    The awesome crew (minus Jen)

Captain Cloe, and crew mates: Megan, Jen, and Braden were awesome! They were professional, friendly, and polite. We had a fun time and the food and beverages were great. Glad we sailed with them!

We had the BEST day with Sail Maui on their Molokini Crater snorkeling excursion! This is hands down our favorite excursion that we make sure to do every single year when we visit Maui. The entire experience was incredible from start to finish. Captain Brandon was amazing and made the trip extra special by letting the kids each take turns steering the boat -- such a fun memory they will never forget! Kenzie, Megan, and Joe were all so attentive, friendly, and constantly checking in to make sure everyone had everything they needed. The customer service truly stood out and made the whole experience feel relaxed and welcoming. The food was delicious, the music was fun, the snorkeling was fantastic, and today's weather could not have been more perfect. Molokini Crater was absolutely beautiful with amazing visibility in the water. If you are visiting Maui, Sail Maui is an absolute must-do experience. We already cannot wait for next year!

Thank you Jess, Dustin, and Captain Kevin for the wonderful memories on the sunset cruise. You are the best crew!

It's about the journey! May 2025 We had looked at the ever touted "other" Molokini cat ride (KK2) and decided to try Sail Maui due to the huge price difference. We chose correctly! The Sail Maui crew rocked hard, were totally competent, friendly, and hospitable, the food was great, the ride to and from was epic, the snorkel gear was great, the family chose to use their gear instead of our own, I used my personal prescription mask for obvious reasons. While the high end motored cabin boats filled their enclosed salons to the brim with tourists, our 48 passenger capacity boat had 14 guests, and as such resulted in tons of personal attention and interaction. I hope I remembered the names correctly, but Capt Justin and crew Jade, Jess, and Geoffrey totally knew their stuff and were warm and friendly. I really need Justin's cruise playlist, too. Molokini was, Molikini. Unparalleled clarity and lots of coral and sea life. But as they say, it's the journey, and our Sail Maui crew made the entire excursion an epic one.

Capt. Branden, Joey and Jenny were great hosts on our 5 hour excursion. We have utilized Sail Maui for many years and will continue to do so. Great for families, friends and couples. Such a personalized feel to the trip (not crowded) and great value. Saw a bunch of whales including breaching 100 yards from the boat. Snorkeling on Molikini was great and seeing the ocean go from 10ft to 400ft near Molikini was amazing. Breakfast and lunch are well done and service is always friendly. Thanks for a great trip!

Happy engaging staff, beautiful Hawaiian waters, plenty of beverage options, delicious snacks and a sunset what more could you ask for? A good spacious catamaran and great captain! Absolutely enjoyed every minute of our sunset sail and would do it again when we come next time. Don't forget to tip your staff, they only remind you kindly once at the end but they should let you know up front as the staff is fabulous. They have relocated to a marina south of Lahaina

What is good to really like? A much smaller boat which in this Covid days is a good thing! Christmas Day catamaran snorkeling to Lanai became a snorkel whale watch tour. Got a huge Christmas Gift of early whales and the captain took a lot of time to sail and float near so we could get some awesome views both going out and even coming back. Snorkeling was MEH but enjoyable, food was simple fair; fruit box's and continental breakfast and lunch was hearty make your own sandwich with all the fixings in your personal labeled lunch box ( Covid ). Captain and crew were great in offering and bussing drinks before and after snorkeling. All in all couldn't be a better way to spend Christmas Day in this tragic Covid time.

On our vacation to Maui last week, we took trips out to the sea with Sea Maui twice. Our first trip…read moreout was an adults-only family excursion while the kids hung out with their grandma and auntie. The catamaran was pretty sweet, with some really comfy bean bags overlooking the edge out to the ocean. While we did occasionally get splashed in this area, it was worth the unobstructed view of the sunset and the breeze in my hair. The crew was especially sweet and treated all of us like absolute royalty. A note to those who are prone to motion sickness: do not try to be brave and only wear sea bands thinking you'll be okay. Take your Dramamine an hour before you board the catamaran. While the first half of our dinner cruise was fine with my motion sickness, the second half of the trip left me feeling really queasy around dinner service time. This made me very sad. This was no fault of the crew, and 100% my fault for thinking I could tough it out. If you are ill-prepared, the crew has ginger ale, club soda and ginger chews to help. Speaking of dinner, the few bites I was able to eat on our first trip were fantastic: a full dinner buffet prepared by Cafe Jai. The salmon was perfectly tender, as was the short rib. The caesar salad was just the right amount of tangy (and the extra dressing was really great on the salmon as well.) I'm not sure what kind of sauce was on the crispy seasoned potatoes but they were absolutely delightful. And of course, the crown on top of a delicious meal was the mini brownie cup we were served for dessert before we wrapped up the trip. Our second trip (where I was prepared with some Dramamine) was a memorial for our grandparents, where we released their cremains at sea with eco-urns. I must say that the crew handled everything wonderfully. We had the full bar, another beautiful buffet spread including some delicious crispy chicken, a pesto pasta salad, pulled beef sliders, and rolls. After we said our emotional goodbyes, we were given rose petals to release into the ocean. We even received certificates after the trip that gave us the coordinates of where my grandparents cremains were released. I seriously cannot thank Sea Maui enough for giving my family a truly memorable experience on our trip to Maui. They made our trip so special. A million thanks for the kindness!

