First of all, we have rented a property from Sail for 8 years, and have always had excellent experiences. Some of the staff have here since we moved in, others are new. That being said, everyone at Sail is "top tier" professionals. The absolute best. Recently, we had a big maintenance issue ( the whole house needed the ceilings skimmed) ; anyhow, after getting owner approval, the contractor hired turned out to be an unusual sort of unprofessional. Without going into all that craziness, let me just say the way Justine from Sail stepped up and resolved the issue was phenomenal. What was keeping me up at night (yes, it really was) suddenly turned around with their amazing replacement contractor, Tim. He was nothing short of a one man team worth 5 men. He was considerate, honest, and reassuring the entire time. He finished our ceilings, with me at ease. Sleeping soundly. I can't say enough about this property management company. I have lived in my apartment for 14 years, the last 3 we have had Sail as our property management company. We were notified that our annual walk through was coming up on a certain date, which I needed to put off for a week due to company from out of town. Justine was extremely understanding and we set a date/time that worked for both of us. I had never met her before, we have had different people the previous 2 years. These people are scammers--do not try to rent a home from them. They charged us an application fee, and we went through the process. My actual credit score is 744. But they lied and told me it was 619, clearly just to avoid giving us the property. I even contacted TransUnion and paid to pull my credit report--it showed exactly what I said: a score of 744. I sent them the proof. But then, they made another excuse and said, "We're now reviewing someone else's application instead." So please, do not deal with these people. Do not try to rent anything from them. They are dishonest and manipulative. I asked for a refund, and they refused. Save yourself the time and money--stay away from them. read more

I reached out to her and her team last minute as I had a very small window where I had people available to help me move only a specific day as I've been temporarily handicap & injured from a work injury on top of being really busy with work. She reminded me the property was going to be available on 12/13 as they had prep work to be completed but my only move in date was 12/10. She rounded up all of her contacts 2-3 days prior to that date to not only get me approved but got all of the trades in to complete all of the touch up work needed for move in. We had a major water damage event where a prior repair to us moving in was not done properly and when it rained water pooled over the ceiling in living room eventually giving way. major damage to home and our furniture. We asked to move out for a month because the home was wide open exposed to the elements and we were denied this. forced to live in a wet freezing home and pay full rent. The worst property management we have ever experienced. I can't even put into words how horribly they treated us. We rented a home that had a roof leak and they sent over a very incompetent contractor to "repair" they ended up ripping out the entire ceiling of our living room during a rain storm and left us exposed to open rain flooding our entire living area freezing cold soaked and ruined our furniture their contractor tried to patch it with a tarp taped to our ceiling......we had reached out to them multiple times explaining it was inhabitable for us and our 4 small children and would like to go stay somewhere else until it was fixed and not pay rent those days they only agreed to a very small rent credit that would not even be able to get a place to accommodate our family it was a complete nightmare their contractor even stole my rug after it was soaked and I asked for it back with no response I asked if they could replace my rug and couch they said no we were out thousands of dollars and they only said oh well sorry about the problems we even tried to make a claim with renters insurance and were denied because it was them at fault for our damages anyways I could go on and on about how terrible it was but that's a simple intro to it read more

They treated us like low class citizens & rode off all our concerns. They only cared about the evil landlords & never followed the legal rules of california. Anytime we voiced concerns they told us to just move if we didn't like how something was handled. I lived in my apartment for 8 years and once they took over it was horrible. They never fixed any of the issues such as mouse infestation, floor falling apart, & constant water leak in our garage. I loved my long beach apartment but b/c of sail properties & the neglectful landlords we decided to move.
