right now is the serving size. Between the medium and large, I don't see much difference in terms of the amount of meat. There's a small increase in the amount of noodles and soup, and that's it. This was our first choice for pho for years-- until they removed the option for a small pho and instead opted for the large bowl only. I had lunch here with my son and we spent $75 on lunch for 2 since they got rid of the smaller bowl option. Because we used to like to order appetizers, tea, an appetizer etc... and AND After changing the decor the prices of each menu item skyrocketed.... This place is probably the best pho you can find in the city of Boulder, and I definitely say that with a deep sadness. Vina is pretty mediocre, underwhelming compared to pretty much any Vietnamese restaurant you find in the Broomfield area. The price is also a bit higher than you'd expect, and the service is also spotty depending on the night. One of my first times coming here, I ordered take out and was instructed to sit on the side after ordering. I waited 30 minutes before becoming impatient and asking what's going on. Turned out they forgot my order completely, rushed the order out in another 15 minutes with no apologies or compensation. In general it's just kind of makes me a bit sad. If I feel like having pho, I pretty much have to come here since there aren't many other options in Boulder. I have to start off by saying that I agree with the other reviewers that the service is horrible. I know at a pho place, no one will expect top notch service but this place was beyond horrible with the service. I walked into the restaurant and stood there awkwardly waiting for a waiter to sit me down. The atmosphere of the restaurant was very nice, it was a good touch, but I won't give an additional star for that. Now onto the food. I was beyond disappointed. The food, while it did taste fine, the portions were extremely small for what it was worth. I ended up paying $7.10 for my small pho after tax. The small pho usually fills me up, but this small pho barely had any noodles and only had about 5 slices of beef. I really wanted to tell the waiter how I felt because the food was fine, but the quantity was not worth the price. The pho here is overpriced, and not the best. I will not come back here until they realize they need friendly staff, and need to serve more portions for the price. If I were to go to Pho duy or Pho 95, the small would cost about 6.00 after tax, and I'd be super full that I wouldn't be able to move. The chicken Pho was bad. I had to pick out the chicken pieces. Unedible. They tasted and looked old. Nasty pieces of hardened fat chunks were hanging on half of the hard chicken chunks. When I mentioned it to my server he said that's how they do it. No apology, no explanation. No price reduction. Another man came over and looked at it and tried to describe in broken English (which is totally fine but hard to understand) that the people who picked the chicken are to blame. Not my problem, is it? Also, the broth tasted artificial and I wouldn't be surprised if glutamate (MSG) created the overly salty taste in an almost transparent 'broth'. Never again! There just wasn't enough to the broth and after I added some lime, it was an absolute goner. One big observation is that when I have gone to other Pho places in the past, I have grown accustom to hughmungoid portions. That was not the case here. Me and my roommate was looking for a good place to eat and we stumbled upon this place. I ordered the noodle bowl with grilled beef and imperial egg rolls. The portions are a little weak compared to other Vietnamese restaurants I've been to, but it got me full. The beef was tasty, the imperial rolls were not good though. I love this place. This is my go to spot for pho! They are so quick and friendly here. The pho is fantastic. I've had the crab cream cheese wontons and the pork dumplings before- delish!