The Irish gentleman who pre-briefed us before leaving for the tour had a great sense of humor and set the tone for our excursion. Once aboard, the Captain and his crew were polite, cordial, fun loving and efficient. The food was great and the crew busied theirselves insuring everyone was comfortable, had drinks and the proper snorkeling gear. We saw many, many whales and at least 12 displays of whales big and small leaping out of the water. The hour long snorkeling provided the passengers with a myriad of tropical fish and sea turtles. We even had one try to climb the ladder into the boat. The fees for the excursion were fair and we definitely got our moneys worth for all we saw and participated in. I highly recommend The Sea Maui if you are looking for a great experience for you and your family or tour group.

Directions were clear and concise. Check in was quick and easy. This company provides lunch coolers with a continental breakfast and a light lunch. Drinks are provided on board the vessel. I was great to have a little sustenance, as snorkeling in the sun is tiresome. We also recommend the wet suit jacket for rent at check in. They were helpful in the cooler waters. Allison and Jack were phenomenal from start to finish. Captain Allison at the helm was skilled and knowledgeable. First Mate Jack was the epitome of hospitality tending to guests and providing equipment. It took about 40 minutes to reach our first snorkeling destination. Allison gaged the water and other boats to ensure we had quality spots. The water was absolutely pristine and there was so much to see and observe. After an hour, we all returned to the boat to seek out a second spot. This one was even better than the first and we had the place all to ourselves. I was traveling with a 13 year old and 9 year old. Both did well in the water and were able to use the equipment without any issues. The vessel is on the smaller side and accommodated about 25 guests on our trip. I have taken trips bon larger boats and it takes forever getting people in and out of the water. We were definitely able to maximize our time in both locations. I highly recommend this trip! Ease of getting to the boat and the check in process were super easy. A snack pack with breakfast and lunch was incredibly helpful in keeping hunger at bay while out on this excursion. Allison and Jack were the absolute best and definitely made our experience. Please call Ms. Mona directly for an excellent price an experience you won't soon forget.

About 125 feet down to look at a modest little reef, a few small fish, and a boat they sank years ago that's now wearing a coat of algae. That's the whole show. And "show" is the right word. A surprising amount of the experience is dedicated to a scripted performance between the "pilot" below and a "controller" up top, a steady stream of "roger this" and "roger that" theatrics that's clearly meant to manufacture drama. It doesn't add wonder. It just fills time, and after a while it feels less like an adventure and more like being talked at while you wait for something that never really arrives. For the price, the substance simply isn't there. You're paying premium money for a brief look at an underwhelming patch of seafloor, wrapped in a lot of manufactured atmosphere. If you genuinely want to see Maui's marine life, a decent snorkel trip will show you more color, more fish, and more magic for a fraction of the cost. Two stars instead of one only because the sub itself is clean and the staff are pleasant. But on value and the actual experience? This was hype over substance. I'd skip it and put the money toward something that delivers.

At least give a topping included, then up-charge for more. On top of that, the $1.50 for sprinkles was a disgrace when the kid didn't get even $.10 worth. There was a tad confusion around the alcohol as well. Understand there's permit restrictions but it would've been nice to know when placing the order instead of when the drink was delivered. Signage isn't clear either. The "only 21 and over past this point" should have a blurb about no alcohol in the main seating. Oh well, we worked with it. Oh, and the sweat that dripped into the ladies plate who was doing the tasting experience was gross - even she said something and got attitude back from the upstairs hosts. Again, three stars awarded as we didn't really partake in anything outside of the cafe top level. Giving the benefit of the doubt the rest of the experience would've probably been good.
